After last update V104.0.2 fire fox will not allow me to access router to change settings message given, unable to connect, can I revert to previous version of firefox as always worked before update

Every few days, Firefox makes me log back in again to my account and "create" a new profile version - the message I get is that I have launched an older version, and can only EXIT or CREATE NEW PROFILE. The problem is when I have to do this, I lose all the pinned tabs I had open, also I have to log into Gmail each time and generally set the profile up again. I can then access my bookmarks and containers but not the tabs I had open.

Is there a way to stop Firefox from forcing me to relaunch my profile each time? Its frustrating to lose the pinned data and have to log back into my Firefox profile, then Gmail, then try to figure out where I was at last. Note, the pinned tabs are not things I need to bookmark but rather a running list of tasks/things I need to complete - and unfortunately I don't know when I will be forced to launch a new profile but don't want to create a bookmark each time for temporary tabs... for example, last night I was just in the middle of planning a trip so had a few tabs open to come back to, but when I logged into my laptop this morning, I was forced to create a new profile and have lost these tabs I had pinned.

I had the PC at Staples to get malware removed. They also removed the AVG Anti-Virus and installed McAfee Anti-Virus instead. When I got the PC home, many of my Firefox settings had been changed, I don't know by what or whom. And my Greasemonkey and Adblocker extensions had been removed. I reinstalled those, but now cannot get my two desired scripts for Greasemonkey to download, let alone install. I also now have a message, "your browser is being managed by your organization." But this is my own PC that I use for both work and personal purposes. I've tried all the recommended approaches for removing the "organization" message, to no avail. Tech support from McAfee recommended removing and reinstalling Firefox, but I don't know if that is likely to fix the problem, and I would lose all my bookmarks, some of which are important for my work. I don't know how to save the bookmark links before trying to uninstall/reinstall Firefox. Need help.

Zoom not working correctly

I'm unable to maximize a specific website (Craigslist state home pages) correctly by zooming. The page opens at 80% zoom, which is too small to read. If I use the mouse wheel or control +, the zoom indicates 90%, but it's so large that only a small part of the text on the page is visible, and 3/4 of the page is blank space. It looks more like 300% even though it says 90%.

I can open the page correctly in full screen using F11 or the double-headed arrow in the upper lefthand corner, but then I don't have access to the menu bar. Is this a problem with Firefox, my computer, or Craigslist? I don't have this problem with any sites except Craigslist home pages.

Solutions I've tried: Clicked on maximize in upper righthand corner; used mousewheel and F11 to change zoom; cleared all cookies and cache, opened in troubleshooting mode, selected "Zoom text only" (made it worse so I deselected it).

Woke up this morning, opened up Firefox and the Trolls have been busy rearranging things during the night. My profile manager disappeared, but I was able to fix that. Now my tabs are out of place and I cannot find what to do to put the Tabs back on bottom, "The way they Should be". Help, please.

I can't find any way to add to the list of document types and applications. I know I must have done (because they are different from my wife's options), but now she needs to add one, and there is no immediately obvious way to do this. How do I add a new entry in the list in Settings/General/Files and Applications/Applications?

A few months ago when I updated to the latest version, as I always do, the bookmarks were not carried over. I restored to an earlier time to retrieve them and have been using an old version. Every time that I go to the program and when asked to update, I click "no." I am finding now that several websites will not accept Firefox. After 20 years of saving, I do not want to recreate, as I would have had to do at that time. Do I now upgrade to newest version and pray that my bookmarks are there?

Hello guys, this would be a little awkward. Since I've run into this problem a limited number of times and I can't reproduce it. But it does appear frequently and is very annoying. I had to ask here for advice and help.

The device I use is a MacBook, running the official version of Firefox, and as far as I know this problem has been there for at least half a year. I'm used to keyboard operations, usually I use Cmd+T to create a new tab, then the cursor is focused on the address bar, and I type the URL. Since I'm typing an address that I visit often, maybe I just type the first few letters, the URL gets autocompleted, and then I just hit enter and the page opens in my new tab. But sometimes I hit enter twice (eg not English input method). At this time, I noticed that in addition to the URL I wanted to open, there's an additional tab. This tab was blank, or the page I just visit.

From my personal understanding, I may have performed the above operations to create a new tab or clone a tab at the same time. But I don't think my operations will cause these to happen concurrently.

Below are the extensions that I have installed, in my impression I don't get this bug in Windows, but I don't use Windows a lot. In addition, my MacBook keys may be sticky, or it may be a system problem.

When using GMX and trying to open the Cloud screens I keep getting a Warning screen and the page won't open and then I am logged out of my acct. I have attached a pic of the screen print as I cannot seem to add the screen print in the system. I need help to correct this issue.

Hi everyone,

lately I started experiencing a font-family-related issue. On certain websites the font-families/styles look broken. I tried troubleshooting the issue by myself without any luck. What I did so far was reset my Windows fonts to default, reinstall Firefox and look what font-families are loaded through the Inspect tool. If I opened the same web page in Chrome the font looks OK. Two websites the issue is most visible at - support.fiverr.com and gmail.com when someone replies to my e-mail.

The Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies pane shows cookies currently being stored by Firefox.

If I close my browser, these cookies are automatically deleted. However, if I follow the steps on [1], the cookies are still there, and don't get deleted. *Why?*

Steps to reproduce:

- Start a new Firefox session
- Open Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies and see that the list is empty
- Go to youtube.com and click Accept All on the cookies popup
- Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies now shows a cookie from YouTube, as per the attached screenshot
- Go to Settings->Privacy & Security->Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Clear
- Go back to Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies and click on the refresh icon
- The YouTube cookie is still there
- However either of the following actions will correctly delete this cookie:

1) closing firefox (with Always Use Private Browsing Mode enabled) 2) manually deleting the cookie from the list in Developer Tools -> Storage -> Cookies

After the second to the last update to Firefox I started experiencing an information pop up message "Could not determine any profile running in backgroundtask mode!".

Is there a fix for this?

Hello All, I recently had to start up my brand new MacBook Pro up in "Safe Mode" to verify an unrelated problem. When I restarted my computer from safe mode, my Bookmarks were either gone completely or "empty" and I was apparently in a newer version of Firefox. I then trashed my Firefox application and tried to restore an older version via Time Machine and after I copy it to my Applications folder I get the message that I am trying to open an older version of firefox and then doesn't allow me to do that. When I followed the option to their extents, only the new version with NO bookmarks shows up.

How can I get my old bookmarks back?

Since last Friday I haven't been able to access any of my bank accounts with US Bank. I can access these accounts through my US Bank phone app and through Chrome when I use it on my laptop as browser. When I called US Bank IT they could not help because the phone app and Chrome worked. What's happening with Firefox? I have used it for years to get to these accounts, and now I am unable to.

Last night firefox v104.0.2 and windows 10 security update installed and now my firefox bookmarks are lost. I looked into my bookmarks profiles and they also seem to be cleared from my profile. Can they be recovered?

I want to know if there was any changes in recent tab cycling behavior? Now I need not press enter or click mouse button on one tab from list. Before there was instant tab changing after stop pressing keys (ctrl+tab). Greetings Kamil Tomicki
