Currently using Firefox US English version 69.0.2 in Windows 10. but this problem began with FF 67.0 and later versions.
Using the built in US English spell-check while editing text pages. When the page is refreshed, the red spell-check underline disappears. To regain the underlining, either I must clear the Firefox cache, or save the page, close and re-open. Reloading the page also works occasionally but not alaways.
Occasionally, when I use the three installed dictionary add-ons of French, Spanish, or UK English, they all have the same issue.

Hello community! I need your help. We have multiple clients connecting thru a corporate VPN and they are having issues with Firefox: When they try to access a website they are experiencing a timeout with “Performing a TLS Handshake to…”. This only happens on the initial launch of Firefox. A refresh (F5) or reload immediately opens the website after the timeout. As long as the browser stays open, they do not have anymore issues accessing websites. If the browser is closed and re-opened, the issue reappears for the first website requested. This happens for every user connected via VPN. No issues whatsoever when they are directly connected to the network (office). After some troubleshooting, I noticed that the issue appeared from version 67.0. All previous versions do not have the TLS Handshake issue. We are currently using Version 69.0.1. Redoing profiles did not resolve the issue. VPN Users that are having the issue are on Windows 10 while Windows 7 users do not the problem. Also of note, if the client opens Firefox and leaves it idling for 40 sec. (or more) before requesting a https website, they do not get a TLS Handshake timeout. No issues in IE11, Edge or Chrome while connected thru VPN.
Ideas?

I have three monitors configured to display different windows. Firefox runs on display 3 but hen I click on a toolbar, the pull-down menu shows up in my default display (display 2). Clicking on it again moves the window to the correct display.
I attached a picture of the browser showing click on "Nuance" from display 3 and of the resulting pull-down window that appears on display 2.

So I installed Nightly yesterday. It ran great. Today, I went to quit and restart with the quit button from the menu. When I tried to reopen Firefox, it kept instantly crashing without a crash reporter window showing up. And I can't reinstall it because the installer appears to have disappeared from my computer and no matter what i click, on the download pages it gives me a download for an old version of Firefox that's not even Nightly. Now I understand this is Nightly and it's a bit less stable but I was definetively not expecting this. I don't know where I went wrong with this and how this happened, but help would be appreciated.

The latest update happened while I had firefox open. It reopened and had dumped all my tabs - they were not showing up in recent tabs. Tried to open a new tab and firefox went black. I uninstalled/reinstalled a couple of times which during the last time i picked everything out of appdata. I thought it was fixed, It came up let me sign in and add a couple of extensions appearing to work. When I clicked on a webpage shortcut I had saved to my computer - firefox was my default and would love it to be again - it went black. No right click option just a black window with a top bar that said firefox and nothing else. Is there anything else I can do on my end to potentially fix this ?

Within the past two days when I access a Facebook page, all I now see are a series of horizontal lines--all the postings that I used to see are gone and have been replaced by a series of horizontal lines. What has changed over the past two days? How can I get someone from who has the technical competence to help me figure out if the problem is on my end or on Facebook's end? I currently am using Firefox. Thanks, Bob

Hello, I have some memory problem with Firefox. Firefox randomly runs out of memory. Firefox will close and a message will be written below. Firefox runs on Linux. Firefox is version 52 ESR, it is because of the use of java applet. The computer and system configuration have not changed for at least a year. Don't know what the problem might be?

Hi, There.
Two troubles:
1. For no apparent reason, half the icons on my Firefox toolbar have vanished. Running a mouse over the blank areas reveals only outlines of the former icons, plus pop-up labels.
Image link: https://i.imgur.com/o9OY8gE.png
2. The browser is completely unresponsive. Bookmarks don't work, and neither do the "ghosts" of vanished icons.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the browser (v60.9.0 ESR) AND restoring a recently saved profile, but these issues persist. How to proceed?
Kind thanks for your help.

EDIT: Problem solved! I disabled all of my extensions, then re-enabled them again. One by one, their icons reappeared on the toolbar, and now the browser is completely functional again. Thanks for reading this far!

Occasionally, all of the UI at the top of the Firefox window is replaced by blank white space when the window is maximized. (See screenshot 1.) When the window is restored (non-maximized), it looks normal. Other applications' windows look normal.
This has happened occasionally over the last few months (at least before Ff 69 and Win 10 1903). I have no idea what triggers it.
When this happens, restarting Windows is the only way to restore normal operation. The problem persists even if I: restore & maximize, minimize & maximize, restart Ff, restart Ff in safe mode, update & restart Ff, or make a fresh profile (See screenshot 2.).
Sometimes, the blank area also includes a clipping of the UI as it appeared before maximizing. (See screenshot 2.)
Clicking in the white area interacts with the desktop, not Firefox. I can open folders, drag icons, etc.
I can't find any questions or bugs about this particular behavior. Any help is appreciated.

Cursor freezes a few minutes after starting Firefox. If I use another browser the problem doesn't appear. I'm running Firefox Quantum 69.0.3 on a new 2017 iMac Pro on which I've just upgraded from Mojave to to Mac OS 10.15 Catalina (not beta, the first "official" Catalina release). I'm running into a problem with Firefox that I've not encountered in many years of use, namely that after about 5 or 6 hours of uptime, any open Firefox tab that I refresh or any new one I create gets stuck showing the "TLS handshake" note in the lower left and then times out with a message that the server being contacted is not responding. Restarting Firefox does not fix the problem but rebooting the Mac does, in that Firefox reaches any site once again. But then after another 5-6 hours the problem crops up once more. All other software continues to run just fine during these TLS handshake problems, such as Outlook, Mail, Sonos, etc. I did not encounter this problem when running Firefox on this machine with Mojave. Because I'd rather not have to reboot every several hours I'm wondering if anyone has run into this and/or can suggest a fix for this. Is there a special setting to change or update in Catalina (the only variable I'm aware of that's changed since my upgrade) or in Firefox to work with Catalina's many new settings? Thank you.
