I would like to ban the Quora website altogether but especially from answering searches I make. What I have found so far does not work. Any suggestions? If I can do that I might even do that to another website that I see no value in. Thank you.

My places.sqlite file deleted all previous history on Jan 17th at about 11:07 PM all the way back to early December of 2023. Ccleaner was last run on Jan 11th and the browser settings are set to clear cache and cookies only. The computer was showing no issues and I did not discover the lost history until I pulled up the history four days later. The history identified only the past four days when the last week was selected. The sessionstore-backups folder showed files back to January 1st. What I cannot figure out is why the places. sqlite would just clear on its own and why I cannot activate any previous sessionstore file by following the mozilla firefox instructions below.

I only get the landing page with the option to restore the previous session grayed out. What common reasons are there for a places.sqlite file to wipe out a block of history and why would reactivate a previous session not work? Thanks!

Our university uses a box.com app. It's basically box but personalized for our use. I have a number of documents that I cannot open using Firefox. When I switch to Chrome, I am able to access the documents. Any ideas? I'm thinking there is a setting in Firefox I need to change, but not sure which one.

Hello I've few servers with BMC cards for management. I need to connect for managing servers. I'm in a LAN with IP 10.11.225.x My server are in another site with the LAN management 10.91.x.x between the two sites we have a VPN IPsec Each time I try to connect Firefox said : You will be redirected to another web page for authorization After few second, the redirection is to an IP address 10.11.244.x. How can I solve the problem ? Thanks in advanced

Firefox uses below 2ghz CPU speed when my laptop runs from battery when I'm watching YouTube videos and browsing. But YouTube when power adapter is ON, Firefox uses above 2Ghz speed when watching YouTube videos and browsing some web sites.

I live in the sticks and get my internet via satellite. Sometimes it's acceptably fast and I can watch a video, not live, but after only a short wait to download it.

I have Tranquility Reader extension, and this is very useful. But whenever possible, I'd like to be able to see images, ads, and whatnot. Is it possible to automatically activate an extension, this extension, when my download speed is less than 10Mbps.

Can this be done currently? If so, how? If not, would you be able to notify me if this feature is ever added or something similar.

I have got a problem with Mozzila for like a year or two - most of the time the browser is fast and react imidiatelly, but sometimes when i click on any link it only shows grey loading circle in tab name and took about 8-10sec to stop and not load anything. When i try again, linked website is loaded imidiatelly. This happening like aprox. 4-5 times in an hour of browsing web, but sometimes its all good for few hours. Opening even new tabs doesnt help and they are "stuck" in loading for the same time. Then, after that 7-10secs all of them works fine. (When i open new tab and wrote something when it is "stuck" and then when it unstuck then it deletes all what i have typed in adress box and whole tab is in default state). When i close and open Mozilla it works fine but again, just for some time (random duration..). Sometimes, it loads like half page (for example, images are missing).. when i reload site after "stuck" then it loads perfectly fine.

Im using pretty decent PC: Ryzen 5 5600X, HyperX 32GB RAM DD4 3200Mhz, Samsung Nvme SSD 3.0 512GB (now changed to WD black Nvme SSD 4.0 1TB), Aorus RTX 3070, ASUS B450-F Gaming MOBO with 1gbit ethernet card, Win 11 Pro.

Got best internet provider in area (almost no outage, like 1 outage in 2years) - got 1Gbit internet speed (Ookla speed test shows 900Mbit+ download and upload, with ping avg. 0,6ms

I am assuimng, that all components are good because when i play online games for hours it never disconnects or lags or anything, same is for downloading stuff, VPN connection etc...

I have tryied yet (was testing with VPN or other stuff off): 1. clear cache/cookies 2. update Windows / drivers / BIOS 3. reinstall Mozzila without loggin in / importing stuff (few tries) 4. reinstall whole PC 2 times (with changing name of PC), 1x try using Mozzila without even logging in (so absolutely clean Mozzila and Win) 5. update router, reset router multiple times 6. set DNS from auto to Google ones (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.), in router and in PC 7. turn off antivirus and firewall 8. was using many diffrent versions of Mozzila cose it happening like for 1-2years now

Got laptop with same Mozzila acc linked in and synced and there are no problems even in same network / same cable connection

Was trying to google some help or browse your site but there are mostly only common things which I alredy tryied..

Was not using other browser, cose I am used to use Mozzila (suggestions, looks, etc...), so i am trying to avoid solution to change browser...

When use chrome I can double click with select IP address. But It's only select one number in Firefox. I think the chrome behavior is more compatible habits of people.

I know layout.word_select.stop_at_punctuation config . But It's not. In chrome, only dot will be part of number.

for example: this is a IP: 1.1.1.1, you can try it.

in chrome will get: this is a IP: "1.1.1.1", you can try it.

but in Firefox only select 1

My account was hacked and as a consequence I must go through GOTCHA. I have never had an issue with over use of the site; consequently, I would like the GOTCHA requirement removed.

Now, I got quite the few extensions, up to the amount, these cannot be brought into the Extension Bar. I could be wrong, however, there are possibly others with this issue.

Now, my question is, if Firefox could add a Grouping system within the Extensions Bar, basically drawers that you place on the Extensions Bar, which can be named (like "Writing Tools", "Saving Tools", ... .), and which act as drop-down menus, in which the extensions you placed in this drawer, to be listed when clicked? It would also clean up the Extensions Bar for people like me with many extensions, make it far more orderly ... .

Or, is there an extension which allows this?

So recently i downloaded Mozilla firefox on windows vista which is a old version and i had also downloaded the same version on windows 10 now the problem is that the browser in both the computers are using profanity such as "porn" i am 15 and i am not Ecstatic and now when i try to delete it i cant its using way too many vulnerable language and also it says welcome humans we come in peace and I had downloaded from this site "https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/". That is my problem i hope u find a solution and ping me on my mail. Because of which my laptop is not even running. After this incident i dont even know if i will use mozilla any more. Thank you

bold textA important web site (eBay) is in my blocked list I did not add it to the listing,so I remove it from the blocked sight list and it comes right back as blocked.Is it something in my Firefox settings or possibly malware?Should I uninstall Firefox and reinstall? Need some advice please.

I have both Windows and Firefox listed for Firefox as my default browser. I have checked every default app and extension type and they are all directed to open in Firefox. Yet when I click on a web link using Firefox, it opens in Edge. Any help or insight into this is appreciated.

Not sure which is the cause. On multiple laptops and desktops after last Windows 11 update and then an immediate Firefox update, the software protection service of Windows 11 goes into high cpu mode consuming 40-50% of cpu when Firefox is opened. Running Firefox version 122.0 (64-bit) version. Tried in safe mode and still having issue. Just an FYI for developers to look into for next Firefox update.
