I am hoping that someone on these forums can help me, since it seems Pocket does not have its own help forum. Pocket has (suddenly, it seemed: today as far as I can tell) started appending "?utm_source=pocket_mylist" (for example "https://daringfireball.net/?utm_source=pocket_mylist") to the end of every single link I open from my list now (I find this absolutely maddening), or in the case of YouTube links, in the middle of the URL (for example "https://www.youtube.com/watch?utm_source=pocket_mylist&v=S_b0ndn5oIg"), and has stopped opening links in new tabs (again, this was fine until yesterday), meaning that if I was quite far down my article list, click a link but forget I now have to Ctrl+Click or Right-Click and then go back to the Pocket list, I have to scroll for a long time to get back to where I was.

This is, obviously, another one of those brain-dead examples of a product being "improved", whereby they made it materially worse. Unfortunately I do use Pocket a lot, so my question is if there is any way (something in about:config, or perhaps some add-on) to, in short, get it to cut this crap out (also known as "work")?

Hey, guys. I got a new laptop as a christmas present, and have been trying to synch bookmarks between my old craptop and it. Surprise surprise, the craptop is erroring when I try to synch. I have the error log here, but, as I am new to the site, don't know how to add it to my post, other than by copy/pasting the contents, and it is too long to do that. So... might need to let me know how to do that. Sorry.

Several weeks ago (not sure when it really started) I noticed that Gmail would not load. Going to the Gmail page I get the following: Temporary Error We’re sorry, but your account is temporarily unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and suggest trying again in a few minutes.You can view the G Suite Status Dashboard for the current status of the service. As I said, this "temporary" error seems to be permanent. This happens in FF and Chrome (I rarely use chrome). I have cleared ALL data. I have refreshed FF. MS Edge accesses Gmail. So, I think it seems like a Mozilla problem, some how.

I am running into un-bypassable SSL errors with youtube.com. There is no "I understand the risks" option. The reason for the errors is lack of a real time clock on my system. I want to troubleshoot the lack of a bypass.

This page claims Youtube uses HSTS, whatever that is, which is not bypassable. That is not true because Qupzilla bypasses all SSL errors fine with a single setting "Ignore all SSL warnings". Chromium has the startup switch --ignore-certificate-errors which does the same thing.

I have already tried the "skip cert errors" plugin with no luck. How may I, the user, direct this open source software to do what I ask of it?

Lately I often get message that I am unable to reach Mozilla's servers. I live in Russia and my IP is Russian too. I had to reinstall Firefox recently and my sync was incomplete (no logins, no history, no bookmarks) even though I had that checked in before. Could it be external problem because of recent Telegram blockings in Russia? Or is it only me?

Every time I try to visit any site via firefox I'm getting "This connection is untrusted" error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer

Yes my date and time settings are correct. I tried deleting the cert8.db file like the help page said and it's still doing it. I am technologically challenged so I would really appreciate it if someone would explain the solution to me in terms a rock could understand. Please and thanks.

Firefox no longer seems to be syncing my bookmarks among devices. In particular, the bookmarks I add on my work iMac do not sync to my android phone or my home macbook pro. I have done the following things to attempt to get things working:

1. Turned off firefox sync on all devices and then back on. 2. Deleted my firefox sync account and recreated it. 3. Deleted and reinstalled firefox on both my android phone and my macbook pro

I have also gone to about:sync-log and see that I seem to have lots of sync errors. I've attached a screenshot of the sync-log screen. I can't seem to attach the txt file of the latest error log, so I'm attaching two screen shots of it as well.

If anyone can help me out, I'd certainly appreciate it!

Wouldn't run after extraction and running Firefox binary. Twice. Downloaded. Extracted. Wouldn't run. Broken. From the directory of the extracted binary, tried to run the firefox binary from a terminal. Native Mozilla Iceweasel runs instead. I have had problems with Firefox Sync for a while.

I often reinstall operating systems I use. After each reinstall, I try to sync to my account. I get denied. The email gets returned.

I have bypassed this problem a number of times. I am not sure about the exact solution, but either waiting for 24 hours since last attempt to login or fiddling with Firefox Sync settings through my phone which is already logged in seemed to have helped.

Fiddling with phone settings does not work anymore. It may have never worked. I have not waited 24 hours since last attempt to login as well, so that could be the fix I am looking for. However, the main problem I have, is that I cannot bypass it in any other way. I am able to login to Firefox Screenshots for example with my account, but I cannot sign in to my Firefox account itself. It is not a good user experience.

I understand that this might be used for my own sake, to protect my account from potential intruders...however, I am very dissatisfied with not being able to sign it to my account for over couple of days because of such restrictions.

I do not think anyone can do anything about this, it will probably require redesigning existing safety measures just to deal with this obscure problem. I will wait for 24 hours and will update this post after I get the result. Maybe I can help someone else who is on the same boat as I am. I could not see similar problem on the internet other than a few, of which did not portray the problem in a way that I found relatable.

But maybe there is another way unbeknownst to me.

Hi, I upgrade Firefox to 89.0.2 from the previous version. The installer "locked-up" during the installation process. I am using Win 7 on a Dell Inspiron 64-bit laptop (2017) with plenty of memory. Never had problems before. The installer locks and I have to stop it via Windows Task Manager (setup.exe *32). I have reloaded the "Firefox Setup 89.0.2.exe" file several times, reloaded the previous version... no avail. It locks up. I tried to start the Firefox even if not fully installed, using Firefox.exe It stated that it did not close properly and to "refresh", which I did, the program browser started after saying "success", but then stopped responding (screen locked-up) while showing me the usual Firefox screen (i.e. with all my previous opened tabs, bookmarks...) After having deleted the program manually from its location, reloading it several times - the same issues took place. Can someone help, me? Thank you, Ciao, L

After upgrading to 33.03, I get an error message whenever I try to quit or restart saying "Cancel All Downloads? If you quit now, 72 downloads will be canceled. Are you sure you want to quit?" with buttons saying "Don't Quit" and "Cancel 72 Downloads"

I absolutely do NOT want to cancel ANY downloads, but I seem to be stuck. There is some urgency because my area in Maryland has frequent power failures, and the least short-term power fluctuation will cause my iMac to restart, causing me to lose hours of choosing and downloading graphics files. What can I do?
