None of my installed Add-Ons will open. This occurred after running in "Refresh Mode" to correct a different problem.

The prior problem involved not opening bookmarks in a new tab even though the config:about entry was set correctly.

Is it possible there is a config:about entry that prevents any add-on from running?

AdBlock has not made any updates for Firefox for eleven months. Do they just not care, or has Mozilla rejected them? The internet is terrible enough as it loves to scam all users on all sites.

is there anyway to move things from the more tools section of the three lines/application menu to the tool bar, or to quickly access the more tools section. i use the eye dropper all the time and it feels like there's a faster way to do it i cant seem to find.

Hi. I've used Firefox as my main web browser on desktop computers for over a year now, and it's so far been the best web browser I've used.... except for one issue when it comes to major updates to the app.

I have Firefox set to open up on the tab/site I was using before I end a session and close the app. Whenever there is a new major version release, the update gets installed the next time the browser is launched before showing the browser window. But, when the window opens back up, I'm not sent back to the site/tab I was previously using. A new tab automatically opens up to a Mozilla page saying that Firefox has updated, along with a large promotion for another Mozilla service.

I then need to manually close this new tab, and find the tab I was previously using during the last session before the auto-update. This is mildly irritating since it takes some control away over how I want Firefox to start up, and the new update tabs seem to just be used as a way to promote other Mozilla products seeing how the actual "Firefox has updated" text is very small.

Is there a way to turn off these automatic new tabs after every major auto-update? Or if there isn't, could an option to change the way Firefox notifies about updates be added in a future version, such as using the OS' notification option instead of opening a new tab?

Currently running the latest version of Firefox on an iMac, with Mac OS Sonoma.

My job requires for Boolean and New String configurations inside of the about:config section of Firefox. I've been doing this manually by copying and pasting the lines, but I would like to automate this process via a .bat file if possible. I've created a .bat file for mapping network drives before but I've never created one for running a script in a browser before so I'm a noob.

I need the .bat file to convert boolean values to false and add strings. If possible, I would also like for this batch file to change the homepage to a page of my choosing. Any and all help would be appreciated, Thank You!

How do I paste in the game forge of empires thread windows with my mouse and without clipboard keyboard options in firefox, it will only allow me to use clipboard control V for keyboard not my mouse, using my mouse to select all, copy, it's fine, cannot use paste with mouse, only in browser search bar, i do a lot of pasteing or i would not ask, it works with a diff browser, Firefox is the best for gameing,

Lately, I'm experiencing less that optimal behavior and performance, so I'm building a fresh profile hoping to clean things up.

Like many of us, over the years I've collected and documented a number of tweaks. Before I re-implement them, I was hoping to publish them here to get opinions about their current validity/necessity, effectiveness, safety, detrimental affects, etc.

This stopped working some time ago and I am finally getting around to asking why.

I do have toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets set to true, and other items in userChrome.css are working.

I am using 121.0 at home and 115.0 ESR at work and see the same (i.e. no "Close Tab"), in both cases on Debian testing. I do see this menu item when using the keyboard to open the File menu.

Any idea why this no longer works?

I'm using Firefox for Windows and usually have a few set pages that appear every time I open a new window. Every now and again, I have to add, remove, or change one of these pages. The issue is that I have to see something like this whenever I want to change anything.

Naturally, whenever I open a new window in Firefox, this is automatically interpreted to open multiple pages. However, this way of displaying them is still inconvenient. I want to know if we can get something more like this.

Is there a way to edit the Settings UI to see a multi-line list with the ability to add, remove, or change these links individually? Thank you.

I use Firefox on my Win11 and Win10 PCs. The Win11 version of Firefox has a button to restore the recent closed button, but the Win10 version doesn't. I wonder why?

When i try to open youtube.com for example i used to only type in you or even you y for firefox to finish the whole URL for me, but sometime last month it dissapeared and never figuered out why after ALOT of trouble shooting to the point where I felt the need to create a new firefox account. Can you fix this for me? or just make everything deafult?

Last Pass stopped working after last firefox update darkened Last Pass icon does not respond. in past clicking the icon would open Last Pass login page. Please help.

I recall turning off this garbage at some point. Now it's hardwired without a way to turn it off in Search settings!!

Is there anything I can do to turn it off?

Today I installed a new extension (Bitwarden) and want to add the icon to the toolbar. I can't find it anywhere. The add-on shows up in the add-on manager but there's nothing there to help me add the icon. The little puzzle piece in the upper right of the browser -- click on that and Bitwarden isn't listed.

How do I fix this? In Chrome there's a simple toggle switch in the extension manager to add the icon to the toolbar. Frankly, if I can't get this Bitwarden icon to display I can't use Firefox at all. Thanks.

When I use the url calculator, the number will display as expected, e.g. if I type 900-756.07 Firefox displays 143.93 in the url. However, when I try to copy that number, the length of the numbers decimal places changes substantially, e.g. 143.93 turns in 143.92999999999995.

Is there a way to prevent it changing the result?
