Since around version 96 it seemed some new core changes made to how ff operates. any one care to share what the "big changes" were around that version rollout tldr?

since ver 96 ff became secondary browser. Using to test/isolate issues w/chromium (sigh). Now since ver 132 profile manager opens browser for correct profile everything looks good then 20seconds later ff crashes eorror: Exiting due to channel error

Inspiringly i see this forum is being used still so thought i would see if anyone has ideas what changes btwn ver 96/101 and 132 which may cause this new issue, maybe i can backout the changes and get back to using ff as a secondary backup again ....

IDK about anyone else but i LOOOOONG for the ole days when ff was a daily driver option on linux

Spell out what you want as I personally have no clue.I am 90 years old so what do you want .?, Should I just ignore these requestsd instead , as I have no idea what more to do... When you are 90 I wondder if you understab][nd the request to update. All I use my computer is for personal use only

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.30 with some websites which I have recently visited however which have appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

i have a firefox account on my old windows 10 computer. Firefox is having trouble "finding that site" for some sites I've used for years. I've checked internet settings in Firefox, reset my WIFI router, etc. with no response for connectivity. But I really guess I don't know what or where to check... When using vertical tabs and having bookmarks toolbar only visible on a new tab, there is this behavior where if you are on a website (bookmarks toolbar not visible) and then open a new tab, the vertical tabs move because they need to make space for the bookmarks toolbar. Would it be possible to make it like it is, for example, in Microsoft Edge, where when you open a new tab, your vertical tabs do not need to move because the bookmarks toolbar is as if off to the side a little bit, so the vertical tabs do not need to provide extra space for it? My hope would be for the bookmarks toolbar to be next to the vertical tabs, not above them.

Tabs Dan be saved individually. But tabs can be gathered and saved to a tab group. Can we save the tab group like individual tab in bookmark or else, so that the tab group can be easily restored when the Firefox is closed.

I don't know where to write this. Hello everyone, Firefox has an auto-fill feature for cards. I wanted to enter all my cards. I enter my card, and it comes to the expiration date. The card says 10/37, but in Firefox the maximum is 35. Alfa Bank Russia has started issuing cards that are valid for 12 years, I don't know if it's to save money or not. In Settings>General>Language, why is there an option to "Use your operating system settings for “English (Zimbabwe)” to format dates, times, numbers, and measurements." . I can't find any documentation for this. Is there an interesting 'Zimbabwe' format or feature? If so, what is it?

Do I need to add an email filter?

Firefox offers to automatically save user IDs and corresponding passwords on a site by site basis. It then will offer (or in some cases just insert the information) on the same site's login page when you return. This seems to be called "autofill" in the documents.

However, for some sites (and this appears to be random), when confronted with a login page, not only will Firefox automatically insert the user ID and PW (autofill), but for each step it will ALSO accept the insertion to move to the next question, effectively automatically log in.

For example, for one site, when I open a new tab and navigate to a site that I had previously saved user ID and PW for, the login page will briefly flash, and then I will be automatically logged into the site. There seems to be no name that I can find to describe this behaviour that distinguishes it from the "autofill" described above. I will call it "autologin" for this question.

My question is how to control this behaviour? I have not consciously chosen to have Firefox autologin for any site, but I do save ID and PW for the autofill capability. Is there a way to turn the autologin on or off (i.e. control it) for specific sites?
