The built-in keyboard shortcut CMD+SHIFT+P stopped working for New Private Window several versions ago, and this bug continues to go unaddressed. Does anyone know when this will be fixed?
All other built-in keyboard shortcuts work fine.
Also, custom keyboard shortcuts created in System Preferences don't work for new container tabs. I have CTRL+OPT+S assigned to File > New Container Tab > Shopping, but it doesn't work.
In both these cases, I know the shortcut IS properly assigned because it shows up in the menu, next to the name of the command.

Firefox 69.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10.
Web applications (such as Hangouts) that have an option to select a different sound output do not work. All that is available is "System Default Speaker Device". This means I cannot use my headset for instance, and also means that other web pages cannot route sound however I want it.
Is this a Firefox bug or are there some hidden options to use sound devices?

Left-clicking in the blank area of the menu bar engages window dragging behavior and I need this to stop. This behavior is already defined on my desktop by using a modifier key (ALT) and the default Firefox behavior circumvents this preference.
The recommended solution to alter my GTK-3 preferences via stylesheets does not work. The issue appears to be that XUL ignores the GTK window-dragging settings in preference to its own. I can verify correct behavior in other GTK-3 applications.
My current solution is editing the libxul.so library and modifying the -moz-window-dragging elements to prevent this behavior but this apparently disables HTML inspection. I have tried to follow guides related to custom XUL stylesheets but have not found a viable solution.
What is the correct way to disable this behavior?

I am in love with Mozilla firefox as a browsing instrument but I have noticed something which I hereby see assistance on how to handle. When using other browser such Microsoft edge, chrome and internet explorer, when there's a popup window, it is scrollable but in Mozilla I found out that it is not scrollable, and as a result, I can’t preview what I want to print or decide on it. When I entered about:config on the address bar and accepted a warning message then I searched for; dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars to see if I can change its value to true but unfortunately my Mozilla doesn’t have; dom.disable_window_open_feature.scrollbars What my Mozilla has are: dom.disable_window_open_feature.close;false dom.disable_window_open_feature.location;true dom.disable_window_open_feature.menubar;false dom.disable_window_open_feature.minimizable;false dom.disable_window_open_feature.personalbar;false dom.disable_window_open_feature.resizable;true dom.disable_window_open_feature.status;true dom.disable_window_open_feature.titlebar;false dom.disable_window_open_feature.toolbar;false So please, let me see if anybody know what the problem is and preferably provide me with solution

Hi, using any version, is there a way to add a toolbar to the left side of the Firefox browser window? As I add extensions and use multiple browser windows on a single monitor, the addressbar shrinks and shrinks. When browsing e.g. secure sites, it gets even worse, because about half of the URL location is taken by what the secure websites specifically show there.
In the past it was possible to drag a toolbar to another position, either left or right or bottom (if I'm not mistaken) If I could just have a single extra location to relocate my toolbar, then I could keep the top bar free and large enough to accomodate what's needed. (example from 2011 here: https://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-add-a-simple-vertical-toolbar-in-firefox/

I created and installed a desktop java application; let's say that it's called xyzapp.exe. I also associated it in the OS with the custom file extension .xyzapp. I configure Firefox to always open (rather than download) .xyzapp files with my xyzapp application. This worked fine until about three months ago. Now .xyzapp files always download rather than open. If I tell Firefox to open .xyzapp files with Notepad, they open in Notepad. Is the latest version of Firefox unable to launch privately-developed apps. Or perhaps there is some other Firefox option that I need to set. Because my app users are complaining, I would love to solve this problem.

I am having trouble using Gmail. It's sluggish and its cursor focus behavior is enervating. I click a field and start typing, then Gmail, with its (or my computer's, or browser's) slowness takes a second or two to apply focus to its desired field, so it starts inputting my typing in the wrong field or worse, interpreting my inputs as actions (archiving, deleting, starring, muting conversations, opening chats, opening Google Tasks sidebar, deleting open draft, etc., really freaking messy). Example: I select a conversation, click the label button, click the label menu's text input field and start typing, then focus is removed from the field (and letters start activating those unwanted actions) and then finally Gmail apply focus to that same field, as if it' only now ready to accept input in it, even if I clicked it before.
How can I prevent sites (or at least Gmail, specifically) from controlling/changing cursor focus? Is there an about:config key or an add-on for this, please?
BTW, I don't mind Gmail and/or Firefox being a bit slow, I recognize I contribute to it by have a few add-ons installed and running (though not so many). What I don't want is Gmail choosing for me where my typing input is going.

Upgraded to 70 and the top sites page and icons are now too wide forcing a scroller on the bottom of the page instead of doing a wrap. Wrap worked great - search bar was visible in the window, and icons were probably 5 across with 3 rows.
Now they are 8 across and fixed, with the search bar area so wide it's cut off on the right.
I have my page already shrunk to 80% and I don't want to go smaller, but I also don't want to have to expand the window size each time either.
I tile windows on my monitor. This is a problem now. Any reason we can't go back to the automatic wrap and sizing?
I'm on mac using firefox 70.0.1
Anyone know a workaround? Thanks!
