In the last update of Firefox, today, the updated firefox opened without some bookmarks that I had open in the last session and that I don't want to lose. I tried the recovery following your help (Recover user data missing after Firefox update) but without success. How can I recover lost bokmars? Note: This situation has happened more times and if I can't recover the bookmarks, I will have to give up Firefox, which I have been using for many years and stop recommending it.

We are in an enterprise environment and for years we have had disabled automatic updates.

Firefox ESR 128.2.0 has been deployed with defaults and these settings have been configured to override previous settings.

Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Mozilla > Firefox

- Custom Update URL = Disabled
- Disable Update = Disable
- Application Autoupdate = Enabled
- Background updater = Enabled

We also have a system proxy configured.

Updates do work if someone goes to Help > About Firefox.

Looks like the update interval is once every 7 hours but how is this triggered?

Your article about the expiration of Windows 10 says that anyone that has FireFox on the Release Channel doesn't have to worry, that updates will continue to support Windows 10. I don't know what that means (Release Channel). And how can I check if that's what I have?

When I started up Windows 11 on my new laptop, I had to connect to the web via Edge to be able to install Firefox. I foolishly went on to install Firefox via Microsoft Store. I have now installed Firefox from the Mozilla website via the Microsoft Store version, but I cannot uninstall the Microsoft Store version. I don't have access to the folder where it is installed even though I log on as an administrator.

Firefox auto updated when I opened it today. Then when it opened, all that was on the screen was the menu (file edit view history bookmarks tools help), the "search or enter address" box, and in the upper right hand corner the words "private browsing" with the purple circle and eye eyeglasses icon. That's all. I have tried looking at my profile. It seems to still be there. This seems to be a problem with the Firefox software itself. I have re-downloaded the software three times, the last time I uninstalled Firefox from my laptop and totally reinstalled. Every time I get the same results. This almost blank screen. Let me be clear. There is no purple background, there is no Firefox icon, there are no tabs, there is no customized menu bar, there is no search box in the middle of the screen. I'm working on a Windows 10 laptop 64 bit. Please don't tell me to upgrade the Windows 11, the laptop won't take Windows 11. I get the same window whether I open the regular fire fox or the private browsing Firefox.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I have a macbook air laptop (late 2010) and have been using the latest version of Firefox browser for browsing. It's one of the few browsers still available. Google is popping up with the message that my browser is no longer supported. Do you have any suggestions about a browser that may work (other than a new computer please)? Will Firefox be coming up with a new extended version that will work? Thanks!

I got tired of the shenanigans with the latest "upgrades" to firefox (132 & 133) so I rolled back to the last working version (131.02). In doing so, it required me to create a new profile, which I did. Doing so WIPED OUT ALL OF MY BOOKMARKS, SETTINGS, ADD-ONS, OPTIONS, HISTORY, EVERYTHING!!! I now have a blank version of firefox.

How in the world can I get them back???

After last update Firefox ESR 115.23.0 the menu on the website: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/homeis not displayed correctly. Could you fix this? Second question - can you disable reCAPTCHA when logging in to this site?
