I just installed an update when prompted by Firefox. Now I can't log into Hotmail.

FF 129.0.2 x64. The update restarted FF. Everything else seems to work OK. But when I go to Hotmail.com, at first it displays my Hotmail inbox - which is odd; all other webpages requiring a login were logged out when I installed the update, requiring me to log in again - but then it switches to an error:

Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later.

The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again.

The same Hotmail account is still logged in and functioning on Chrome. This is why I think it's a FF-specific problem.

Last night I made the mistake of clicking a sketchy link on twitter thinking what it was some meme site( the person who tweeted is someone I know personally so I thought it was safe) once I clicked on it, I wasn’t redirected to the site so I thought it was weird then once I learned that he deleted it because it was compromised. I got scared and I was running scans through Microsoft defender. After the full scan it said that it detected Trojan:HTML/Phish!pz and the affected files where C:\Users\….\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\cq0glqqq.default-release\cache2\entries. I deleted my cache a few hours later than I should.

So I reached out to a friend and they told me that it was probably was a false flag and I didn’t need to delete my cache. But I’m nervous that it’s an actual threat and I should do more to ensure my computer is completely safe. Also probably a lot of grammar mistakes I haven’t slept since I got this information.

Cannot access local address 192.168.1.1 which is the address of the GUI interface to my ISP Gateway settings menu. I need it to be able to make changes to the Gateway settings.

I use to get displayed "Advanced" that allowed me to continue forward to get to an "insecure site", only recently that has not been happening (so I am stuck).

Any suggestions, advice, and/or workarounds are appreciated.

Hi, I'm using Linux Mint 22, Firefox 129.0 (64-bit). Browser is hanging after approximately 4 hours. Not sure if this is a Firefox issue, but this is where I'm starting the troubleshooting process. My suspects are (1) the browser, (2) NVIDIA drivers (3) the new Linux Mint kernel or possibly (4) a mix of the above. This was a fresh install with default options on (Wilma). Using the latest graphics drivers for GeForceRTX 2060, driver version 555.58.02, went down to native drivers, no change. Honestly, this one has me baffled. Been troubleshooting this for 3 days. It feels like a memory leak. Nothing on the crash reports. First, browser will hang, then mouse and keyboard. Hard reboot is the only option. Any help would be appreciated.

When I'm composing a message there, and copy some text from i.e. that thread page, this thread page, a google search, etc. in the Firefox browser, and try to paste it into my message, nothing happens.

However, If I paste the item elsewhere, i.e. in my test editor, and copy it from there, then I can paste it into the answers.microsoft.com. thread message.

I initially thought this was some Microsoft site restriction, but I don't experience this in Chrome. Not only can I paste into a thread there, but I can copy something on that page and paste it into that Microsoft thread in Firefox.

So I suppose. strictly speaking, this is a pasting problem.

Hi! I'm using Firefox 126.0 on Fedora 39.

Pages from Amazon.co.uk load very slowly, incompletely, or not at all. All other Web sites are fine.

I had a couple of certificate-related errors saying that the identity of the site couldn't be verified, but I can't reproduce the problem, so I can't quote the exact wording, I'm afraid.

The same Amazon pages load properly in Chrome on the same machine, and they load properly in Firefox in a VM on the same machine. That tells me network connectivity must be fine.

I've tried disabling all extensions, reverting to the default theme, running in Troubleshoot Mode, clearing cookies and site data, clearing the startup cache, disabling hardware acceleration, and creating a new profile. The new profile helps slightly, in that it loads more of the page before getting stuck. Nothing else helps at all.

I'd prefer not to refresh Firefox if I can avoid it, because I don't want to lose all my plugins and settings. This installation is five years old. Besides, a new profile didn't fix the problem.

What's the next thing to try? I'd really appreciate any ideas.

I'm running Firefox 100.0 (64 bit) on windows 10 pro 21H2. I've been using Firefox to access Flightradar24 to view real time flight across the globe. All of a sudden today the map doesn't appear any more . I think they use Google maps and overlay their info.

The maps show properly in MS EDGE and Google Chrome.

I know it may sound a bit strange, but I would like to know WHY an extension is not allowed in a private window, so I might understand the reason why I'm not able to diagnose an issue I'm having with fucking amazon who has their cart all over the place for a misconfiguration in firefox that either I did or an extension is causing, however I'm unable to figure out which because I can't enable extensions in private windows, where the issue does not happen, so I'm not able to reproduce and isolate the problem. Specifically, this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/extensions-private-browsing Plus, I was kinda expecting I could run STG in private too, since it offer such nice and rich grouping and memory management features vanilla FF does not (PS: please take inspiration and bake it inside!!) I use a web application that lists items in a table, which provides a link to download the table as a CSV file. It used to work fine in previous versions of Firefox. However, in the current version, while the file save dialog defaults to a filename that ends in .csv and CSV is selected in the "Save as type:" drop-down, the data in the file that Firefox actually saves is in XML rather than CSV format. I don't know in which version of Firefox this behavior changed, as it's been a couple years since I tried to use this feature. Or I suppose it actually could be a new bug. I do know that when I use the same feature in Microsoft Edge, it saves the CSV file in the correct format, so this behavior seems to be peculiar to Firefox, rather than anything wrong with the web application.

How come there is no option to turn off "Firefox Translation"? I speak three languages and every time I visit foreign web site, Firefox suggest translation to me. It's annoying.

Having used Thunderbird for some time, I installed it on a new PC, and found that virtually all my emails on a particular account seem to have been deleted, despite the app being set up to retain them. I checked on the webmail (BT) and they have gone. The account is set up as IMAP - as is another account on the same server, which seems OK. BT won't engage with me on this as they "don't support third party apps" I assume that 3 years worth of important client history is gone for ever? Can anyone suggest what I did wrong, or is this a software failure?

(See screenshot below) Secure DNS, check DNSSEC, check TLS 1.3 check Enrypted SNI, fail In Firefox i tried doing exactly what the person did in the video but i dont have the settings he is showing in about:config Why is that? (Below you can see the screenshot, those settings are missing from about:config)

So my question reamins simple, how can i enable Enrypted SNI in Firefox?
