Prior to latest updates Firefox loaded the two websites without issues. Now Colonial First State website will not display login page and reads that I must update my browser. The Commonwealth Bank site allows me to login but will not open any account information. The Commonwealth bank helpdesk told me to use Google Chrome. I did so and it works fine with both websites.

On my Scoreboard game starting times used to be shown as PDT or PST. Now it shows GMT. I know that Pacific time is 3 hours earlier than my area's Eastern time. How much difference is there in GMT and Eastern time and why the change?

When I zoom it changes the size of the page on displayed on the screen and it also changes the font-size of the text being displayed.

Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong.

Incidentally I need both the features... i.e. I want to be able change the size of the page as it is being displayed and I also want to be able to change the size of the content on the page - but I would like separate selection boxed / controls for each.

Recently I have noticed that when I go to access my outlook email accounts the password is already filled in by something much longer than my password (I only see the dots, as expected). I want those erased, but don't know how to 'remove' it. I can manually erase them and input my password and it works fine. How do I stop those 'automatic' passwords?

I think the above sentence about describes it all. Essentially, FF flickers on and off when I scroll. I have tried safe start mode with addons disabled, reset and I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have a Windows 7 OS and a new hard drive that I just installed. This problem began with the new hard drive.

I have an addon called adblock plus, when it's enabled, firefox takes 7 secs to start on my pc. When it's disabled, firefox only takes 3 secs to start. I still want to use this addon without sacrifising startup speed in my pc. So I was wondering if there's a method that would allow me to enable the addon after firefox has started. For example, after firefox starts in 3 secs, it would enable itself in the background after 5 secs.

I am using Asus Vivobook Win 8, I can go to the previous webpage by swiping left with 3 fingers. I can do the same with Chrome but am wondering why this is not possible in firefox. Thanks!

I've created a website where I'm using jQuery to clone and manipulate SVG content to create multiple different images within the page (I'm also making use of Keith Wood's SVG libraries to help make jQuery work with SVG).

This seems to be working fine initially. However, when a user clicks the graphic I then clone the clicked graphic and place that in another part of the page. At this point part of SVG content is lost. The SVG contains a number of vectors and a bitmap (for a drop-shadow). The vectors all disappear but the bitmap remains.

I've checked it out in the dev tool and the SVG content is being cloned (it seems) and can be inspected and Firefox seems to think it's in the correct part of the page etc. Yet it's not visible.

In terms of the jQuery involved it's just this:

$('#'+hash).clone().attr('id',).prependTo(targetElement);

It works fine in Chrome, Safari and Opera but I'm looking at FF 24.0 on Mac and FF 23 on Win7 and both are doing the same thing. I'm getting no errors in the console either! :-S

I checked for plugins updates in Firefox 24 and it showed I needed to update Java and VLC media player even though I knew I had the latest versions. I ran FF's update links for both and rebooted but still was told the two needed updating after a new scan. I uninstalled both programs then re-installed the latest versions. FF still says that I have VLC v2.06 and I'm "vulnerable" but the VLC software shows I have v2.08 which is the latest. Java is properly recognized now and no longer marked as needing update. How can I get FF to recognize that I have the latest version of VLC? Thank you.

After I sign out of hotmail and try to sign in with a different username, Firefox automatically logs me in to the original hotmail. I have "remember pass words" unchecked so it should not know my password. How do I fix this? With gmail and facebook, it brings up the log in page ok, but does not with hotmail.

When I log out of hotmail to sign in with a different username, Firefox automatically signs me in to the original account so I cannot view other hotmail accounts. I have "remember password" unchecked, so it should not be able to do this. When I sign out of FB or gmail, Firefox takes me to the sign in page, but not so with hotmail. How do I fix this? Other browsers will take me to the sign in page when logged out, so not a hotmail issue.

I have setup 2 profiles, 1 for work and 1 for private at home and I have this issue when clicking on links outside firefox as for example apps like MS outlook and shortcuts and such firefox profile manager pops up and ask me to chose a profile to show the link in, and I cannot chose the already running profile but must then chose the work profile if Im currently using "private".

So my question is how do I force FF from stop asking which profile to open an external link in and set the default profile?

My profiles.ini looks like this currently:

I have five pdf files open in my browser each being size of ~ 1 MB => 5 MB. (Looked up by downloading them) Yet, pdf.js uses combined 457 MB of RAM (162 + 132 + 70 + 56 + 23 MB) to display these documents. Needless to say, a 100 MB or so pdf opened with pdf.js stalls the whole browser completely. I find the massive 100 times the pdf size use of memory weird. Leak somewhere or what?
