Firefox just automatically updated and now when playing video while not being the selected window (eg watching a video in the background while doing something else) it plays at a noticeably lower frame rate.

I was using my computer today and everything was working fine, when I closed and reopened Firefox it automatically updated, I have changed no settings anywhere on my computer or in Firefox but when i alt-tabbed to a different window while watching a movie after the update Firefox started playing at a low frame rate.

Any idea what could be happening? it seems to be caused by this latest update.

(I have seen posts from some time ago that seemed to be having a similar problem but the solutions from them do not seem to work).

I lost some very important, now unrecoverable tabs, because you thought that fixing and updating something that ALREADY WORKS FINE is a great idea.

Gesturefy, Version: 3.2.19 keeps loosing my gestures in FF 157.0 (64-bit)

It constantly defaults to the initial state

This has only happened since the latest update to Firefox

Is there a way to back up either the Gesturefy, app or the profile which hopefully includes Gesturefy, settings?

I'm trying to use Widgets in the Home page, but I can't find the option to enable them. Following [previous solved question], I checked that I have the "Allow Firefox to improve features, performance, and stability between updates" option enabled, have restarted and updated Firefox, but I still can't find the option. Should I check for other configurations?

When Fidefox updated to 157, it kept all my settings, but it will not allow my windows default PDF viewer to save and open PDFs automatically. Instead, it uses the Firefox PDF viewer - which has improved, but it is not what I would like. I have reset my handlers.json along with trying to force it via about:config. Nothing is working, and it is a hassle.

After a recent update - I can no longer copy a title from an article and get the full URL to paste in OneNote.

For example with this article - If copied it and pasted it in OneNote it would appear this way

I made no changes to OneNote and in settings there: Include link to source when pasting from the Web is checked.

This function is working in Chrome as usual. But no longer in Firefox.

What setting can I change?

Firefox was recently updated automatically. Since then, I cannot access my Yahoo mail. I can access my emails using Bluemail. When I try to access my emails with Yahoo on Firefox, I receive the following error message.

like, radiofrance, netflix, yahoomail ,. It will happen after 30 minutes not right after turning on ther vpn.

My version of firefox is Version 153.0.1 (64 bits)

Would it be possible to add a Settings option to open a previously defined Tab Group to open as a Tab Group (rather than as a list of individual tabs) when a new Firefox Window is opened or Firefox is started?

Please help. Can't open yahoo mail

When I open Firefox, I get Welcome to Firefox each time. I asked this question earlier and received this response:

This sounds like Firefox is not saving the profile/setup changes between launches. I’d check that Firefox isn’t running in a temporary/new profile and that the profile folder is writable.

You could also try creating a new Firefox profile and see whether it launches normally there.

I do not know how to do any of this, especially since I cannot open Firefox. Please advise.

Apparently Firefox updated and changed its appearance. The tab bar and other UI elements used to be squared, but now they're round. Also the private browsing default page appearance changed too. How can I change it back to the way it used to be? I'm on version 157 on Windows 11.
