All of the sudden can't use Hotmail through Firefox I have tried clearing cache, making sure clocks are correct etc.

This is the error page that I get. How can I fix?

I have no issue with youtube on any other browser, but I do prefer Firefox. However, Fierfox says that site is slowing down firefox and suggests I close that page. Firefox did not do this in the past. Is this similar to the rather ugly color of the private window that I can't change, not being a coder? The impression I get is that Mozilla is making changes without assuring they work properly. I currently have to use chrome to make sure youtube works correctly.

I am unable to recover the original profile files, and this is not me trying to recover that; they are just gone completely so, I can't bring that original profile back to fix this. I have refreshed, uninstalled, signed out, closed the tabs from my sync list, etc, but I can't get this to go away. I don't know what to do.

I was unable to login to Etsy via Firefox. I thought maybe I had the wrong password so attempted to select "Forgot password" button, and was unable to do that either. I was able to login successfully via Google Chrome.

i am on Firefox 148.0. settings requires a directory in which to save downloads although i marked to always ask. i see there was a similar problem 3-4 years ago. i want firefox to always ask where to place a file but it doesn't ask at all. i want it to never automatically save a file.

On February 22, my bank, (5/3.com), decided a transaction I was making using my debit card was suspicious and locked my account. I contacted them and informed them this was a legitimate transaction and they unlocked my account, and everything seemed to be alright, my card was working all seemed well. That is until I tried to log in and check my balance and I could not get in. I then contacted the bank customer service and spent over an hour with them attempting to resolve this issue to no avail. The person on the line suggested that I try another browser so I connected to Edge, entered my log in and password, (which is stored in my Mozilla), and it went right through which proved two things, my password and login were correct and the issue is with Firefox which is very odd to me since it has always worked perfectly as long as I have been with this bank. Again, this issue began when the bank lock my account and as a side note they did the same thing with my wife's account, she called and they unlocked her account and every thing works as before and she can still use her Firefox and gets right in to the same bank with no issues but not me. Again, this started on the date I provided above and I can use any other browser and I get right in with no problem but I am a loyal Firefox user and I want to only use Firefox so I hope you can assist me in resolving this aggravating issue!

I use Stockhouse.com as a homepage and when I opened my computer this a.m. the site came up and it asked me to sign in which it normally does these days and I click on sign in and it shows my email and password and I click again and I'm signed in. This morning it asked me to provide my email address and password i.e. fill in the blanks. It has not done that for at least 15 - 20 years. Not remembering offhand what my password was I clicked on the 3 line application tab in the top right hand of my screen and brought up the list which includes "Passwords". I clicked on the password file and it is blank. It has never been blank before -- did Mozilla/Firefox make a change that would make my password file disappear?

My Firefox tabs crash repeatedly even when I tried opening them in Troubleshoot mode. When I play videos in the browser, there's this stuttering, buzzing noise while the sound lags, too. Usually it's tabs playing YouTube videos that crash, but I've also had tabs crash when I try to open completely unrelated websites. I've disabled hardware acceleration, repeatedly cleared my cache, and even tweaked some of my GPU throttling settings, but nothing seems to help.

I've noticed in the last few days that I'm periodically losing keyboard character input on sites following the update to the latest version - 148.0 (64-bit) I thought it might be a power issue with my WiFi keyboard and swapped out the batteries but the issue has persisted and I haven't experienced it when testing in Edge and nor have I seen it when using Excel or Notepad++ which I use regularly. Keyboard input actually froze for 4-5 seconds in inputting the last sentence. The problem is presenting on a number of sites - e.g. Reddit and YouTube. I do use the Ublock Origin extension but have been doing so for quite some time. I did report an issue with the mid screen search bar a few days ago and believe that is to be corrected in the update of 10th March. Is this also a known issue with the update?

