I use Firefox in 4 Machines.. very recently I signed my firefox account in College PC.. after signing in there when I try to open in my laptop. I lost all the pinned sites in my firefox. it only shows the College PC pinned websites and histories.. not the previous ones

I see instructions for sync' to a phone, how do I initially (connect) sync to my desktop from my laptop?

When I sync my bookmarks, how does is know which computer is the primary (the one that I want to duplicate changes from)?

For example, I added new bookmarks and revised some old ones on my laptop and did not have the sync on my desktop at the same time. Now, if I sync my laptop to my desktop, how does it know which device is my primary (in this case my laptop) where I made all the changes?

My goal is to revise all the bookmarks currently on my desktop to reflect all the changes I made to them on my laptop. I'd like to do it without duplicates or displaying old desktop residual bookmarks that I deleted and/or modified on the laptop prior to sync to the desktop.

In this case, should I delete my bookmarks from my desktop and then sync to my laptop so as to seamlessly & efficiently have my bookmarks toolbar on the laptop look the same on the desktop?

Hi everyone, I am unable to save login credentials of my website in firefox. Is there any option asking to save password?

my computer broke about 2 months back and i am wondering if i can access the tabs from that device from another device since the original was synced (or i.e. is the a function in Firefox that lets me see all synced tabs from all connected devices)

going to the regular synced tab area there isn't anything from that computer there,

Hi, I lost firefox browser because of I setup new windows so i install again but unfortunately i cant get back my previous bookmarks settings and more. Hello, I have problem with my Firefox browser. It cannot link over to other sites. An example: when I get mail with a link, I cannot link over. A popup says: "The app cann not be opened- -10673. When I use Safari or Google Chrome it works. Please explain for me how to do. Have a good day! Holger

Hello Please explain to me how to transfer tabs from desktop to Android phone because there is no option on my desktop browser settings and no matter how much I sync, the desktop tabs will not be transferred to the phone again. please guide me

I had to reset my computer.

I had Firefox sync on it and in the past all I’ve had to do is login and it restores history bookmarks and setting when I install it on a new or reset device

It’s not doing it this time, any advice?

Is there a maximum number of tabs that can be synced? I have about 800 tabs on my old computer, but when I look at the synced tabs in the sidebar on the new computer, only about half of them are listed. The oldest 400 or so are missing.

And yes, I realize 800 tabs is insane. But that's another discussion. :)

I transitioned over to a new Macbook. After installing Firefox I opted to log in to my "sync account" in order to retrieve all my bookmarks, add-ons, saved passwords etc. that I was using on my previous Macbook. On the old Mac, I synced the Firefox profile data one last time and formatted the device. Now when I log in with the account, no data gets synced. There definitely was an account as when I followed the sign-in process, it didn't ask me to create a new account. It simply asked for my email, followed by my password and the One-Time-Password that was sent to my email.

As a test, I signed out of this profile on the new Mac after not getting any results and tried to sign in with another Firefox profile. It immediately started retrieving that profile's data (I.e add-ons started getting installed). I cancelled that sync to not fill the browser with that data. But logging into the troublesome account again, still no data gets retrieved.

I really need to retrieve that profile with all my data. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Hi, Some files, say PNG files, always download immediately. Other files ask where to be saved. In my settings, I only have about 4-6 entries, but PNG for example is not there. I deleted the handlers file and restarted. Same issue. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I'm using an account which syncs across 2-3 devices. How can I fix this issue?

Reinstalled Firefox on Ubuntu 20 and signed back into my Firefox account and I don't have any of my passwords, bookmarks or extensions, I'm extremely upset - there's very important info I lost!

Hi. I know my firefox account email: [email]@gmail.com and firefox account password: won't type it here, but i know it and have entered it successfully.

After i sign in, with the correct email and password, it states i need to access the verification code and enter it to use my firefox account. the problem is that i just reinstalled windows and the gmail password was autogenerated and stored within my firefox account. so in order for me to access my gmail to retrieve the verification code i need to access the passwords stored on my firefox account.

I have a number of autogenerated passwords related to my college assessments that are time sensitive. I need help with this urgently!

i have re-install new windows and download fresh firefox and sign-in when i sync my account i didn't find any data (passwords , bookmarks , history , etc ... ) i found my firefox account as new

Hello I changed my laptop. I synced everything with my passed laptop. I reconnect today with my new laptop. ... I have no data, no more bookmarks, nothing ! How could it be possible ? Thx
