Everytime I open Firefox a new window opens suggesting I add the AVG extention, when I do I get a notification that AVG does not support that extention for Firefox. Why is the nonsupported extention being recomened

I had implement service worker for install resources and activate service worker and fetch the resources at offline.

When online service worker worked and once serve the resources to the cache then it will be stooped automatically

but when offline service worker block the local host and can not cache resource from cache. I am using firefox

126 version on window 11 system

Any settings are required or help me what will do for offline working in firefox using service worker

Hey, I have been trying to figure out native Firefox solution for deleting firefox history after it's set number of days old. I did found solutions for older verions of firefox, and some addons, but nothing that's native or current.

I think having history is incredibly useful short term, lets say a week or some days, but I don't think I have ever had to dig trough my old history for something. Usually what you need is to find some page you closed recently or something. And while I would like to use deleting history after closing browser, it interferes with stuff that I'm logged in, reopening tabs after closing etc. And ofc, it actually deletes history which is useful short term.

This is both request for help and improvement. It would be nice to have option on "clear history when firefox closes" settings, to delete any selected data older than set number of days for instance. Or if there already isn't, something similar in about:config.

When I use Yandex.com, search results appear for a fraction of a second and then page goes blank (please see screenshot).

It is not a Yandex thing, since I can access Yandex search in Chrome. Also, as you can see from my screenshot, although I use Adguard VPN it is disasbled for Yandex.

This is new behavior. I already tried clearing the cache

PS: There was an old locked thread reporting disappearing search results about three years ago but the person asking for help said if he hovered his cursor he could see links. Nothing happens when I hover the blank page. It appears to be genuinely blank. Thank you.

When I open a locally downloaded pdf in firefox, the background is displayed as what was previously displayed on that portion of the screen, and scrolling simply overlays moved text over what was previously displayed. Does not appear in screenshots. One of the images shows what the pdf looks like prior to scrolling, and one after.

Firefox is synced on all my computers. Same version. Same extensions. I can't login on my primary desktop as of last night 5/23/24. I can login/watch Prime on my laptop. My desktop gives me the attached error.

Firefox's DNS over HTTPS is preventing my access to 2 websites I've used for years for booking golf tee times. The 2 sites are www.roosterrun.com and www.windsorgolf.com. I want to remove this feature and return my PC to it's previous settings. Please help. John Blevins bold text

I'm on Win11. The recent releases of FF seem to have disabled my ability (while in FF) to bring my mouse to the lower area of my screen to have the Win11 lower task bar appear. In order to get here, I have to shrink FF via it's upper right hand shrink button, then in the Win11 home screen bring my mouse pointer down to the lower screen area to popup that task bar. Gemini suggests there's a compatibility setting related to issues with high res screens that FF has... but I can't find this switch/setting... maybe Gemini is hallucinating about this. (Curiously, Gemini insists that this is not a FF issue... despite the fact that it's the only app on my PC having this issue).

I have two problems:

1. After importing bookmarks from html file i can not see them under search bar. only i can see them when clicking on Show your bookmarks /Ctrl+Shift+O/. Bookmark toolbar is checked into Always show Where is the problem?

2. Blank shortcuts of some websites, i tried to fix it with all methods but failed like: Deleting the IconCache.db file then restart windows explorer Command prompt sfc /scannow Command prompt dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth Disable tablet mode and Widgets

Hello, I am using Firefox for my company. We are using Quickbase system to access the data from internal server. Previously, I can allow Firefox to show the image that classified as unsecured context. I could see the setting option to allow unsecured pictures. But now I changed my account on my computer and when I use firefox, I can not see the image file from server and also I can not find how to allow unsecure picture. Is there way to set to allow unsecure stuff from Firefox? Please let me know.

I wanted to disable the "Moves the URL left or right". It turns out that this functionality won't be useful to me, but this shortcut is the one that I use the most :/

Hello, I was using Firefox to read my email at privateemail.com. When I attempted to save one of the emails to my Macbook (using an option in the window displaying the email), Firefox launched Apple Mail on my MacOS system. Apple Mail opened up with the email in one of its windows.

That is not the way it worked in the past. When picking "save to computer" in the web-mail interface, Firefox would open a SaveAs dialog box and allow me to directly save the mail to my computer.

I tested this behavior using Safari instead of Firefox, and that behaved as I expected. That is, Safari opened a SaveAs dialog box for me to use.

Is there a configuration parameter that was changed in a recent Firefox update? I am running FF 126.0 on MacOS 14.4.1.

Hi, there - Over the last few months, I've noticed some things that make it impossible to get to websites. I keep getting "Secure Connection Failed," for example, with getting to Chewy.com. I just tried to sign into the ssa.gov website, but it comes back repeatedly as "403 forbidden." And another big one is trying to get to outlook.com. It never fully loads. I cannot get my email. I've been having to use Edge more and more, and I don't like that for privacy issues. Also, sometimes I cannot finish buying things on some websites without changing over to private browsing. Thanks.
