I have a machine I've been using for months and haven't got around to archiving the history and tabs for some research I was doing. I realized this could be problematic if anything happened to the machine, so I decided to sign-in to my Mozilla/Firefox account I made years ago, so it would be safely sync'd.

Everything was fine at first, it showed it was syncing and whatnot, but then after several minutes, Firefox crashed. Upon relaunching, ALL of my history is gone! Neither signed-in nor signed-out shows any history at all, except the searches I've done just now trying to undo this mess. Did I really just loose months of history due to some bug or is there a way I can manually restore or see it from the mess of cache/profile files on my machine?

Ubuntu user, so will be at ~/ or similar for most things I assume.

I've used Firefox for years. Every couple years or so, without explanation, all my bookmarks disappear. I dutifully restore them and of course the favicons are all gone. I've finally had enough. I'm moving on. The inexplicable and sudden loss of bookmarks is bad enough, having to revisit every site to restore the favicon even worse. Sick of it, done with it, can't recommend it.

my browser (firefox) suddenly crashed and all my login data with backup was gone i tried everything but still not working i have the recovery key hopefully restore my account

For the past, about 9 months, every time any update is applied to my Firefox browser, I loose access to my Bookmarks (approx 10 years worth) and have to go through the tedious process of copying, renaming, moving, restarting etc. Is Mozilla going to fix this issue soon or should I just resign myself to having to check my bookmarks every couple of days or so to see if they still exist.

Ich habe die Passwortliste bei Einstellungen aufgerufen und die war leer und alle gespeicherten Passwörter waren weg. Ich habe sie aber nicht gelöscht. Wie kann ich die Liste mit den Passwörtern wieder wieder herstellen ?

I have installed Windows 11 to replace Windows 10 but my bookmarks in Firefox have disappeared, is there a way to retrieve my bookmarks that always appeared each time I opened Firefox?

Hello, I use Windows 11 on my PC in France. I lost all my Firefox bookmarks and browsing history some time ago. When I try to use Firefox I get the message : Firefox is not operational because one of the Firefox files is being used by another application. I have tried to get an explanation on firefox.fr but to no avail, their support page is far too complex. I can still browse with Frefox but no bookmarks, so it defeats the purpose... Please help if you can as I now have to resort to Google Chrome, wich is not as versatile and I would really like to be able to use Firefox again. Thanks. Raymond

I keep losing all my saved passwords in my Firefox browser when I get a Windows 11 update, Why and how do I recover them and prevent them from being deleted when there is Windows 11 update? thank You

when I clicked on firefox icon today, bing browser appeared and I was not able to use firefox until I downloaded firefox again. I would like to restore the firefox I was using, I had several windows open and my passwords stored there. please advise

When accessing my bookmarks list, I clicked on the wrong location and my whole list of bookmarks disappeared; left me with tabulated folders. How do I get my list of bookmarks back?

Firefox update did not fully complete. All bookmarks have been lost. I did not have a back up file. Can I still get them back? It's still asking to finish setup and has not completed.
