The configuration on page General - Connection Settings is set to Use System Proxy Settings. How can I find out I which proxy my Firefox browser is actually using?

Note: This very question has already been asked at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1208062. It has an answer which is marked as Chosen Solution although the question owner explicitly stated it doesn't answer the question, and indeed it doesn't because it just says to look at the configuration page which doesn't contain the information. That thread has been archived. Perhaps it should be deleted or at least the Chosen Solution mark removed.

There are more and more websites that have functions that no longer work with Firefox and force me to use Chromium instead. Do you if there is any chance that an upcoming release will put everything right?

Raspberry Pi 4B Raspberry Pi OS -- Fully updated OS. Firefox 78.9.0esr (32-bit) -- Latest and greatest for Raspberry Pi OS.

Some videos I am getting no sound. I try the effected videos in Chromium for Raspberry Pi OS and it works fine. I read about a possible fix and tried disabling hardware acceleration with no effect. I also blew out all the cookies,. history and stored site data. Each attempt closing and reopening Firefox. Same thing on the same videos, no sound in Firefox but fine in Chromium.

Any tips or pointers?

I am using a Desktop Windows computer and I am having trouble with 64 bit Firefox Version 87.0. For some reason I cannot play the sound in Instagram videos. All instagram videos will play but wil show the sound icon as muted and there is no way to click the sound icon which is shown in the lower right corner of the video to unmute it.

I disabled all the add-ons in firefox and I still am getting this problem. Chrome on the other hand seems to work just fine in playing Instagram videos with audio.

So what's up with Firefox?

I've seen the archived suggestions do disable quick find. They were to uncheck 'search for text while typing'. I went to do that and it was already unchecked. How can I disable this? It's a problem when doing math homework.

When I load google photos, Firefox is able to display the first few rows of photos fine, but as I scroll, the remaining images don't load. I've tried all the usual things, like disabling protection, restarting in safe mode and even clearing cookies.

Is there any way to fix this?

How to change print marigins units in new Firefox version? In earlier versions I did it like this: 1)about:config 2)print.pirnter_name.print_paper_size_unit = 1

This has been happening a lot using fire fox also my email yahoo keeps going off line at times I get a notice that says internet disconnected. but when use another browser this dose not happen getting a little fed up with fire fox.

I'm an avid user of Firefox latest on Manjaro, up to date.

Since yesterday, when I updated from Firefox 87.0-1 to 87.0-2, I have a strange bug using DuckduckGo.

What happens ?

• When on DuckduckGo result page, clicking a link won't open when using the "Open in another tab" setting
• I will open the link if that setting is not used
• I can open it in a new tab with the right-click menu, or by ctrl-clicking it.
• When hovering above a link, the bottom-left tooltip does show up and the cursor does become a hand, suggesting the link should work. Alas, it doesn't.

What did I try ?

• I did restart in "safe mode", with all addons disabled.
• I did reset the cache.
• I tried testing the same behavior on Google, and it did work as expected.
• I tried DDG in another browser (Gnome Web/Epiphany), and it worked as expected.

I have yet to notice the same issue with any other website. Any Idea where I should report this minor, but annoying but ?

I was using Duck Duck Go to search on subjects, and as I was looking at the pages it listed I suddenly could not open any of the links returned at all. I have Firefox set to open links in a new tab, but it stopped working suddenly, and would not open the links at all. Why might this be?

Microsoft updated overnight and today I can't get Firefox to work at all. Have downloaded/installed 3 times, but it just keeps searching for my bookmarked sites (gmail and comcast.net, for example). I have made Firefox my default browser. Any suggestions? I'm not sure I'll know if someone responds b/c I can't get into my email -- tho guess I could use Edge? I don't like using any Microsoft product ....

A "Voting" website that I normally access has changed their security. They require anyone connecting, to change their internet options to TLS. I have no clue how I would do that. I'm using Firefox on Windows 10. Detailed instructions for a "Dummy" would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I can access mewe.com with the last firefox, but only while browsing using the "private mode". All other websites are ok, only this one. When I enter the url "mewe.com", it switches to https://..... and then... nothing, no relad available, just a desperately empty page. Obviously, all other browsers don't have such problems.

Hey, my website "www.kosmetikstuebchen-nicole.de" is not correctly displaying in Firefox Browser. In Google Chrome, Opera and Safari there is no problem. You can see the problem on the screenshot. I still ask my provider "Host Europe" if they are able to explain, why during using the Firefox Browser the website is not correct. They just told me, that maybe there might be a problem with the accessability view, but they were not able to solve the problem! Is there anybody who can help me to solve that problem? Thanks a lot! When I use the download option to "Open with", in many cases a .zip file to be opened in file explorer, it does not open the file and shows this error that the file has been "moved or missing".

Hello, I am having an problem with my VPN. It was there and now it's not (I'm sure it must be my fault). I have signed out and reset multiple times to no avail. In settings it indicates it is on, however it does not give me the option to turn it off or on. In addition the icon on the Firefox browser also indicates it's on but the does not change color as before. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I have this option enabled, so when I open a new tab, it instantly switches to it. This works when I install Firefox, but it stops working later for some reason. I tried to start Firefox in safe mode under another profile (with no addons) didn't help.
