When I open a new window I want Firefox to open a duplicate of the page I'm on. If I open a new window it always opens my homepage window.

I went through the features and add-ons available with recent (approx. 1 month ago) UPDATE of Firefox. One thing I chose was a gimmick that adds color and graphics to (I believe) the SHELL of all pages. I don't really like it: find it too hard to read my tool bar and other info at top. I want to REMOVE THIS and have STANDARD SHELL. I can find NOTHING within my preferences that will lead me to the (NO idea what it is called) add-on involved. I want to know HOW TO FIND IT and HOW to REMOVE IT. Thanks!!

Description

Whenever I click on a saved URL on my MBP OSX 10.6.4 desktop, Firefox opens two browser windows. I have tried every combination of settings under Firefox ->Preferences ->tabs - nothing stops this behavior

I cannot update Firefox, I've tried disabling firewalls etc. My computer claims that I need admin permission to update Firefox although I am the owner and administrator of this computer. There are updates available and know the admin password for this computer. It started when I installed the Noscript tool (which I have tried disabling with the same results)

I received a notification of a Firefox update. I clicked "restart Firefox" and the following message came -- you're running Firefox 3.5.11and for security reasons we recommend downloading the latest & greatest version. I assumed 3.5.11 is the latest version. Since I'm running it, what am I being asked to download?

This might sound stupid, but once when I was about to quit Firefox, I got the warning prompt if I wanted to close multiple tabs.. As I was going to click save and quit I accidentally pressed the "save these settings". Now I jsut wonder, how do I turn it off, so that Fireox sends the prompt whenever I try to close multiple tabs? I'm running 3.6.6 with OS X Snow Leopard.

whenever i close firefox (osx 10.6.3, firefox 3.6.6), i come back to find the history gone. i've looked for answers and tried all sorts: my prefs all are set to saving history, i'm not set to start in private browsing, i've downloaded a new copy of firefox and replaced the old, and following advice from a forum i went into about.config and checked that general.useragent was not in bold, it wasn't. the problem even persisted when i recently upgraded from osx tiger to snow leopard

the weirdest thing is that using history>show all history, it is completely blank when i start up. but if i type stuff into the url bar, it comes up with history results (not bookmarks, i've checked) that i haven't visited in months, years even, there's history results for maps for a game i sold 2 years ago

My search window no longer works for any of the search engines therein. Please advise how to make this window operational.

July 13th, 2010: My Firefox tool bar has suddenly completely disappeared, except for the back arrows on the left hand side. I've tried stopping and starting Firefox several times, but nothing's changed. All the toolbars are selected in the View menu ... but nothing's visible!

Have updated to 3.6.6. on OSX 10.6.4. Installed as per instructions, but FF does not start - from the application folder or the dock (to where I dragged the FF icon). From looking at the support forum there seems to a number of people experiencing the same problem, but no fixes appear to be posted!

How can I upgrade from 3.6 on an iMac when Firefox refuses to proceed with an installation on the basis that I do not have the necessary user rights (even though I am logged in as an administrator)?

When trying to forward and e-mail or retrieve it from "drafts" more often than not only the heading will appear and the space where the body of the e-mail belongs is empty. If I try repeatedly - going out and then back in to the e-mail - I can eventually get it and successfully send it on. If I send it while the field is blank the person receiving it will just get a blank e-mail except for the address and subject line.

Gmail shifts almost immediately to the calendar. Hitting the back button goes back to the normal mail, and almost immediately shifts again to the calendar. This appears to be limited to Firefox as it does not happen on Opera.

Hi there,

I just updated Firefox and it now bounces in the dock and then stops bouncing and the little dot below disappears. I've tried restarting the machine and downloading Firefox again. There's no error message given. Does anyone have any ideas ?
