Hello community, As soon as firefox 106.0.2 finished installing itself i was greated with some nice new color schemes to choose from, and also some other settings regarding accessing content and tabs from other devices, retrieving closed tabs and so on. Ever since i can't seem to find and access those settings. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. I'm on linux, Manjaro.

I shutdown my firefox browser and was running top on my linux POP_OS 22.04 laptop.

I noticed a firefox process running at 23 to 25 % of the cpu even though the browser was closed. Can you tell me what is running and how I control it?

Hello, The bookmark toolbar has a FOLDER called "Other Bookmarks" just appeared out of nowhere and I just noticed it. It contained 4-5 links which I deleted assuming this would delete the folder and I added a random bookmark to see if that might do anything. No! I have searched for fixes including going into "About:Config" chamed tried changing the command (i.e., browser.toolbars.bookmarks.showotherbookmarks, and other similar commands from True to False), none of this did anything. There is no right-click command over the folder, "Show Bookmarks" as you can see in the screen shot. I need to get rid of this, as it is taking up valuable real estate and is an eyesore so to speak. Again, this just popped out of nowhere when I was moving/deleting bookmarks on the toolbar that wouldn't cause this folder to appear out of nowhere. Thank you in advance. I do hope someone can help!

Hi Today I updated Firefox to version 106.0 and I can't get rid of the "arrow button" from top right (screenshot attached - near the minimize button, I marked it). The function of this button is clear for me - tabs management. But I can manage my tabs without special button for it. I want to remove it. I tried right clicking on it, but the "remove from toolbar" option is unavailable. I tried to customize toolbar, but it won't work either (I can't take it from te toolbar).

How to remove this button?

I was trying to move it and I accidentally deleted it. I would like to reinstall it. I cannot seem to find the right phrase to find it on your sight and do a reinstall. If you would be so kind to point me in the right direction,I would be most grateful. Little updates like this is why I have remained a loyal fan since the Netscape Navigator days.

Currently in Windows 11 running Firefox Version 106.0.5 (64-bit).

About three days ago I noticed that I can no longer paste images from Firefox directly into messaging platforms. Didn't think too much about it, until today when I attempted to copy an image from Firefox into a graphics program (Affinity Designer) and what I got instead of the image was a string with the following text:

"C:\Users\squir\AppData\Local\Temp\1659928653877.webp"

I searched online and found that refreshing Firefox should fix the issue. It did not. Attempted to replicate in Chrome and Edge, was able to successfully copy images from both browsers. Attempted to replicate in other graphics programs: With Corel Painter, Inkscape, and Paint I was able to copy-paste from both Chrome and Edge, but not with Firefox.

Once again, I have refreshed Firefox, checked for updates in both the OS and browser, restarted the computer and the problem still persists.

Would appreciate any suggestions as to how I can fix this issue.

Since upgrading to version 106, I believe, I see annoying indentation in File and View drop-down menus. Is this a known problem or am I the only one with this problem? If there's a solution using userChrome please instruct me.

Getting sick of this crap that everything has to have this BLACKNESS crap in it, 13% of the population shoved in everything, You never see Asians, or any other race now, it's always this black crap, everything in now divershittyfied.

After downloading FF 106.0 A Firefox Icon appeared on the left side of my menu bar that won't go away and is taking up space that I need. It's guiding me thru a sign in page to syn my devices. I DON"T WANT TO SYNC my devices. I just want to get rid of that icon. When I try to sign in it tells me it will send me a 6 digit code and I have to enter it in 5 mins. I never received the code. I don't care if I ever get the code. Please tell me how to get rid of the icon w/o going thru the process of the "tutorial" Thank you!

I've just opened Firefox to discover it has updated whilst I was out, and now all my saved logins are missing.

It's not a disaster, just really annoying as it means having to re-enter a lot of information, and remembering it!

Is there any way of recovering that information or is it a lost cause?

I use pihole on my home network but firefox doesn't seem to care. i disabled DNS over HTTPS but still it seems it ignores my dns server

Is this a known issue for the new update? Whenever I try to click Recently Closed Windows in particular, it just does nothing. It has the grey highlighted bar that shows it wants to do something, but then does nothing. About 1 out of 100 times when i click Recently Closed Tabs, it WILL open to show my recently closed tabs, but generally does the same thing as Recently Closed Windows. I know I have recently closed tabs because I restored session and it is currently showing all my old tabs I had open prior to the update. I also tested to see if my recently closed had just reset by opening a new window and closing it, but it still just does nothing. I use the Recently Closed Windows quite a bit and it's quite irritating that it appears to be broken.

After an update today, private browsing windows now are a different color than the other windows. I don't want them to be a different color. How do I change them back to the same as the other windows?

Also, how do I remove the extra text label next to the private mode icon, and just generally put things back to the way they used to look?

I' m having the issue that .jpeg images don't zoom smaller in Firefox (they do in Safari). I'm performing cmd-+/- on a Mac keyboard.

I would like to open my history page and select an entry and open in it a new tab and the history page to remain open.

It is annoying that the history page closes automatically after the user opens a selected entry. Because I often view history trying to find a previous tab and typically don't find it first go, but then have to reopen history :(

Is it possible to change that behaviour?

firefox has just automatically updated when using private browsing all dropdown menus appear as white text on a grey background this is harder to read i want black text on a white background

Firefox view is a new feature that looks awesome and I'd love to try it out to sync stuff between devices. There's just one problem:

1. Firefox view works on my laptop and seems to work on my phone, but does not work on my desktop.

For reference:

• Desktop (doesn't have view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Laptop (has view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Both devices are running Firefox 106.0.2 (64-bit)

I have already:

• Made sure "Open Tabs" is enabled for sync on all devices
• Looked for the firefox view in the "Customize Toolbar" menu
• Disabled / Re-enabled Firefox-View in about:config
