We have two identical Lenovo computers, both new and both running Windows 11. This problem is only occurring on one of them. Both are using Firefox and yahoo mail. On one, the problem occurs when trying to either add or edit a contact. The contact will open, but only show the upper fields. The scroll bar fills almost the entire right side, so it is impossible to go down further into the contact information to either edit or add information. On this same computer, opening yahoo mail using edge instead of firefox avoids the problem, i.e. the whole of the contact is available to edit in a normal way.

Obviously, this is a settings issue on this one computer, but I have no idea where or how to correct it.

Anyone have an idea?

Since the last update (earlier this week) firefox uses large amounts of memory. It shows in the windows task manager 20 and more instances of firefox being open and one of them using 85%-90% of the available memory. I looked up help articles regarding this issue and one of them mentioned to "Delete content-prefs.sqlite file". When I do that it will help for a short period of time but then the issue is happening again. I'm using Windows 11 64 bit.

I'd appreciate some advice on how to deal with this.

I had to reinstall Windows 10. Then I re -install the Mozilla browser and windows taskbar won't pop up over Mozilla. I found bug fixes I did but didn't help.

I have custom URL's set when opening my homepage. For the last few weeks, Firefox has been opening tabs from the last session. I've checked the URL's and they are correct in the settings but for some reason they're not loading properly.

However, the pages that load at start up are not these URL's, instead they're opening with the ones in the photo I provided. How do I fix this or do I need to select a different default browser?

I'm seeking help because sound is not working on Firefox. All other software are able to produce sound on every speaker and headphones I have. The speaker logo does not appear in tabs were videos or music is playing and firefox doesn't show up in EarTrumpet. It does show in the volume mixer but no bar appears to show it is displaying sound while media is playing.

I'm running : Firefox version 119.0 64 bits Windows 10 64 bits version 22h2, OS build 19045.3570

I've tried :

1. Restarting Firefox
2. Muting/Unmuting Firefox in the volume mixer, in firefox tabs too
3. Downgrading to version 118.02 32 bits
4. Uninstalling all my audio drivers followed by a restart (they got re installed but no change for Firefox)
5. Restarting Firefox with all addons disabled

I'm running out of solutions.

'After last update, the new tab option does not offer either a selection of most visited sites or recent sites despite that both are check on in the settings. How can I turn on that function again?

Hello, On 18th Oct this year, blogger would not let me upload picture files from my computer - it gives the message 'Allow google.com to use cookies - you will not be able to access your files if necessary cookies are turned off'. I click Accept but nothing happens, so I click close and the window goes away without solving the problem. Uploading and publishing blogs with images was working with no problem two days earlier. I was still logged into my gmail account and had not made any changes. This is what I have tried. 1 - Switched off enhanced tracking protection for this site, as suggested by Firefox. It allowed me to upload 1 image into a draft post but this had disappeared the next time I opened the draft. Since then I have been getting the error message and not been able to upload images. 2 - cleared the cookies from google, as suggested by firefox. No effect 3 - cleared the cache and site data as suggested. No effect. I followed this with closing Firefox and reloading, logging back in to gmail, and still the problem persists. I have a problem retrieving my favorites/bookmarks. I changed computers (all of them, even the hard drives).

I would like to recover my favorites/bookmarks but cannot do so because I am asked to look for them in folders that I no longer have, because they are on the old computer.

Does Firefox not save any information about my favorites/bookmarks? Have I lost them all? Do I have to redo my whole life?

Outlook recently made Edge or Chrome the default browser, with no possibility (as far as I can see) of choosing Firefox. In Outlook FILE/OPTIONS/ADVANCED, it seem impossible to choose Firefox.

How can I make Firefox the default browser. This situation occurred after recent update (October 2023).

Youtube not working in a new tab when I open a link on a new tab from youtube. The Shorts are working fine. Both videos and shorts are working on chrome but not on mozilla.

The "Layout.css.page-size.enabled" configuration parameter = False ,worked effectively in previous versions, but after updating to Firefox 119.0, it no longer works whether I set it to True or False.

Orientation option is missing when I try to print documents from a website. The Firefox Print Preview window, which usually allows orientation choices for printing, is now not available.

When I close the tab it disappears from the top, but remains in the process manager and loads the CPU heavily. Running the browser in safe mode gives the same result

I'm essentially new to the subject of containers. Forgive the awkward title, but I couldn't figure out how to concisely express what I'm curious about.

For example, hypothetically you have a 3000+ tab session, which on occasion may max out your cpu/memory with unpleasant/inconvenient consequences.

I was watching a Youtube video on the subject, mentioning that, in some ways, containers can be compared to kinda like having multiple, isolated profiles.

Is that how it works? Can I separate 3000+ tabs into 6 containers of 500 each, and expect each one of them to behave independently of the others, like 6 separate profiles, at least from a memory management perspective?

Hi, I am seeing issues with autoscrolling in 119.0. In Rundeck for example you can "follow" the output of playbooks that are running so you can dynamically see the log as it is written. The autoscrolling in this field has stopped working. When manually scrolling in the field, more messages appear but the autoscrolling is no longer functional. I have also seen it on other places, though I don't have remember good examples to add, so I don't believe it is Rundeck causing the issue--we also haven't updated rundeck recently in our environment, so it shouldn't have changed since before 119.0 was released. Let me know if there is more information I can provide to diagnose the issue.

Whenever I open a local HTML file, Firefox tab will crash. This happens if the HTML file size is big (>4MB), smaller file doesn't crash.

I've tried opening the file on Chrome, it doesn't crash and open just fine. So it seems like this is a bug with Firefox.

This has been an ongoing issue for sometime with Firefox.

Backstory time. I am a regular shopper on eBay and I get email alerts for things I like to look at and for. Unfortunately, on my Outlook/Hotmail account, in these particular messages, the images don't load properly for some reason. And I would like to know the way to resolve this once and for all. Thank you.
