I have been exchanging long emails with a vendor. Now I want to print all of the entire emails, but when I open the "chain" of the 23 emails, I see a few lines of text, and there is a small box that says "additional text hidden" or something similar. How do I expand each of the emails and print the whole email for each of the 23? Thanks.

When I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox (September 12, 2023 release - 117.0.1 (64-bit)). I could not connect to the Internet with Firefox (Default Browser for Windows 10). I could connect to the Internet with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. After several hours of troubleshooting, I discovered that I had to: (1) click the Firefox menu button, (2) click Help, (3) select More Troubleshooting Information, (4) click Refresh Firefox ..., and (5) then click Refresh Firefox in the confirmation window that opens. After that Firefox closes to refresh itself. Then I can use Firefox to connect.

Please explain why must I go through this process now, in order to get Internet connection? Additionally, it took me a few hours to discover this process. It was NOT easy to find.

Is there another process that is more straight-forward?

Is spell-checking done locally on my computer, or is it done on the Mozilla website? I just found out that the Chrome and Edge browsers send my typed message to the home office, and that is where the spell-checking is done. Can I assume that this process is done locally on my own computer with Firefox?

I've been paranoid about security for many years, and every little bit of info I can add to my personal well-being lets me sleep that much better at night.

I am currently 82 years of age and have been using Firefox since it first became available, just because of its advertised security features. Quite happy with it and hope it stays on top of my needs.

And I have the same question regarding Thunderbird and its security properties.

Nightly started to give me an eye blinding bright white backgrounded settings side bar. Why? And please please please, how to set it back immediately? I've checked in about:config with the word "color" - but couldn't figure which would it be?

So, here's the story:

My browser crashed while watching a video and writing a particularly lengthy YouTube comment on it. Knowing that I have been able to recover in-progress Reddit comments after a crash from the sessionstore-backups so long as I was on the page at the time of the crash, I know that at least one site saves all in-progress comments to that, and I highly suspect that is where in-progress Wikipedia edits are kept, I (wanting as much data as possible for as good of a recovery chance as possible) immediately copied all my Profile files, totalling more than 1.6 GB, to a non-volatile folder.

As I had done before, I took the most recent sessionstore-backups file (dated to the exact minute of the crash), forced it through the Session History Scrounger to decompress it, and then mass-replaced the document's \ns with proper newlines in Notepad++, which used to make the file more readable.

This time, it didn't. They must have changed the json newline formatting used between at least late April and now. And more importantly, when I searched through the file for keywords I used in the comment, I couldn't find it. Simply, it appears that in-progress YouTube comments aren't stored in that file.

So, where are they stored? Are they in any vaguely human-readable file (or file that can with some ease be converted into something vaguely human-readable)? Can I somehow revive a "zombie session" using just archived Profile folder data to copy it out of? Or should I just give up and rewrite the comment from scratch?

NOTE 1: This is adapted from a previous post made with an associated account on Reddit. As I fear using Firefox until I get this problem resolved due to the possible loss in ability to recover other data if I do so, I figure that giving the problem more attention here would be beneficial in resolving it more quickly.

NOTE 2: Also, to clarify, I don't need to restore the session and have the comment re-appear; I'd be fine with locating it in a text editor or similar program so I could copy it back into the submission box once the session is restored.

I tried to log onto Youtube so I could make a few comments on a football game. They had to send me a code to my email (HOTMAIL) BTW I never received a code to LOG into YouTube. I used "Snip & Sketch" as I have many many times before but now I open a photo to edit it and Microsoft has taken over my photos. I mean as far as my editing capabilities. I've tried all the "OPEN WITH" options but can not get to the basic photo editor. Need some help here... Thanks in advance Steve

I have been having this issue for such a long time now but its really getting ridiculous now, I have tried to follow so many guides and re-installs and .XPI installs and nothing is working, I am beyond stumped as to what can be the problem, someone please help me fix this.

Following this guide

Added some extensions (core/distribution/extensions), added autoconfig (js in core/defaults/prefs and cfg in core), put a user.js in core/defaults/profile with a userchrome.css in core/defaults/profile/chrome)

Then repackaged (step 4), did step 5 and 6 however when the newly formed installer is run I get a 7-zip error saying "the system cannot find the file specified". The originally installer works so it must be something that I am doing

Dear Sir/Madam Hi I live in Iran and I use the lovely FireFox browser for many years I have got in the trouble with Logins and Passwords on my browser. Last day, when I was working with my laptop while the Firefox browser, the Acrobat Reader DC and a text document were on the background suddenly I had to restart my laptop. after that, when I wanted to use the FireFox, I found out that all of the saved logins got lost and now there is no saved logins on my browser. I logged in my FireFox account again to recover the lost information, but unfortunately that was useless.

I have many important saved logins and passwords on my browser. Is there any solution? I need your help to solve this issue.

In settings it use to say "open links in new tabs" now it just says "Open links in tabs instead of new windows"... what happened to "open links in NEW tab"? That would be the preferred option. When I'm in a tab and there's a link I click on I do not want to lose what I'm currently in, I want the link to open in a NEW tab. This has really gotten annoying!

It would appear that there was an update in the past 24hrs because my tabs appear different (rounder). However, now my bookmarks drop-down menu is all different and messed-up, and I can't delete the things added. Please see the screenshot enclosed...

I now have "Manage Bookmarks" at the top - which is fine. I have "Other Bookmarks" - which I thought I killed a LONG time ago. I have an ADDITIONAL "Manage Bookmarks" at the bottom - which seems redundant, and excessive.

I've done my homework, tried tinkering with old solutions. I cannot delete, move, rename, hide or change any of these. I would ideally like to remove everything except the 1st "Manage Bookmarks" at the top. That seems reasonable.

I've noticed that Firefox becomes less and less comptatible to websites as time goes by. My last example : https://www.registreentreprises.gouv.qc.ca/

At first, I thought it had to do with the privacy features and all, and still think it does somehow. Some features just won't work, websites don't show some parts, etc. My first reflex until a few months ago was to try accessing later, maybe something is wrong with the website now and will work later... Later I end-up using Edge. Now my reflex is: let's check if it works in Edge... and it does! This is becoming worse; reaching the wanna drop Firefox all together point.

Websites are working perfectly in Edge or Chrome, but not Firefox. Firefox is no longer showing up as "approved" on most websites. Why is that?

As a long time user of Firefox, and monthly donator, I'm starting to get feed-up with this increasing problem. I don't have time and should not have to debug Firefox as a user. I just want to browse the internet, nor make a statement to the world that I believe Firefox is the purest. Browsers should just work 100%, that's it.

Please fix this.

Often, when trying to open a website, a secure connection error appears PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR

Please let me know how to solve the problem and whether it is on the browser side or, for example, on the side of the AVAST antivirus program. Greetings, Marek

According to this article I should be able to preview PDFs within Firefox. I am not able to, even in safe mode. See screenshot for my settings area. There is simply no option to set Firefox to Open/view PDFs.
