Buried in this announcement is the following statement:

"Meanwhile, new features like Tab Groups and enhanced bookmarks now provide built-in ways to manage reading lists easily."

Is this a yet to be announce new feature because as far as I can tell the bookmark implementation has not changed in years. However, I would welcome some "enhancements" as the current implementation is quite clunky.

Thoughts, anyone?

I do not want "recently bookmarked" to appear with my Bookmarks. How can I remove it? Right-clicking and changing the "browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked" preference no longer work.

I get the "for quick access, place your bookmarks..." where it was my bookmarks just yesterday. The star icon for creating a new one also doesnt work when I click it. Is there a bug going on or something?

hi, my bookmark had gone after update. firefox version is 139.0.1 (aarch64 with macos 14.6.1 (23G93). i also cannot make new bookmark. bookmark icon (star) on address bar also not working after update.below attach is screen when i click manage bookmark. your response is appreciated.

How do I restore the user-friendly, logical, dropdown bookmark menu? I hate (putting it mildly) having to open a sidebar window every time I want a bookmark not on my "immediate access" bookmark bar. If this cannot be done, how do I regress to a version that has it?

I cant get the browser to add bookmarks and the "For quick access. place bookmarks here....." doesn't go away All of my bookmarks I had before are gone too. But i don't care too much about that i jut want that message at the top of the screen to go away an i want to be able to add new bookmarks. Can you help me?

Not sure if this is the right area for the toolbar bookmark, but mine since the update now shows a black screen over the list. I have a mac ios system. Can you help me get it back to clear? thank you

My bookmarks menu is (empty) and I cannot save new bookmarks. Will not import under manage bookmarks tab. WHY is this suddenly happening on this computer when all my bookmarks and passwords are fine on my other computer?

Recently switched from Chrome and in Chrome I would open my "Other Bookmarks" folder and middle click a bunch of bookmarks which would open them up in a new tab without switching to that tab or closing the "Other bookmarks" folder.

Is there a way I can replicate this on Firefox? Because at the moment, middle clicking the bookmarks does nothing. This is not about the bookmarks bar at the top.

I used to use Firefox as my standard browser until this issue occurred some years ago. I can no longer add, edit, or see any bookmarks I previously had. When I start the browser, I'm met with an error message (see below), which then sends me to the site in the image below. The title roughly translates to: "The System for Bookmarks and Browser History is Non-Functional". I've tried following these steps in the past with no change regarding this issue, and I've had to switch back to Chrome. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but the issue persists.

Has anyone else encountered this?

When i mouse wheel click the bookmark folder, it always switches to the first tab when doing so. This notably doesn't happen when i click the non-folder bookmark. Is there a way not to have this behavior ?

Clicking "bookmark current tab " does not offer dropdown menu to assign bookmark location. Clicking "bookmark current tab" places bookmark in last used bookmark folder. Workaround is to "edit bookmark" and assign desired location.
