The city that comes up on the 'weather' icon is wrong. I try to change it by following the instructions, but there is no drop down menu after I put in the correct zip code. There is no movement at all if I hit Enter or any other key. Please advise.

I would like to disable automatic session restore completely. When I restart my PC, crashes or anything like that, I do not want Firefox to restore my previously opened tabs or windows. When I open firefox after a system reboot / crash, I want to only open my default home page. Only if I manually click History > Restore Previous Session should firefox ever restore my session, otherwise never restore my sessions.

I tried unchecking Settings > Startup > Open previous windows and tabs, and also tried following this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1182594

My sessions still restores after my computer restarts or crashes.

Why do I want this? When I reboot my computer, I want a clean slate to start from scratch, not the dozens of pages (and other software) I had open from my previous session.

I am running linux mint btw.

My Mozilla Firefox bookmarks are Bookmarks 2025-07-22.JSON. They worked well on my older Dell computer. I bought a new Dell desktop computer. I am disgusted with Google. My bookmarks on my C Drive. If you can't help me reload those bookmarks, I may as well decide to delete Firefox and use another such as Total Browser. I certainly hope you will help me load 2025-07-22.JSON on my new computer - it is ridiculous that Firefox wants to put in the full address on the C Drive instead of simply loading those. On Firefox on my last computer I used News which was bookmarked Daily Wire, Epoch Times, Salem News Channel, God's World News, One America News, Washington Times, New York Sun, and local Sterling Virginia Weather. I also use biography sites https://www.Worldhistory.org and Britannica.com [both of which I pay for monthly, as https://www.wikipedia.org/. I also have a Biography folder with names from A to Z I also have many music folders 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, 1990's, 2000s, Music group and singers A to Z, Blues music, Bluegrass, Christian Alternative Music, Country classic, Country & Western Gospel, Folk Singers, Jazz, Motown, Soul and many others which I have gathered over the past 10 years

I am trying to upload a document on the Supreme Court portal (UK) but it won't work I am told because my browser has to allow pop ups and cookies. Where can I get Firefox to so allow?

Looking at my Firefox 147.0.1 settings for macOS 26.2 (Apple M1), I'm trying to adjust two settings:

-- I'd like to remove Languages -> English (GB) (its existence has odd side effects, like triggering United Airlines to offer fares in Pounds Sterling, and I'd prefer to just have English (US))

-- I'd like to disable Play Audio and Video for about:welcome (in regular and private windows)

I can see no way to accomplish this currently -- why?

What the hell do you guys do with the latest update?? My home page is all screwed up and does not look or act at all as my old home page. Apparently there is no way to go back to the "old" look and feel. Not a good decision. Seriously thinking of abandoning Firefox (since I used it in WIndows-7) for a browser that will make my life easier, not harder. At 81 years old I don't time to waste futzing around trying to get my home page to work. "Technology getting in the way of Life." I enjoy your brief weather update on your Desktop Home Page, but a suggestion would be to allow the user to add two or more locations for other family locations, vacation home locations or just other locations we love around the word.

General / Startup / Open previous windows and tabs is set off; nonetheless it opens them.

This is on 142.1.0 64 bit Windows.

How can we turn it OFF?

microsoft edge has AGAIN fouled up my entire system; nothing newsworthy there. i managed to get my 3 profiles running again, but my "tabs groups" feature is gone and i only have the tabs i put in available.

can anyone tell me how to get my firefox tab groups working again?

i do a lot of research online and had dozens of groups and hundreds of tabs. these are now not showing up at all.

is there some way to go back to a working firefox tab groups or which file they would be in, etc.?
