When I try to play Netflix from my Macbook and onto to my smart TV via my Apple TV device, I find that I can hear the sound but cannot see any picture. The set-up used to work fine until I up-dated to the latest version of the Firefox browser and then the picture disappeared. I have a second Macbook on which I'm running an older version of Firefox (from April'22) and this is still working fine with Netflix/Apple TV connection etc., i.e. picture and sound working well. Has anyone else had this issue.

Btw, I can have both picture and sound on my Macbook screen if I don't connect to Apple TV even when using the latest Firefox version!

I recently had all of my addons disabled, and I think when that happened, it also caused all of my browsing history to no longer show. I didn't realize this until i reinstalled some of my disabled addons. I was wondering if someone could go through with me an easy way to restore my history and addons? I did some searching beforehand, and I currently have 2 profiles, and for the more recently edited profile, there is a corrupted places file. I was wondering if someone could explain what I should be doing to be able to restore as much of my old history as possible? Thanks! I attached what the corrupted places file looks like, and what the disabled apps section looks like.

I used to be able to save the current page as web page, HTML only and then open that page in Firefox. Now I can't. If I choose 'text' as file type, that is also unreadable. A possible hint: the file saved as HTML only has a Microsoft Edge icon.

No matter what I do, I get this message when I try to connect to the internet with Firefox: "Unable to connect An error occurred during a connection to www.nytimes.com.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.”

It asks me to try again, but it still fails to connect. My other web browsers are not doing this. They are working well.

I wonder if I have accidentally disabled the app.

I am using Firefox 108.0.1 (64 bit) on a Macbook Pro. It looks like the latest update produced a change. When I look along the dock most, but not all, of the minimized browser windows show as Mozilla Firefox whereas others show the name. In the past, all windows showed the name (e.g., Oultook email, or name of the google doc, name of the website, etc.). Is there a way to fix this? Or is this a bug in the latest update to 108.0.1 that will be fixed with 108.0.2?

Not seeing the window name means I need to pull up every open window from the dock to see which window is which. Mostly an annoyance but a new annoyance.

I´m using Firefox since many, many years ago. Some days ago I have install this web browser in an old Desktop PC, a Compaq Presario, working with Windows 7 Professional x64, an Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 of 1,87 Ghz, 4 Mb of RAM, 1Gb ethernet adapter with a 1 Gb Router LAN ports and an Internet connection of 300 Mb. Using the same Internet speed test I have observed the following results in differents moments of a day:

Firefox Download speed 130 Mb Opera Download speed 210 Mb Microsoft Edge Download speed 220 Mb Google Chrome Download speed 270 Mb

Firefox can work faster (near the 300 Mb of the Internet provider) with newer Intel processors (Intel i7, for example), but with older Desktop PC its seem not possible. I hope this information can be useful for future developments to allow Firefox to work in a wide variety of Computers.

I use Bank of America online banking and have for years. Yesterday, all of a sudden, Firefox stopped letting me input anything in the password field. This happened on 3 different computers, 2 running Windows 11 and 1 running Windows 10. The 2 running Windows 11 also use the Mozilla VPN. BofA online banking works fine in Edge and Chrome - this is only happening when I try to log on using Firefox.

Hi, i am wondering if there is a cache setting maybe, or something that causes this behaviour: -Set a custom icon/link to a tile. -Reopen browser -Tile does not imediately show the custom icon.

I think it would make sense to cache these images and have them load up right away, but it seems it tries to get the image from the link at every start.

Am i doing something wrong?

I use text expander and google forms as a large part of my workflow, and whenever I need to write anything additional in the text that has been imported from text expander, the browser shifts the text entry screen to the top. I then cannot see anything above where I am typing.

I bought a new laptop and installed firefox on it. I tried accessing the gmail.com account but it keeps showing me this page https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050?hl=en. I have tried severally but can't access my gmail account.

Firefox 108.0.2 updated on Windows 10 PC desktop.

How to I get Firefox to remember settings when I'm watching videos on Dropout.tv, Netflix, Britbox streaming sites? Every time I continue on to the next episode I have to reset the volume level and closed caption setting as if I'd just loaded the site for the first time. Is there some way to tell FF to save the settings?

Hi, I recentky updated Firfox but tried to log into my online banking account at TSB but the Bank page greys out once the login button is pressed, Prior to this the main bank page is bright and accessible as it allows for the Login button to be clicked

So the problem is that the address bar auto completion suggests a shortened version of the URL that is actually in my history.

Example: I type in "mail" into the address bar and it it wants to auto complete to: mail.proton.me/ "mail.proton.me/" is not in my search history, but "https://mail.proton.me/u/0/inbox" IS in my search history.

This is not the only site firefox does this with. It seems like firefox automatically removes the path from the URL which is quite annoying. I want it to suggest what is ACTUALLY in my search history, not some shortened version of it. Is there any way to stop firefox from doing that? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
