After Firefox updates itself, the restarted browser session is unresponsive to mouse clicks - can't follow links, can't respond to UI dialog boxes, the browser is unusable for practical purposes. It's fixed after another manual restart. This unfortunately breaks all the streamlining Firefox has done to restore the session after an update, because none of that stuff works the same after a manual quit and restart. This is happening on MacOS, and it happens across multiple computers.

I am afraid to update to Firefox 124 for fear of losing the existing order of 100s of open tabs if the default setting of ordering tabs by "Recently Opened" kicks in before I have a chance to change the setting to "Tab Order". Can anyone help me? I'd like to upgrade to 124 if I can do so safely!

At one time, I was able to swipe left on my trackpad and go back to the previous page on firefox. I can't seem to find where to set that preference. I'm running MacOS.

How can I get access to my own site again? I have been able to access joycefitch.com for years but today I can no longer access it from Firefox.

All of a sudden the map function won't work with firefox on www.realestate.com

Hi there. I love Firefox, but I have an issue at the moment where I have one copy set up on my Mac, and it has two profiles. However, I'm running into regular problems where they're both open and they can't quit, or they crash, or they want updates, the other one, and then it has to be restarted and can't open web pages for stuff like that.

A little bit more about my setup. I have two admin accounts on my Mac and an applications folder with Firefox in it. Then each of my Mac accounts has a version of Firefox with a different profile.

I'm about to do a clean install of macOS with the two admin accounts. I want to install Firefox correctly this time. How do I have two entirely separate copies of Firefox running on my Mac in the two admin accounts? I just don't want their threads to be mixed or them to be updating each other or anything like that.

Absolutely love Firefox, but this has been quite a big issue for me and I'd love some advice here. Thank you.

Additional note, I followed the link below the first time I setup to create two profiles, but that didn't quite do what I wanted.

Why aren't pull-down menus, behaving consistently, on Firefox on an M1-Max Mac on macOS Sonoma ?

The pulldown-menus don't persist, long-enough to click-upon a selection .

So on my macbook when I enable fullscreen the anmation is super weird. first it stretches the video to the top and then just expands to the whole screen, when I go out of fullscreen is stretches to the bottom and then goes out off fullscreen. for example on safari it just expands the video until it takes up the whole screen. I have gone in about:config and disabled the fullscreen animation but that did nothing.

I have recently refreshed Firefox on my laptop running MacOS. Previously I had changed the full-screen-transition in about:config to be zero, but since refreshing changing the setting hasn't disabled the transition. My config is this currently: full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter 0 0 full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave 0 0 full-screen-api.transition.timeout 0 Despite everything being like before the transition persists... I'm currently on the latest version of Firefox (125.0.3)

After years of accessing www.youtube.com with Firefox with no problem, the website is no longer accessible as of yesterday. When I point my browser to that URL, I get a screen with greyed out video previews, greyed out titles, greyed out account access and a search window that does not do anything. I can access YouTube just fine with Safari. I've cleared my cache. Please advise.

Dear Friends at Firefox,

There is only one reason that i'm using Firefox less and less ; because of the download files options. When i choose the option to download to a particular location, inspite of that, most files get down loaded to the firefox download folder and i always have to go there and then copy or move it out to a location desired.

There is no easily vavilable info about that.

Would request some info and help for the same. i have tried all that i could from the current browzer settings and it has not helped.

Been a loyal fan of Firefox and would love to have this resolved.

Hi, I've been trying to get the Multi-Account Containers Add On to work on my computer for quite some time. Would be very handy for me. When I add the Add On to my browser the icon on the top right of the screen just won't show up. Don't know what I've been doing wrong...? How can I access the container settings someway else? I've made changes to my FF settings in regards to privacy via the recommendation from Sun Knudsen but don't really see an issue here. Thanks in advance!

Unlike Safari, Firefox doesn't autofill passwords or 2-factor codes. Please implement these features or tell me how to get them to work. MacOS 14.4.1 Thank you, Steve
