When I open Firefox to my home page any additional tabs that I open keep crashing. The page tells me that it has crashed and there is a restore tab button there but that doesn't work and the crash message just comes back.

I use Bomgar / Beyond Trust for remote support for my Linux system. The bomgar file that I download is a .desktop file. Ever since Firefox version 119, this file no longer downloads correctly. Instead of getting a .desktop file, I now get a .desktop.download file and the file will not run. This appears to be an issue with Firefox because the file downloads and runs correctly if I use Chrome. It also worked just fine in Firefox before version 119. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated

Today I have discovered that I am unable to access 2 websites on which I have an account - one is a hotel booking site of which I am a member, the other is a cosmetic company. I have accounts with both and CAN NOT even get to the "members sign in page" what is going on? BTW I have tried to read all the info posted on Mozilla and it doesn't make any sense to me at all as I am NOT... NOT... and IT technician, merely an end user.

Macbook Air, Sonoma 14.1.2, second monitor connected via hdmi. This oval purple icon showing a person in front of a screen suddenly appeared in and behind upper left hand corner of window, and is now in all my windows. (see attached image)

New computer, new install, when trying to log in to my account to set up sync/migrate, Firefox claims the password is incorrect ... the same password I just used on this (old) computer to log in and ask this question!

I've had issues with this before, when I synced up my phone. Took several attempts to log it in.

Also, tried changing password, but for some reason it won't accept a new one? (That's different issue. Would prefer to log in with current password. at least)

bold text I have tried all options that are available. I cannot find my BOOKMARKS. This happened two days ago and I have tried, I have the bookmarks on a HTML file bit it says the file is empty.

For example, firefox is open in the background and when I click on a url from discord, it opens the link in firefox but does not bring the page to me, I need to minimize the discord.

Recently, when first logging into Facebook, the entries in my feed will just sit there and refresh for a while before finally settling in and stopping. Then when I start scrolling, I can only go so far and it starts doing it again. Rather peculiar action. Something to do with auto refresh? I don't encounter the issue when using Safari or Opera. Appreciate anything on this issue.

I have accessed (Google) Youtube - History, over Firefox/DuckDuckGo for a number of years now without difficulty. Recently Google introduced a Two-step security check and, when selected, a question was sent to the handset (which I use as a tether for two laptops) which always quickly appeared and quickly responded to my finger's touch. In the last couple of weeks the question is still asked but nothing comes through to the handset, or the standby handset. For a test I then went through Google Chrome and that opens the Youtube History without any questions etc. It seems to hint that Google are using the Two-step etc to keep out access over other Browsers. I am based in the UK. All suggestions will be welcome. Kind regards, Tim Simpson

Mod - please delete. I couldn't find a way to delete my question so I edited it. I had an issue but I think it's due to my Firefox being Enterprise managed. I tested the same thing on my personal laptop with Firefox and no issue.

Greetings. I recently upgraded to Windows 11 and started using Firefox again. In order to be more secure and private I am reviewing all of my settings everywhere. I am concerned that the security certificates that are currently in my Firefox are safe, secure and current. I know the internet is worldwide and bad actors can from any country but when I see them from certain countries that does concern me. Is there a way to verify the certificates are good? Is there an harm in deleting certificates? Is there any suggestions of what countries, websites to stay away from concerning certificates? If the validity is expired should I delete it? I do not like to make assumptions. I try to make informed decisions. Thank you, bkh8611@gmail.com

I noticed that a couple of times when I click on an external link on a mail or a bookmarked site as icon on my mac, Firefox closes all the tabs and open that link in a new window, so I lose all the tabs and address... Sometime I have more than 30 tabs open and i't difficult to reopen all from history. What happen? Why? I can't see also the "restore last session" command into History menu. Can be fix it? Thank you.

Is there a way to set the default view and sorting for file upload folder?

The default for me is, detailed view and sorted by date.

I wanted to change it to large icon and sort by name, so it's easier to upload images. but I have to change the setting for every individual folder, is there a way to just set it as default?

I need to run speech recognition in Firefox (OS solutions are not suitable in my case), but I can't get it to work. I've tried following these instructions in Nightly, Dev and regular version, but they all end with a network error. I also asked my friends to check and they had the same thing happen. Do I need to follow the steps to run offline or is the problem much deeper?

When FF loaded for first time after update had message about being able to fill in PDF documents. Even said give it a try on a option block. Then it displayed a form with blanks to enter name etc. However I wasn't able to enter name or data in the fields they sent me for trying it out. I could do other things with PDF FF displayed, draw, add text box, but not enter data on the form they sent to try it out. Wish I had saved the PDF they sent to show the new feature.
