When I open a website, the message "Firefox is already running" comes up every time. Task manager says nothing is currently running. I have to click "close Firefox every time I go to a website. Can you help? Thanks Alan Murray

I was busy logging in to Firefox (today's update) using my account and wished to store my login info, but the link upon login was a long useless address specific to the post-login screen and related to adding more devices. I opened a new tab but this was, apparently, a sticky login and the new tab was logged in as well. I logged out of that tab with the obvious (hindsight) effect of interrupting the previous tab/s.

Long story short, the immediate effect was the message in the subject line of this mail. Firefox locked my account and I need it unlocked.

The 100 release of Firefox turned half of my desktop web site shortcut icons to PDF icons. Why? And why only some? I have some URL shortcuts that I have no control over the icon (no change icon selection under properties). How do I get these changed back, other than redoing all the changed ones? Thanks, Wayne

When I type a term in the address bar or in any search engine...nothing. Links don't work from open pages. Typing a URL in the address bar doesn't work unless it's a site I've been to previously. It's very frustrating. Everything works fine in Chrome...and I hate Chrome.

So I updated today as requested and now all the sites I had previously checked to allow pop ups etc on are no longer functioning.

Why dod you not include copying these settings in your update,

What a massive waste of my time

Google Chrome is closed and ive checked task manager to make sure that its not open in the background.

I choose my main account from google chrome and choose to import passwords and bookmarks and it says that it successfully imported it but my passwords and bookmarks are not showing up on mozilla.

How can the size of the icons, buttons, and toolbar bookmark fonts be adjusted to be bigger? They are tiny and I would like to have control over this but it seems like there is no way to do that, only within the pages.

I am using the latest firefox on a mac w/ catalina.

We are facing some issues in the Firefox console tab. Sometimes, this problem stops our application or else we always see this error in our console tab. Only Firefox Browser 100.0.1 (64-bit) and (32-bit) won't respond to HTML <audio> Tag in a webpage. I have 4 computers (tower, laptops and tablet) using Windows 7 or Windows 10 though Firefox won't play <audio> tag sounds on any of them. All computers are also running Chrome (Version 101.0.4951.67 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and Internet Explorer (Ver: 20H2 OS Build 19042.1706) and those browsers play the <audio> Tag just fine. Note: videos from YouTube play video & audio as well as .mp3 files just fine in Firefox. Volume Mixer for Firefox is set to 50%, no mute. All other applications in Volume Mixer are set the same. I also deleted browsing history, cookies, Cash, Forms, Offline website data & search history as well as Site settings. Range to clear 'Today'. And, Firefox still won't respond to the <audio> tag. Also, restarted the computer and uninstalled Firefox and re-installed it, no change. w3schools.com indicates Firefox first supported the <audio> tag in version 3.5. Please tell me how to STOP the annoying Total Ad Blocker advertisements that continually show up on my screen when I am using Firefox. It's COMPLETELY ANNOYING!!!!!! I do not want to purchase this software now or later, but I will stop using Firefox if there isn't a fix for this issue. Yes, I am THAT frustrated. Thanks Steph

I'd like more information about what the message appearing at the top of the settings screen is telling me. The message is "Your browser is being managed by your organization." I am a stand alone personal user and not a part of an organization.

I got mad at a website that wouldn't let me right click menu to save pictures, so I stubbornly saved them via less efficient means, in the process I picked up the Long Screenshot extension and this had an error shortly before or after I had an issue with Lightshot not appearing, other extensions did not appear either when I added them during this time period, but now these all appear with the exception of Lightshot, which gets deleted and reinstalled only to not appear, that of course being the problem, though I will also say that a right click menu not being there is like reaching onto my computer and pulling my finger away, sites that do that should be given the cold shoulder somehow, at least.

Firefox password support automatically interferred with an attempt to set up an account with a provider. How do I get that password and how do I prevent Firefox from automatically adding passwords without my permission?

When playing videos on youtube or any other platform the volume is very low to non-existent. When a new video starts there is a sudden surge, whereafter it rapidly returns to a non-audible level. I have tried checking the volume settings in Windows and Firefox but nothing has helped thusfar. Please help me resolve this issue so I can go back to using my favourite browser again.
