I am lost so request some expert help!!

I have had a few problems on my win 10 pro 64bit pc where my better half had hsd quite a few win profile logon errors. These hsve bern fixed via regedit until recently where nothing in the hive profile fixes it. (Hardware is fine and no malware just in case you wonder!) As a shortcut I have created a new logon to get the user up and running. Of course Firefox now does not have the old logon's profile available to the 'new' Windows user account.

So I have followed the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1065938 to copy over the firefox profile files to the created user's profile folder.

But this has not worked. No history, passwords, settings etc available to the new windows account, though it looks like the files have been copied however confusingly repeating exercise does not warn about file overwriting!

How can the profile be updated to get all the passwords and settings into the new account?

Notes: Windows and FF up to date. My personal account is still fine it's just the other user account that is the problem. Cannot logon to the other 'old' account to use FF built in profile management but it should be ok in the newly created acount.

In the past, putting a subject in the Firefox search box and choosing the ebay search engine opened ebay and passed the subject to the ebay search. This ebay page automatically came up with the ebay search results.

Not now. Putting a subject in the search box and choosing the ebay search engine opens ebay, but then stops.

My other search engines, Google, Wikepedia, Amazon, work as before and go direct to the search results.

Any advice on how to get the Firefox>ebay>search links to work as before?

I am on Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit) under Win 10

If I enter an argument in the Firefox search field and click on the eBay symbol in the drop-down menu, Firefox brings up eBay in the current tab but the argument I entered is not in the eBay search field so I have to re-enter it into eBay and click "Search". Firefox did not used to work that way, it used to bring up eBay with the search argument results.

The search works for my other search symbols (Amazon, Bing, Wikipedia, etc)

What happened to the print preview and print options? They just changed on my system. I can no longer print the page as viewed on my screen. Options are hard to change and image is cut off.

I'm running Firefox 84.0.2 and Dashlane 6.2051.2. Each time I exit and launch Firefox I must re-enter my Dashlane Master Password. Checking the box to "Keep Me Logged In for 14 Days" is not working. I have the same problem with both the new Web based Dashlane extension and the older Desktop Windows based extension. I do not have this problem with Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer. Not sure if this is a Dashlane or Firefox problem....

Some website pages are not allowed to automatically reload. I have to hit the Allow button to reload the page when it should be able to reload itself. How do I make automatic page reloading OK?

I am constantly seeing the yellow triangle with exclamation point in the menu asking me to reconnect to Firefox account. I click and reconnect -- still there. I reset Firefox -- still there.

An update of Firefox today left me with a toolbar with precious acreage devoted to the large, clumsy and unnecessary "Other Bookmarks" tab. I read on this help site the technical solutions, which are way over my head (it is not even remotely clear how to get an "address bar," much less enter software instructions in it!). For the rest of us dummies out there, can someone tell me if it is possible to get rid of this Other Bookmarks button? (I say it is unnecessary because clicking on the very compact right-pointing double arrow-heads always takes one to Other Bookmarks -- no need to waste toolbar space with the actual words!). I have not found any solution to this problem. In my view, it was a bad idea to "add" this feature--it should be removed in future updates!

Is possible to change names of connected equipment in Firefox account?

If I have open card in my f.e. home PC, and I want to send it to my another computer. OK - I can choose send to .... (I see full name of my another equipments).

BUT

If I want to do this from my smartphone - I don't know witch equipment I want to choose, because I see only this Send this card to "Firefox on equipment ..."

The names in Firefox on Android devices in this menu is to short to identification to which equipment I want to send this card (I have connected a few)

I can't find settings in Firefox account where I can do this.

So I think this is a big hardness to use this a very good idea from my android device

I am using Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit) on Win 10 Pro and the menu font size and toolbar icons are minuscule, even on my 32" monitor.

I found a fix for this same problem in Thunderbird, but I don't see any way to make the menu fonts and toolbar icons bigger in Firefox. This has nothing to do with web sites, just the menu/bookmarks, toolbar icons, etc.

I'd like to hide the title bar in Firefox. It takes up valuable on-screen real-estate, and doesn't really serve a purpose (other than showing a web page's full title, which I'm not interested in anyway).

In this screenshot, I have Firefox on the left, and Brave on the right. Now, I know it's only about 30 or so vertical pixels, but the title bar in Firefox is taking up a lot of space that could be used for actual web content.

Is there any way to disable this top bar? Or is it baked into the actual program itself?

Apparently Mozilla did an update and not it defaults to it's own printer dialog box. I hate it. There is a link to use the system print dialog box but it only works for that specific print job. I can't find a setting to force Firefox to always use the system printer dialog box. Anyone know how to fix this? It's enough to make me stop using the browser becasue thr Firefox dialog box sucks.

I want to restrict access to only one website on one computer.

For this, I use the add-on "Block Site", which works perfect !

But as it's quite easy to go to add-on tab and disable this add-on, how prevent this by locking access to add-on ??

Tried to search on the web, but nothing came up ....

PS: I don't want to change my theme to dark. It seems I have to change my css, but I dunno which & how.

Firefox 84.0.2 (64-bit) in Ubuntu 18.04

I often load pages with many tabs. These tabs are NOT refreshed when loading, so data may be days old. It's easy to think data is fresh, since Firefox just started, but WRONG !

This wastes lots of time, both in errors and manually restarting each of many tabs.

I need to find how to set Firefox to NOT use old data when it starts. I don't need to refresh every few minutes or hours,, JUST when starting.

HOW do I accomplish this ?!?

I would very much like to adjust the text zoom of my (updated current firefox) browser (to 170%) and the normal zoom to something around 130-150%. That would allow me to read from distance and use the whole screen. However, firefox only allows "text-only" zoom OR "whole site" zoom (in "about:preferences"). Is there an addon or an "about:config" setting where I could globally adjust text zoom and website zoom to distinct values at once (without setting "website zoom" to 100% for example, when adjusting "text-only")

I accidentally set a frequent website I use to always open in the wrong container. I do get the prompt about 'would you like to open this container in [wrong container]' and I click the option not to do so while also having checked the box that says to remember this decision, but the check box seems to do nothing. I've checked the box countless times to no effect. I seem to have permanently created this state which is highly frustrating. I don't want this site opened in any container. I have a lot of sites I've configured in what I'm terming here "wrong container" (though it's the correct for those other sites), so I don't want to have to delete the entire container to fix this problem.

I've had other problems with Multi-Account Containers (such as, tabs I've closed coming back like zombies after restarting Firefox; or Firefox seeming to forget that certain tabs were in containers and the act of clicking their tab to place them in the correct container causes them first to reload in the default of no container), but for now my biggest issue is not being able to remove a website from the "always open in wrong container" list. Where is the list of websites per container stored? Is this somewhere in the about:config or in a raw, human-readable file on my filesystem somewhere? How can I fix my problem without having to delete the container entirely?

I'm running FF 82.0.2 (64-bit) with Multi-Account Containers version 7.2.0 on Manjaro Linux version 20.2