To open a Venmo account they send you to get.venmo.com and that page will not open despite my changing various security and privacy settings. Does anyone have any experience with this that can help. I'm using Windows 11 (upgraded from Windows 10) and I've noticed that some -- only a few -- websites still think I'm using Windows 10 but I don't think that is the problem.

when I go to the manager tag and I click with the right bottom of the touch pad come out the window where I can delete the TAG I don't need, but never delete the version I use I upgrade all the time and is portable version mounted on a uSD card thank's to the attention

these shortcuts appear on my firefox home page are so annoying here is my setting , i toggle off all shortcuts related to history or sponsored shortcuts but they still pop up each time , i want to disable this feature i need only my selected shortcuts appear on home page what can i do ?

Firefox memorizes userIDs and I do not see an option to stop it from doing so. Is there an option?

Keep in mind that passwords are not limited to the password entry. Every entry in a sign-in process is an opportunity for a password. For example, the answer to "What street did you grow up on?" could be "Beatlejoice". Similarly, the answer to "What was your mother's middle name?" could be "Aardvark". Nonsensical answers to security questions are more secure than truthful answers.

Again, in the interest of security, is there an option to stop firefox from remembering so much?

I updated Firefox last week. A few days after, I discovered that when I signed into Firefox, I couldn't find my bookmarks or extensions that I'd had on it before. I tried the "Import bookmarks" menu, but it only gave me option to import from Microsoft.

Then, I saw two firefox icons on startup menu. When I hit a faded-out one, I got into Firefox and did see my old bookmarks and extensions. When I clicked a fully colored icon, I got into Firefox but couldn't see my old bookmarks and extensions.

I saw firefox listed twice on my "uninstall" menu. I uninstalled the later one. Now, there's only the fully colored firefox icon on my startup menu, but when I click it, I still don't see my old bookmarks or extensions.

Trying to log in to my account a few minutes ago to get help, I was told the password I was using didn't work, so I came up with a new one. When I logged in after that, I got a message saying my old data might not be available.

Is there any way i can get my old bookmarks and extensions back?

Can't enter text into body of post, ghosted (title allows me to type) on select sites (Kodi.tv). Changed to Chrome no issue. win10/64/FF 148

Strangeness... seem to be able to type post title, but not message body in all the forum threads. trying to post gives me an error and I am loggged in. Just re-installed Firefox.. no issues on other sites, the text body is ghosted... but not the title bar. At this point;  I'm locked out of messaging in the forum. (edited)

Installed Chrome and I'm back alive! Guess the new FFox is the issue? (edited)

Recently, whenever I put a video in PiP, the whole browser freezes. I'm not sure what causes it. The PiP player itself is playing and working fine, it's the browser as a whole that freezes completely. I can play/pause and even pop it back to its tab, but when I do, the browser is inaccessible to me because it freezes, despite the video still playing normally. I can only terminate the browser with Task Manager, otherwise the video will continue playing and the Firefox process goes on the background.

I have tried Googling for a way to fix it, but nothing seems to work. Some of the recommendations were to turn Hardware Acceleration off, allow autoplay, upgrade GPU drivers, and test in Troubleshoot Mode. I have autoplay completely off (including in about:config) and gave an exception to YouTube. I don't think this is the problem though, because I've had it set up this way for a long time, and the browser freezing only started happening recently. I have had Hardware Acceleration off for a while too, so it's not because of that. My GPU drivers are up-to-date (Nvidia). The browser still freezes in Troubleshoot Mode.

The problem is not limited to YouTube. Wherever I can pop the player off with PiP, it will freeze the whole browser (like Twitch or any other site with video player capabilities). I tried playing a video in a different browser and it worked just fine with no freezing, it only happens in Firefox.

I noticed that the common issue people report is the PiP player itself freezing, but my case is the exact opposite. The PiP plays fine while the rest of the browser freezes. I really like this feature and don't want to turn it off if possible. I like to pop the video out and watch it play while I scroll around on my desktop.
