Just had firefox throw an error that I was running out of disk space for cookies. Open up the dialog, and was prompted that I had over 17,179,869,184GB of youtube cookies, and 5 GB of cookies for a site I was buying something from. Restarting firefox moved both down to a reasonable 304MB and the store to 207KB. I have never seen this one before.

When typing in a URL (for example www.google.com) and pressing enter, Firefox automatically sends me to a specific page on the website that I've visited before (for example, www.google.com/search/12345). I am making sure that it is not auto-filling a suggested URL before hitting enter, it is just the basic URL. I tried deleting cookies for that website and clearing the Firefox suggestions using the arrow keys and shift + Delete and it is still automatically sending me to a different page on that website. I also tried the same thing in an incognito browser and it does the same. If anyone has any ideas it'd be appreciated. It's not a big hassle but I just want to figure it out more than anything.

I need help in a bad way because I have tried all the directions BigFish has given. I am also 82 years old so I will follow your advice. The login worked for a couple of days but I think Firefox had some updates because computer restarted several times when I wasn't present. When that happens I then find myself having problems with Facebook which is a big nightmare in itself but then I also find I once again am blocked from my game site. Below is what I get each time at the BF game site:

Cookies are required to sign in!

No, we're not talking about chocolate-chip cookies. "Cookies" are little text files sent to your browser to help keep track of users. Your browser is set to not accept cookies, so our system cannot sign you in.

Please follow the instructions below for your browser (starting at the top menu), and then refresh this page:

   Internet Explorer:
Tools -> Options -> Privacy tab. Reduce the setting to medium.
   Opera:
Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced tab -> Cookies -> Accept cookies.
   Firefox:
Tools -> Options -> Privacy -> Cookies tab -> Allow sites to set cookies.
   Safari:
Safari -> Preferences -> Security -> Accept Cookies: Only from sites you navigate to.
   Netscape:
Edit -> Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies -> Allow cookies based on privacy settings (or Allow all cookies).

I have tried my best to get Firefox to allow the cookies or eat them or whatever is needed but apparently I am doing something wrong. The BF tech is now advising me to change to another browser but I am unwilling to do that. I am used to Firefox.

Please, is there anyone who can help me, even walk me through so I don't get this same page again and again?

Gail

P.S. I am not above begging either. I am elderly and very close to tears because I retired from a prototype engineering and developmental lab where I worked with robots and all that. I guess they have turned on me.

Hello, Firefox keeps signing me out of Google websites like google.com and youtube.com when I close out the browser. I recently switched from Google Chrome and was wondering if this was a Google issue or if it was Firefox. It only keeps me signed out of Google accounts, and keeps me signed in for every other website. I have the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" box unchecked and it still keeps me logged out, and I have "cookied" unboxed in my Clear History settings as well. I'd like to have this issue fixed as soon as possible for school-related reasons.

After exiting private browsing, Firefox does not delete cookies. For example, the site: https://4pda.to leaves cookies from the site: devapps.ru | And if the site that I visit is built to redirect to another site, then the cookies of the first site remain in the browser. Try to go with Russian IP to https://aliexpress.com/ and you will be redirected to https://aliexpress.ru/ while the cookies from the first site (aliexpress.com) remain. Manual blocking in Firefox does not work in this case (devapps.ru), adding in block with Adguard helps. The screenshot shows the last two cookies that appeared in normal mode after using private browsing. And my settings. Chrome doesn't have this problem.

Hi everyone,

I unfortunately have somewhat unstable power where I live which is causing me some issues with Firefox. I plan on purchasing a UPS at some point, but just haven't messed with it right now. When there is a power outage and I have Firefox open, I always get logged out of all websites. Sometimes I get the message about Firefox already running and I delete the parent.lock file to fix that, but I still have to log back into every single website again (whether or not I have to delete parent.lock).

I've went over all settings (such as auto deleting cookies, etc) and nothing looks like it would cause this issue. It's almost like the cookies are "expiring" after a power outage and are no longer any good. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I have Firefox 99 for Mac "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" is unchecked History is set to "Remember History" Enhanced Tracking Protection is set to "standard"

Yet every time I return to a site where I've checked "remember me" , I'll get prompted to login, and perhaps also get a security message "you've logged in from a new computer" in my email from the site.

Is there an easy way to verify that Firefox is storing cookies for a site. Maybe an option to right-click on a site's web page and view "cookies are stored for this site" in the context menu? I'm losing a lot of my productivity time logging back into sites that I just logged into earlier in the day.

Starting this week, I can do only one search for a movie title on Metacritic.com. I get a 403 error from any attempt to do a subsequent search. I can get one more successful search if I first delete my Metacritic cookies from Firefox. But the problem repeats after any successful search.

Repeated searches work fine if I access Metacritic via Chrome. In case it matters, I'm running both browsers under Windows 10 on a desktop.

Can I tell Firefox not to accept cookies from Metacritic? Other ideas?
