I use tab groups to save work sessions so I can easily close and reopen them when I need them. I typically use the downward arrow to see all of my tab groups, however, when I opened my laptop today, there are only two tab groups there and no "show all" option. When I opened my laptop today, I did see that Firefox had been closed unexpectedly and the restore sessions option, which I used. The two tab groups I had open when I left my laptop opened again when I used restore sessions, but now those are the only two tab groups I seem to have. How can I get back all of my other tab groups?

Until the most recent version(s) (at least through 148), if I have multiple windows open, the restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) would open a closed tab in the previous window it had been closed in. Now, it opens the tab in whichever window I currently have focus on. It also used to remember the tab's previous location with regards to order among other tabs; now it opens it at the end of all tabs.

Example: I have two windows open, window A and window B. Window A has 5 tabs; window B has 10 tabs. I close tab 3 of Window B.

Old behavior: Pressing restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) would cause the closed tab to always open in window B regardless of which window currently had focus, and would open it between tabs 2 and 4, as tab 3 again.

New behavior: Pressing restore tab hotkey (control + shift + t) will now cause the closed tab to open in whichever window has focus, A or B, and open as the last tab; for instance, if I am in window A, it will open as tab 6, if I am in window B, it will now open as tab 10, instead of tab 3.

Is there any way to restore the old behavior? At the very least, to get the windows to separate out the restore tab lists? I don't want tabs restoring to incorrect windows.

I can not seem to find the button to open a saved, closed tab group. I have googled, and there seems to be a lot of people with the same issue. However, None of the information given under those forums provides me with a clear, easy solution. Please help.

I use the tab groups feature a LOT at work and have more group than available colors. I'd like to also be able to specify custom colors that suit my preferences (I like chartreuse for its high visibility).

like in safari, i had pinned the websites (as tabs) i visit regularly.

when i restarted the browser, all tabs were gone.

i have been using this feature in safari since a decade and no pinned tabs have been lost.

please guide.

I'm really enjoying tab groups, but there's a feature that seems broken. After restarting my browser, I'd like to reuse the groups I've previously created. It appears you've added a menu option for that: "Add Tab to Group" -> "Closed Group" Unfortunately, selecting that just closes the selected tab, rendering those closed groups permanently closed. I can go ahead and add my tab to a new group with the same name, but that creates a duplicate item under the "Closed Group" menu. After using the feature for a bit, I know how quite a long list of duplicate items under a totally useless "Close Group" submenu.

Where is my home screen start up tabs? I used to start up Firefox and my chosen tabs opened. Where are they? That is the reason I have stuck with Firefox all these years.

I saved and closed a few tab groups about a month ago and now they're no where to be seen. Nothing is in the down arrow on the right and I don't see any groups searching through history. The text when I closed them said I could re-open them at any time. Where are they?

How can I expand horizontal pinned tabs? This tiny icons that now appear are useless, especially if you want multiple Google tabs, i.e. for search, maps, mail, they all appear as the Google "G"

In Firefox 152.0.5 under Windows 10, when I hover the mouse pointer over a tab, a balloon pops up showing the text that is on the tab. I find this extremely annoying as I can read what is on the tab. I have searched on the Mozilla site, and I have searched with Google, all to no avail. How can I disable those redundant popup balloons?

Hi, My browser won't save the open tabs. I lost my tabs multiple times now, I don't even bother opening them back up now, but it's annoying. I have activated ( and disabled/enabled ) the setting to open previously open tabs on startup.

What can I do ? thanks

I have experience with chrome as i used to close the window then open i have my last session all the tabs occuring but in firefox im unable to do that even in settings of startup i have selected to open my previous tabs and windows but nothing opens just a blank screen also i cannot open recently closed tabs by command + shift+ T kindly help it is very annoying as i lose my presvous sessions again and again. I have the same issue as this person https://support.mozilla.org/kn/questions/1373153. I HAVE the "Open previous windows and tabs" option on, i also DON'T have the "Clear history and cookies when closing the window" nor "Clear history when Firefox closes" nor "Always use private browsing mode" on so the solution doesn't work for me. Firefox won't open previous tabs when i close the window. However upon restarting my PC i have noticed that when i start up Firefox, my previous tabs are opened. So it seems the action of closing the window is doing something to prevent Firefox from opening the previous tabs again.

In Settings I have checked the box to open previous windows and tabs and yet it doesn't open any of them .

This started happening after a ran a Norton Cleanup session. are there some Mozilla files I need to delete to reinitialize them
