I clicked on 'block cookies' option( never seen this before but I trust you guys so....) when I logged onto firefox this morning, since then there are various apps I cannot get on to, eg Twitter, my banking through Nationwide, very frsutrating. So I tried to set a restore point prior to thios morning but that made no dofference, getting desperate now.

I was wondering if I can enable this function (that green text saying "Mozilla Foundation (US)") or it was deleted. If it's still in browser, can someone show me how to enable it?

As I long time user and supporter (have donated and even got a shirt to show!) I have never had any issues with my beloved FF. If anything minor had happened, I would always find a quick fix on the community forums.

This one is an odd ball: for a while now Firefox forgets all saved passwords but only after a cold reboot (not a restart or sleep).

It's my elderly mum's laptop, which I manage for her using a remote desktop app. It's a fairly new Asus Vivobook with Win11, fully updated and free from viruses and hacks as we have installed paid versions of both Malwarebytes and HitmanPro.Alert. My Windows desktop runs exactly the same OS and those two security software, and my FF never ever forgets anything! The only difference is that her Windows and FF are set to the Italian language while mine is English.

After trying a "refresh", I exported her passwords and bookmarks and took the drastic step of completely wiping FF and even removing profiles. Reinstalled the latest x64 version and the problem is still happening.

Had a good look at both security software to ensure there was no funny setting to cause that to occur, fact is the laptop also runs Chrome and Edge with all the same saved passwords yet those two pesky browsers never forget anything!

Personally, I'd much prefer for her to continue to use FF rather than the other two, so I am shouting out for HELP, please! Hope someone has seen this and/or knows how to fix it.

When I first launch Firefox I see it open briefly (a couple of seconds) and then it immediately closes/crashes. When I launch it again it works fine? This has been happening for a few days, maybe since update Version 107.0 64-bit.

This is a very bizarre problem. Basically I can't install any Firefox addon neither on my desktop OR may laptop. I noticed this issue just couple of days ago. When I try to install any addon normally, from a link, it tells me that the addon can't be installed because the file is corrupt. Tried several addons, all same problem. On my desktop AND on my laptop. On my desktop I'm running ver. 103, but on my laptop I still had ver. 102.1, so there is no Firefox update issue. When I try to install addon from xpi file, it tells me that I have no permission to open that file and that's it. I tried to take ownership of that file but it didn't solve the issue I tried to disable my AV program, but it didn't do anything. On my laptop, I tried to refresh FF, no help. I tried to start FF in safe mode, same problem. I created new profile, same issue. Eventually, I totally uninstalled FF, removing program itself, removing Appdata folder and even registry entry. Installed fresh copy of FF, same problem exists. Then, I noticed one thing. When I tried to sync fresh FF installation on my laptop, it synced everything, EXCEPT for addons. So, something is preventing me doing anything regarding addons. Themes install just fine. I've struggling with this problem since yesterday and at this point I totally ran out of any fresh ideas how to solve this issue, thus posting here. I'll appreciate any fresh idea as what to do next. When signing in to my Barclays On Line account,the 2nd page of the sequence is distorted such that one vital box can only be seen my reducing the page to 65%. This happens on two PC's both are using Firefox. Browsing with Edge gives no problem! One PC is running win 10 the other Win11 - both have Norton 360 AV. Is this a FF or Barclays problem?

For awhile now whenever I visit Kickstarter, I never get the full page to load. I mainly notice it in the header where the info for the campaign information doesn't show on Firefox. I've tried playing around with my widgets and protection to see if that would allow the page to fully load, but nothing has worked.

I am a computer technician currently trying to write a small python script that will clear a users cache, cookies, and history in Firefox on a Mac.

From what I can tell, both the history and bookmarks for a user is saved in one file named "places" (specifically under "/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/[jargon].default-release/places.sqlite")

Is there a way to clear just the history for a user, that doesn't go through the browser GUI? I would really like to avoid mixing CLT with Selenium or something of that sort with python.
