Having read so many posts I can not find answer to this one! Running ESR 102.5 and accessing a Synology NAS on a LAN with direct IP (eg 192.168.1.77) usings https:\\192.168.1.77:port number

Usually use an old Firefox (52.9 ESR) for LAN traffic as last version that allows notes against bookmarks. No issues with accessing the NAS.

On using 102.5 with the https:\\ entry it ALWAYS brings up "Warning - Potential...risk ahead" and then gives the standard SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER because of course it is looking for an IP ADDRESS and you can not create a certicate for an IP ADDRESS!

This is very, very annoying every time loggng in (cache etc cleared on all exits) and older versions you could add security exceptions.

have changed the preference:- security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled = false but does nothing.

Is there any way to remove this annoying fault of IP addresses as a LAN in not a secuirty isssue?

At a loss here: My primary password appears to be corrupted - it rejects my correct information - the enter-your-user-name-password dialog is showing up, seemingly, whenever it wants to -- open a new webpage, it shows up; attempting to open a password-protected WordPerfect doc, it shows up; etc., etc. - There are many (most of the) websites that I visit that do not need a log-in password -- but the dialog just keeps popping up repeatedly as if they did. Whatever that's about . . . - Going to Firefox / Settings / Passwords, the dialog again pops up (seems to be every time I hit ENTER, so I just CANCEL and keep trying to move ahead), so that means I can't even get into the settings to make any changes -- to reset the primary password requires logging-on using that very same password, which the dialog rejects

Would like to just remove it, since it's proving to be a pointless process.

How does one delete a corrupted password process?

Hi, I was looking for a funny page and found youranidiot.com and when I went to the page about a dozen or more little windows popped up and were bouncing all over the desktop with happy faces in them. I finally got them to stop and closed everything down, however now, all my bookmarks are gone, firefox will not sync, I cant change password to a primary one. I can not restore my bookmarks from previous save. I am worried they got all my info. what can I do??

I want to continue to receive emails from lhm.org, but am no longer receiving them. Is this site blocked from my account? I did not block it. How do I reinstate receiving their emails?

When I logged into my Firefox account on a computer given to me by my employer, I acquired all the login info from all the other Firefox profiles on the computer, including bank details and a porn account. What's up with that?

I deleted all those old profiles and purged the extraneous passwords from my password list but did my passwords go online and mix with all those other people's passwords? And could someone repairing my computer open up their Firefox account and capture all of my passwords in the same manner?

With the update from 107.1 to 108.0 my default search engine was reset from DuckDuckGo to Google. This happened several times before, about once a year. Extremely annoying. I'm using the only browser not based on chromium for a reason.

Is this due to some agreement between Google and Mozilla?

I really wish I could pay directly for a browser. I'm using it 8-10 hrs each day.

All my saved passwords are lost. I use v. 108.0 on Macbook Os 12.4

I do have Avast, and I have read about AVG bug that was previously. I've checked and I do not have any logins.json.corrups

I do not have multiple profiles (only one). 6 months ago I downloaded the Firefox app on iPhone and then created an Firefox account. This is now my profile that I'm using. No matter if I'm logged in on the profile or logged out, I can't access my saved passwords.

Please help me. I've been trying to solve this for months now.

Lately I'm getting a pop-up on my laptop and iphone offering to log in via my Google account. I don't have a Google account, and all the help articles I find just tell people how to disable that. I have cookies set to Strict, I've cleared the cache, made sure things are updated, and I still get this annoying pop-up. I've got various add-ons installed. AdGuard, ClearURLS, Cookie Autodelete, Decentraleyes, UBlock Origin, Disable HTML5, Facebook Container, Flash Control, and HTTPS Everywhere. I'm open to suggestions on where to go from here. Frustrating for this to just start suddenly, and having to find a way to disable it.

Firefox on Win10 has lost all of my logins. I tried launching a new profile, but no good. In the settings "logins.json" has become "logins.json.corrupt" and renaming it does nothing. The Firefox on my two android devices still have the logins intact is there a way to send them to the Windows version?

I have only a dumb flip phone, no email on that, no qr code reader. traveling with laptop, only on line email to get verification code. You state sms is not secure for receiving security code. Yet, many other sites do use a sms code to confirm login.

I've had a problem where things I 'haven't copied are being copied and pasted. Sometimes pasted in the correct place. For instance, I review my password manager to view a date, return to a webpage and start typing the date I viewed and it is automatically pasted into the date field while I'm typing the date!!! How, if at all is this possible?

Folks, my basic settings are "always use private browsing mode". I occasionally run into sites that don't allow this. I see there is the keystroke support for the ability to open a new tab in private mode. Can you develop one to open a tab in non private mode ?? it's a major pain to have to change the main private browsing mode setting to off, use the site that demands it off, then change it back afterwards.

I do not have a G account. For work related purposes I have to utilize websites that bombard me with Sign in w Google. No settings within FF I found can stop this onslaught. Same goes for Ad Block Plus and a few others since disabled and deleted. No useful information on G's forum website. Firefox, I was under the impression your about user safety & security? Why O Why do I get this garbage from G daily in your browser 105.3 on Win 10 home without a way to disable it?

I have a new medical website to use my medical plan. When I am in the medical website (primary site), that site will send me to another URL or second web site. Firefox will block the second site and not let me have access due to some security setting. I can not figure how to change that setting so I can open multiple web sites within a primary site. How do I correct this so I can use the primary web site information. Thank you
