Before the update i could click on the adressbar, type or copy the URL and thats it.
However now when i click in the URLbar, i get the full list of URL's like i clicked on the pull down menu to get the recent/saved URLS from there.
I just want to be able to click on the URLbar without showing all those URL's i dont want, only when i want to see this whole list, i want to click on the pull down arrow. That is gone now. It is always showing the full list.

Restarting Firefox in safe mode made no difference. The file name and location are valid but the file is not created, only a shortcut. Restarting the computer made no difference either.

In particular, credentials for DISCUS, which is very popular "comment" software used by many websites, is unable to maintain the users credentials after a reload...requiring the user to log back in each time. Except that all dropdowns are affected, including the ones that would let me open the settings menu and try the suggestions that worked for other people. These are pull down menus, address bar, settings menu, spellcheck, and any other pop-up/pull-down menus.
