When I opened Firefox today, ALL of my bookmarks were gone. There was a message saying that they couldn't be accessed, and that sometimes securiity software incompatibility is the culprit. I'm also now unable to create any new bookmarks. I have no idea what may have updated, and don't know whether to blame you, Windows/MS, Xfinity, or the McAfee prompt which keeps trying to get me to finish installing something I never intended to install in the first place, but can't get rid of. How do I get browser bookmarks back?????

My bookmarks disappeared and I do not know why.

I have tried to restore bookmarks following the directives obtained online. Somehow this has not been successful, and this remains a giant puzzle to me.

I can see the bookmarks in Library, but I have not been successful in figuring how to transfer that listing to the Bookmarks tab at the left-sided top of the frame of the browser.

I don't come from an IT/Tech background so this has become a hassle for me. I have a "Old Firefox Data" file on the my desktop and that seems to have sub-folders with my bookmarks, sessions, logins, etc. How do I retrieve those to the new Firefox browser.

I had like 10,000 open tabs (not exaggerating) and these tabs are gone after a blue screen error and a few Windows updates. I want to restore those tabs, but I can not because the "Restore the previous session" option is grayed out.

Are there ways to restore these open tabs?

If there isn't one, then I want to restore all the websites I have visited over the past few years and manually filter them.

How do I do it?

The Firefox library contains history but the oldest history it contains is 2024 December one. I guess the dedicated folder removed my old browsing history as it was filled up?

What I read is that places.sqlite file contains all the browsing history. Is this right? My places.sqlite file size is 80.0 MB (83,886,080 bytes). Is there a size limit on this file? I wonder if this file contains all my browsing history.

I have my places.sqlite file and DB Browser installed on my computer. But I don't know what to do next after opening places.sqlite file.

If there are better suited applications for my purpose than DB Browser, please recommend me one with a little instruction.

Long story short, how do I restore my open tabs or browsing history?

Update downloaded a few days ago, I closed Firefox to restart with updates and I can't get my previous session back. I even tried my OneTab to see if I could get older stuff back and it's lost that too!

lost all bookmarks and can not add them back. tried the restarting, importing from Google, etc. Sadly I am off of Firefox after more than 20 years using it. Fortunately Google works fine for me, but I miss Firfox.

I did reinstall of the Windows on all the devices I had, PC and laptop. Now I've lost my data bookmarks, password and sites. Please help me out how what I cab do here.

All my bookmarks are dissappear. I tried follow the instructions how to restore, but it's still didn't work. when I select Manage bookmark, Import/back up, select files. It pops up an error. Is there any other solutions that you can help me with. thank you very much for your concern and support.

After the latest Firefox update I've been unable to bring up all the bookmarks I had. I also lost bookmarks on Toolbar. I've followed posted recovery suggestions but haven't had any success retrieving bookmarks. Has this happened to anyone else? What do I do?

I have followed all the Restore instructions to get my 1 plus years of bookmaarks back. Manage Bookmarks application will not open or show ther ever where any backed up files. The steps " Manage Bookmarks/Import/Choose File" function never responds or directs me to select a folder. There are two folders on my Desktop that are named Firefox Bookmarks. See attached screenshots.
