Beginning two days ago, Firefox will not log me into multiple sites including substack.com, seekingalpha.com, epochtimes.com (login not even visible). On other sites (especially schwab.com, fmls.com) basic functionality is limited. I have no issues logging into or using these sites normally using Chrome.

I've turned of strict privacy standards (if they don't work, what the point of using a privacy/security centric browser). I've also turned off tracking protection for these sites, to no avail.

I've used Firefox since it was created, but it is making life difficult for me now on the web. I don't want to use Chrome, but it does work. Please help.

Please help me remove this blank area section on the web pages. its on all of them on every tab. I have tried restarting and updating. I cant get it to go away.

A while ago I formatted my computer, and installed FireFox for the first time. Ever since installing FireFox, I noticed an issue which has been a constant source of frustration, when I rewind any YouTube video the playback volume changes to a lower value, until I rewind again.

I tried looking online, this is the closest match I've found, but there's no solution there

I tested this issue on different browsers (Edge, and IE), no problems there. I tried disabling extensions, no change. I tried resetting FireFox, no change. I made sure that Windows doesn't automatically adjust system volume. I tested this issue on different Video platforms, no problems there.

I use YouTube when I practice (music), so I rewind a lot.

Any help is very appreciated.

Learn more… This is what i'm getting and need to know how to get passed it as its a phone system in Utah I need to access remotely because they are having issues. I was able to get in the first time it had the advance tab and just click access site anyways.

Fission locks up my PC to the point where nothing works. Even keystrokes are simply ignored. Looking at the Task Manager, I find a huge number of Firefox processes running with 100% CPU usage. If I wait until CPU usage goes down, the PC starts working again. The number of processes shown is significantly more than the actual number of Firefox copies running. Note that these are individual copies because I do not use tabs.

With Fission disabled, PC lockup is no longer a problem. The number of processes shown more closely matches the actual number of Firefox copies running, and the CPU no longer gets smacked with 100% usage.

For some reason (probably Microsoft vandalism), Firefox was removed from my startup programs a few weeks ago. I looked in the MS list of apps and saw 2 versions of x64 Firefox, -GB and -US. Being in GB, I chose to uninstall the US version. Then Firefox stopped working. It was not longer shown on my desktop, and had disappeared from the start menu. But the GB version was still listed in the app list (209MB), but I cannot find out how to start it. IOBit suggests it is buried in ../Appdata/local. It does not appear when I use the taskbar search for Firefox.

So I reinstalled Firefox, but the tool gave no options on which version to install, nor where to install it. The US version was reinstalled on my C: drive. Just going round in circles.

Hello, recently I noticed both of my computers get hot and fans get loud, I did some research and figured it's the Firefox that's causing it when I go to task manager the memory usage is always high and the CPU sometimes spikes up to 60-70% usage and the power usage is at very high . One of the laptops is windows 11 and the other is windows 10 . Please let me know if there's any fix to this. Thank you.

I have now had two websites that are having problems with a fully updated Firefox and they are telling me to update the Browser. Chase and now the IRS site is wanting me to update and I'm running 97.0.1 (64 bit). Win10 that is also fully updated.

Google maps loads correctly and after a few seconds it turns black and you can't see anything... i have removed add-ons and turned off hardware acceleration and cleared cache but nothing works for more than a minute... how can we fix this?

I have encounter a very odd situation where my Firefox wont launch properly where address bar does not work, no content can be display and the page, I have tried: 1. Uninstall (NSIS Error- Error launching installer) 2. Download a new installer from FireFox and install on top if current ver. 97.0.1(64 bits), same behavior just blank screen. 3. Trying to go setting but nothing happened when go three line and settings (the page stay at blank page) 4. I can click + to create new tab but could not switch to it. I have to close current tab and it will automaticlly goes to the next tab (still blank page) 5. Unable to signin to sync data 6. Whenever I launch Firefox, it will always have two task and one of them always not responding and browser become not responding 7. Restart did not solve the problem so does install FireFox on different Winodws profile. 8. About:support could not be display

I seem to be having a problem when playing any VR content in the latest default version of Firefox (97.0.1, 64-bit). When VR content is being displayed, I do not get a prompt to allow access to my VR headset in the address bar.

I have a first generation Oculus Rift CV1. In the Oculus software's settings, I have enabled Unknown Sources and selected it as my default OpenXR runtime (see attached image).

I would like to provide some suggestions as to what might be going wrong but I am unable to even hazard a guess. VR games and standalone applications work fine. It is almost as if Firefox doesn't recognise I have a VR-compatible device?

Hello, today while reinstalling my Firefox ,despite data sync was enabled on my account, I lost all data like: custom look, bookmarks and saved passwords. Here is my question: Is there any chance to bring that data back? I've tried to get my Bookmarks from backup and synchronizing data few times but it seems that account lost it. The window will flicker and Firefox becomes unresponsive until it just exits and with no Mozilla Crash Reporter window appearance.

• The crash happens upon a new default Firefox 97.0.1 profile on Windows 11.
• It do not occure in Firefox 98.0b9.
• The CSS Snowfall Effect is likely unrelated, visiting its CodePen directly do not trigger the crash: codepen.io/alvarotrigo/pen/YzxJpoE

Since the new Firefox browser print system dialog was introduced, replacing the system print dialog panel, the process takes an excessive amount of time to process a print to a device or other interface (especially Preview), compared to the previous version as well as when compared to other browsers, like Safari.

By excessive, I mean 10-30 seconds for anything in the browser; where previously the request was completed in 1-2 seconds.

OS: macOS Sierra (10.12.6) FF: 97.0.1
