l have had numerous problems with passwords not being accepted, and also when l needed help for the reason is that la am82 years old and l am realy trying hard to understand progres however l can usualy get by. However when l need help it is not forthcoming where as it used to be.

I am on Linux using Firefox 140.99.0esr.An entry in my name has the wrong state,i cant tell which one.. I cant scroll to the right to fin d it and i would just like to be able to search for bogus entries using a standard text editor

After the version 149, a very strange issue happens to me with Firefox. When I try to log in to some services (Google account, WhatsApp, Mozilla account) the browser freezes. That does not happen if I turn the hardware acceleration off so I essentially thought there is some issue with my graphics drivers which I then updated (Nvidia 580.142 drivers for Geforce GTX 960). But what is very strange is that the issue isn't present when I use Firefox in private mode! That means: Normal mode, HW acceleration on -- freezing Normal mode, HW acceleration off -- not freezing Private mode, HW acceleration on -- not freezing I switched to the ESR version now which works fine too. Still, I am curious about what is going on and I would like to find a solution. My system is fully updated Arch Linux. I cannot share my data since I can't log in to my Mozilla account. I am not a computer nerd I can only describe what is happening. I am addicted to puzzles and do them every day but am encountering problems nearly every day this week of the puzzle pieces not responding to mouse and have to shut down the computer. At other times I am kicked out of the site and returned to my desk top. No amount of trying to then get back into firefox is useless until much later on. Why is this happening?

I used to paste a text selection (temporary clipboard) into the URL bar and it would replace the loaded text/url. Now, it inserts it to the existing content at the point of the cursor. Why does it do it now? Is this an option i have to disable or is it a bug?

This is on v151 now

On Linux Mint 22 on my desktop, the buttons in the RH top corner are tiny. I have measured the minimise line and it is under 2mm long.

I have tried various searches to see if these controls could be made larger, but most questions suggest changing the theme. I don't want to do that, and I'm sceptical that it would make any difference anyway.

Has anyone got any suggestions how they could be made bigger?

I'm using the MATE desktop.

I have Firefox set to "ask me every time" what to do with doc and docx files. When I click on one, I get the popup shown in the image. As it shows, for some reason, okular (a pdf viewer) is shown as the pre-selected "open with" option. The dropdown menu also includes LibreOffice Writer, and says (correctly) that this is the default program.

I cannot find any setting on my system where Okular has been associated with doc files. So I think this is a Firefox problem.

How do I remove Okular from this dropdown, or at least make LibreOffice Writer the default pre-selected option?

If I open a tab to a specific google sheet I use it won't let me use the split view option (it's greyed out)

I would like to be able to split view the sheet so I can keep an eye on the running totals while I am entering data elsewhere on the sheet.

Split View is enabled and works on other tabs

I like having the shortcuts to regular sites on the home page, but its usefulness is spoiled by every site I momentarily visit also appearing and replacing my pinned sites. This renders it basically useless. Can we please have a way of removing 'visited sites' from the shortcuts.

I've file download feature in my web application. When polling of file percentages is complete i am sending file to the client (browser) But in fire fox it downloading an .html file instead of actual file. Whereas in chrome it working as expected.

Its not a new issue that I am raising but facing this issue many times just could not get the time and was not sure why it was happening. So, I use Firefox's Container Extension and logged in to two different accounts from both the containers. So, if am closing the browser and have not closed the tab that has the logged in account attached it would be log me out the next time I open the browser. In fact, it logs sometimes log me out of the account that is open in the other container. Although there's catch in it, if I rather closing the tab I put all of them in a group and close the group and open a new and then close the browser then everything would be fine but if somehow I miss it, its certain that I am going to be logged out for sure. Sometimes, in some of the sites, last time as far as I can remember I have been logged out of all the accounts. I don't its something to do with firefox or extension but just wanted to raise the issue.

The username for some website might contain sensitive private information like phone number, identity card number, etc. It would be better if the primary password is required before revealing the password manager page.

Recently I have a problem with toolbar and in the Firefox browser. Usually I have 3 display (display from laptop and two monitors). When I use Firefox browser on the main display the toolbar very often is not working correctly.

Mainly the problem is with the folders inside the toolbar, so when I hover any folder, the bookmarks saved in that folder don't appear or appear for just one/two sec, then they disappear.

The second problem is when I have the firefox open on the second display (or on the laptop display) and I moved any tab (only the tab, not entire Firefox application), then my toolbar shows only the first bookmark that is saved on my list.

In attachments I added two ss (one is with my normal view on toolbar, and the second one is with the only first bookmark)

I use the current version of Firefox on Ubuntu 22.04 Linux. When I scroll down past the individual bookmarks at the end of the menu, the folder names start repeating, along with the bookmarks inside them. I have three or four sets of bookmarks and would like to have only one. How can I delete all the bookmark folders below a certain point? By the way, when I install a new, different version of the operating system and sign in Sync restores all the bookmarks.

I would like to allow or block extension for certain site.

What i need is: 1) Turn on extension on specific sites (like for government) 2) Do not load extension on specific sites
