Those windows with important tabs (each time) could not be access through "Recently Closed Windows" If I have to restart my mac, I lose all my tabs
This is a major issue for me as this is an important feature that absolutely need to work...

Before the update i could click on the adressbar, type or copy the URL and thats it.
However now when i click in the URLbar, i get the full list of URL's like i clicked on the pull down menu to get the recent/saved URLS from there.
I just want to be able to click on the URLbar without showing all those URL's i dont want, only when i want to see this whole list, i want to click on the pull down arrow. That is gone now. It is always showing the full list.

As of late I have noticed if I drag and drop any shortcuts it always does so minus 1 shortut. If I drag 10, only 9 open in tabs as an example. Does not matter if 2 or 30 are tried.
Win 7 Pro system. My FF is up to date and current.
Has anyone else seen this or able to reproduce it?

The solution given worked fine... until I just upgraded from 68.0.2 to 69.0.3 (and now it no longer works).
When I try to export or backup bookmarks in Firefox a shortcut is created but no file is created why?

Recently updated my 2012 MacBook Pro to macOS 10.15. After Firefox has been open for a while, it stops loading webpages. The title of the page loads, the browser window goes white and never displays anything; the page attempts to load continuously and navigation buttons don't respond. Other than that, Firefox operates and responds as though nothing's wrong. Meanwhile all other browsers can navigate the web just fine. Quitting Firefox (from the menu bar) causes the windows to close but an entry remains in "Force Quit" for an extended period. It can be forced closed from here, but doing so causes further attempts to open Firefox to have no windows appear; the only way to reopen Firefox appears to be to restart the whole computer. If allowed to close the rest of the way on its own- which can take up to 10 minutes- the crash dialog appears and Firefox can be restarted.
This has continued to happen despite repairing the drive, refreshing Firefox, removing and reinstalling Firefox, disabling hardware acceleration, running in safe mode, etc. There are no extensions installed and I have not synced my Firefox account.
I'm installing a new computer. My Firefox password works on old computer but rejects on new one. Cant resent coz of risk of lost data. Any alternative fixes

I refreshed FF 70 because of slow performance and it didn't change anything. I had two profiles (one was Dev profile?) that I deleted. Want to stop Automatic Install to see if that speed things up. When I start FF and go to options I always see the Win10 Blue circle indicating a check for updates. Tried to change it in "about:config" from TRUE to FALSE but it always changes back. FF is slow, slow,slow. Please help. Thank you...Tom

Firefox works on 3 user accounts, on the 4th on launch a dialog box opens and asks for the Administrator to sign in to approve the installation of a helper. The helper is not named. If you close the box, Firefox locks up. The Administrator signing in closed the box, but Firefox locks up, force quit and the box comes back. Tips, hints or advice welcome.

When you move your mouse cursor on the tab area to select a tab, it happens quite often that the Mac menu bar opens automatically and covers the tab area, thus preventing you from opening the tab (see the screenshot).
This is a rather inconvenient issue with Firefox for Mac.
For example, in Chrome for Mac, there is a vertical gap on top of the tabs to avoid this effect - see the screenshot. Or in Safari, tabs are located below the address bar.
Is there any solution to the issue?
