The last couple of days I've had a couple instances where firefox crashes in a way that i don't immediately notice except for the fact that all extensions stop working until i either manually turn them off and on again via the addons and themes menu, or turn the browser on and off.

The crash id's ive gotten are

Can't erase bookmarks on top tab. Can't open bookmarks files on left toolbar

In the last month or 2 when i search in google (using mozilla) and click on any results that show in the top/ads section>>> I receive the following Bitly error.

"Something's wrong here. This is a 404 error, which means you've clicked on a bad link or entered an invalid URL. Maybe what you are looking for can be found at Bitly.com. P.S. Bitly links are case sensitive."

I never had it in the past and if i copy/paste in Microsoft Edge>>>it works. It is really annoying and if i can't find the answer> I will be forced to change browsers! (which i dont want to do/been with Firefox/Mozilla forever!)

Firefox is current on updates, but when bookmark menu drops down, touching the screen only causes it to race to top or bottom of the list. It does not allow my finger to scroll through the list

Outgoing email (write,reply) on webmail1.earthlink.net does not work on Firefox. If I use Chrome it does. Any ideas? I am using an HP desktop and Windows 10.

A Secure Connection Failed error page will include a description of the error and a Try Again button. There is no option to add a security exception to bypass this type of error.

When I log into amazon with mozilla and try to search for an item, amazons reply screen, on my windows 10 computer screen, goes black. When I do the same login sequence using google, everything works normally. I prefer using mozilla . This is a recent problem with mozilla that started two weeks ago. I need this fixed. I don't want to change browsers but I use amazon frequently. Thanks for your help.

Hi I'm using version 108.0.1 and have noticed when trying to play videos on YouTube I get an error message saying "if playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device." I have tried clearing all cookies, removing all add-ons, running the browser in troubleshoot mode and reverting back to an older version (107.0.1) with nothing seeming to work. I have encountered a similar problem when using Sound Cloud where the song i try to play doesn't load and it continuously skips to the next track until i press the pause button.

This also isn't an issue with the account I'm using as the same happens when logged out and playback works fine on the same account on different devices.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am running a Microsoft Surface running Windows 10. I think there was a system update yesterday. Since then, there are some sites that when I log in to my account, I get part of the way there, but I get bounced back to the main landing page of the site without logging in.

I am able to get logged in using Microsoft Edge or if I use Firefox on an iPad. Just not on the Surface.

Is there something in Firefox that isn't playing well with the recent update to Windows 10? Any idea if there's anything I can do other than use a different browser?

I have a form using a single page app and AngularJS code. There are two versions. One version has the master page an ASPX page. The other version has the master page a HTML page. The form has a single input text box which is the user enters criteria for a search. The submit button executes an AJAX call with the user’s text.

The names for the input text box and submit button is the same for both forms.

For the ASPX version, autofill recognizes and stores new values and shows them the next time the user puts his mouse in the textbox.

For the HTML version, autofill does not store any new values. It does show existing values stored by the ASPX form.

A hypothesis is there is something in the HTTP Request/Response going to the ASPX master page behind the scenes that activates autofill save code that is not getting activated by the HTTP Request/Response going to the HTML master page.

Whatever the problem is, is there any JavaScript code I can execute to activate this autofill save new values code?

Any explanations, solutions, or suggestions are welcome.

I want to disable firefox' form history so I don't see the drop-down menu for email addresses I could enter into forms. However, I do not want to disable search history. In the settings, I only have the option to enable or disable both (see the attached screenshot).

I would appreciate it if search and form history could be disabled or enabled separately.

The reason this is important to me is that when logging into websites, I often use [personal handle]+[website]@[email provider] as my email address so I can avoid spam if that site's data gets leaked. However, firefox' form history stores each +[website] as a separate entry, resulting in an impractically long drop-down menu. While it doesn't break anything, it does mean choosing between not using search history or having my screen fill up with a large, useless, attention grabbing drop-down element every time I have to log in.

hi, I am having trouble with facetime on facebook. the other person can see and hear me but I cannot see or hear them. my camera and microphone settings are enabled for facebook but i found that autoplay had block microphone and camera was showing after your update. so I set it to allow and facetime worked perfectly. today i came online and checked all settings were correct and they were, so I went to facetime to my sister and the same problem is back. I cannot hear or see them but they can hear and see me. what is going on firefox, why isn't this working when it shows that my camera and microphone is allowing permission for facebook.

This is why I have not used Firefox. I try it and have issues accessing sites. I went to hulu.com enter id and password and got this: 502 Bad Gateway nginx.

Tried it with google and no problem

I'm seeing some very weird behavior and want to know how to troubleshoot it.

A specific website (pfSense admin) sends a form to edit some parameters. The form contains input fields like

   <input class="form-control" name="mac" id="mac" type="text" value="a4:bb:6d:e3:46:da" placeholder="xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx">

What I see in my Firefox instance is that the value is missing. Examining the source it looks like this:

   <input class="form-control" name="mac" id="mac" type="text" placeholder="xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx">

The `value=` attribute has been surgically excised.

What I have done:

• Accessed the same website in MSEdge - The values are present
• Dumped the page source from both MSEdge and Firefox and compared them. Apart from a couple of expected differences (CSRF token), the resulting HTML is identical except for the missing `value=` attribute.
• Started Firefox in Safe Mode - Same problem
• Examined the data stream in the Network tab of the developer tools - The `value=`attribute is missing even this early in the process.

Finally I created a completely new Firefox profile, and voilà, it works.

So the question is what setting in my default profile could possibly have the effect of making that single specific change to the data stream? Based on the Network trace, whatever is doing this is occurring extremely early in page processing.

How do I troubleshoot this?

I recently had all of my addons disabled, and I think when that happened, it also caused all of my browsing history to no longer show. I didn't realize this until i reinstalled some of my disabled addons. I was wondering if someone could go through with me an easy way to restore my history and addons? I did some searching beforehand, and I currently have 2 profiles, and for the more recently edited profile, there is a corrupted places file. I was wondering if someone could explain what I should be doing to be able to restore as much of my old history as possible? Thanks! I attached what the corrupted places file looks like, and what the disabled apps section looks like.

I just downloaded firefox, I switched from chrome now that the new anti-adblock update is coming out. As such I'm trying to used to the new browser and set it up to my preferences.

So far I've had some problems, and I'd be thankful for any help I could get.

Firstly, when zoomed in using application menu, the scroll does not adjust the amount scrolled. For example, let's say the standard lines scrolled when i scroll with my mouse is 4. It's still 4 when zoomed in, as if I was still at 100%. This makes it scroll further down than needed, and to a person who likes to read, bothering. I presume there is an solution to this, as this doesn't happen on chrome for me. I tried checking out about:config and change mousewheel.default.delta_multiplier_y from 100 to somewhat lower.

This made all scrolling way too slow, even if only slightly lowered. And the amount scrolled normally isn't the problem, the problem is the amount scrolled does not adjust when zoomed in, still scrolling as if I was on 100% zoom instead of 250% zoom.

Second question, is there a way to change the default zoom percentages. Instead of 100-110-120-150 ect... to 100-120-150-175-200-225-250 and so on.

Thirdly does firefox automatically have tabs sleep when not in use to save ram. If not, where would I activate it?
