Hi,

I am not getting sound from any applications on Firefox. I have uninstalled and re-installed with no luck. The computer sound works fine on other browsers and was working as recently as 4 days on Firefox but now no videos, games, etc will generate any sound. Went to the common solutions and no help. Is there any other solutions out there ?

I'm running Firefox 108.01 on Windows 10. Lately I've been having an intermittent issue when I click on a link and go to another page. When the new page is displayed, the back button (arrow) is grayed out so I can't navigate back to the previous page that I came from.

after updating my Linux Mint system I got a puzzling issue in Firefox. After the update finished I started up Firefox and found that the toolbar seems to have a design issue. Some of the buttons that are usually located on the right of the window seems to now stretch over the whole length of the window. This makes it impossible to access any of the tabs (see figure in the appendix).

I was wondering whether you have seen this bug before and how one could try to fix it.

Browser simply gets stuck. For example, a page loads and it will not play video, whereas in two other browsers there are no issues. Refreshing page does not work. Closing tab and reloading page does not work. Browser doesn't remember desktop size and defaults to full screen, usually after an update.

Is it possible to have Firefox check to see that it has the latest version of a Webpage in cache? I load pages that I have not used for a long time and Firefox loads an old version of the page requiring me to refresh (F5).

Using FF 108.0.1 Iare getting the search.spark browser. The home button brings up my homepage (Google.com). None of the suggestions I have seen have helped (that includes Malwarebytes, hitman, IO Bit,Zenma, jiggling settings, etc). I need to get rid of this annoying POS. BTW I DID NOT D/L the suspicious extention mentioned in the article.

Firefox (v. 108.0.1) always opens a new window when my Windows 11 laptop wakes up from sleep. This whether or not Firefox was running when the laptop went to sleep. If Firefox was running, it opens a new window, with the old window still present with any content displayed. Since I have Firefox Home setting set to "Blank Page", the new window is on a blank page.

I have tested this with the "Open previous tabs and windows" setting both on and off.

The new window is always on the screen when the laptop wakes up, even if the old window was minimized when going to sleep (and the old window remains minimized when waking up).

There is no Windows Startup item that calls for Firefox to open on startup.

I recently got this Win 11 laptop. As far as I can tell, I am using the same Firefox settings as I did on my old Win 10 laptop, which did not have this sleep issue.

No other program/application behaves this way when my laptop wakes up.

Outgoing email (write,reply) on webmail1.earthlink.net does not work on Firefox. If I use Chrome it does. Any ideas? I am using an HP desktop and Windows 10.

I have an external USB SSD drive that I use only to manually copy occasional data files for backup. No program files are on that drive. When I want to disconnect the USB drive with ONLY Firefox running, Windows tells me a program is using the drive. When I close Firefox I can disconnect the drive normally. There are no Firefox related files on the drive - not even manual backups.

Why is Firefox using my USB drive? How do I stop such access?

When I log into amazon with mozilla and try to search for an item, amazons reply screen, on my windows 10 computer screen, goes black. When I do the same login sequence using google, everything works normally. I prefer using mozilla . This is a recent problem with mozilla that started two weeks ago. I need this fixed. I don't want to change browsers but I use amazon frequently. Thanks for your help.

I am running a Microsoft Surface running Windows 10. I think there was a system update yesterday. Since then, there are some sites that when I log in to my account, I get part of the way there, but I get bounced back to the main landing page of the site without logging in.

I am able to get logged in using Microsoft Edge or if I use Firefox on an iPad. Just not on the Surface.

Is there something in Firefox that isn't playing well with the recent update to Windows 10? Any idea if there's anything I can do other than use a different browser?

This is an autofill question.

I have a form using a single page app and AngularJS code. There are two versions. One version has the master page an ASPX page. The other version has the master page a HTML page. The form has a single input text box which is the user enters criteria for a search. The submit button executes an AJAX call with the user’s text.

The names for the input text box and submit button is the same for both forms.

For the ASPX version, autofill recognizes and stores new values and shows them the next time the user puts his mouse in the textbox.

For the HTML version, autofill does not store any new values. It does show existing values stored by the ASPX form.

A hypothesis is there is something in the HTTP Request/Response going to the ASPX master page behind the scenes that activates autofill save code that is not getting activated by the HTTP Request/Response going to the HTML master page.

Whatever the problem is, is there any JavaScript code I can execute to activate this autofill save new values code?

Any explanations, solutions, or suggestions are welcome.

Since installing firefox on a new laptop, i can not log onto PNC online banking. The log on page loads but upon entering id and password, the screen comes up "verifying identity" It sends me right back to another logon screen. Usually the verification screen will ask to send a code to my phone. I have two other sites that briefly logs me on and then boots me out to the logon screen again. FYI, I do not like using edge, but I could access PNC with it. please advise

hi, I am having trouble with facetime on facebook. the other person can see and hear me but I cannot see or hear them. my camera and microphone settings are enabled for facebook but i found that autoplay had block microphone and camera was showing after your update. so I set it to allow and facetime worked perfectly. today i came online and checked all settings were correct and they were, so I went to facetime to my sister and the same problem is back. I cannot hear or see them but they can hear and see me. what is going on firefox, why isn't this working when it shows that my camera and microphone is allowing permission for facebook.

I have the latest version of Firefox for Windows. In the upper right corner next to Sign In is a bell which is for notifications. I want to permanently disable the notifications. At the present, I can click on the bell, select setting and toggle the notifications to Off. However, this is not permanent. If I close Firefox and open it again, notifications are once again enabled and I have to repeat to disable. How do I disable permanently?

This is why I have not used Firefox. I try it and have issues accessing sites. I went to hulu.com enter id and password and got this: 502 Bad Gateway nginx.

When I try to play Netflix from my Macbook and onto to my smart TV via my Apple TV device, I find that I can hear the sound but cannot see any picture. The set-up used to work fine until I up-dated to the latest version of the Firefox browser and then the picture disappeared. I have a second Macbook on which I'm running an older version of Firefox (from April'22) and this is still working fine with Netflix/Apple TV connection etc., i.e. picture and sound working well. Has anyone else had this issue.

Btw, I can have both picture and sound on my Macbook screen if I don't connect to Apple TV even when using the latest Firefox version!
