I'd been trying to download 2 large files from Icann and kept getting premature completion with Firefox. It would be showing ##MB of 356MB downloaded for a few seconds and then out of the blues it just says completed. As you can see in the shared video, I've tried this several times.

I thought that maybe one of the Firefox addons was causing the issue so I tried Troubleshoot Mode but that resulted in the same behavior.

I then went into Firefox Profile Manager and created a new profile. But that too had the same behavior - 🤔!

So I then tried Chromium. It completed the download successfully and the file passed gunzip test.

So, why is Firefox, even with a new profile, failing to complete a download?

When I try to download a statement from my bank I just get a blank page pop up. This used to work with Firefox and it works OK with Chrome. What has changed ...or is there a Firefox setting that is wrong?

This keeps happening - not an isolated incident.

The option to open a dialog box to upload a file becomes non-existent. Concurrently, I'm unable to download and save files.

This is resolved when Mozilla releases an update and I can update my browser. Then eventually something happens and the features stop working. It's like a download fails and then blocks further ones. However, there isn't something obviously stuck in my downloads history.

I can't seem to close my browsers and reopen it to fix, have to wait for an update but this always resolves it. This has happened at least a dozen times now. It is NOT my operating system.

This is wildly frustrating.

Недавно столкнулся с проблемой невозможности установки файлов из различных источников (не только с одного конкретного файла), сами файлы тоже разные, от папок до установщиков. Всегда один и тот же паттерн, сначало загружает 30кб, потом загрузка приостонавливается, проходит 3-4 минуты и он обозначается как "не удалось". Пробовал решить проблему, ничего не вышло.

I have been trying to save images from a game I play to file (locally). I've been doing this for years, but now all of a sudden within the last (week??) it's not doing it AT all.

For one thing it now opens my in-game image - into a whole new tab (which is absolutely bizarre and annoying!!)

When I DO go to 'right click' on this image to save, I have it PRE-SET to go to my preferred location to save as a PNG file.

I go to windows explorer and it's NOT there. I try it again! Saving it as a JPG, NOT THERE.

Restarted the browser... tried again (resumed the game, got to the place where I wanted the screenshot..it's an ingame 'screen shooter' that's worked for me for years in Opera and Chrome).

It GRABS the screenshot, no problem! But to save the image (no matter the file format) it WILL NOT DO ITTttttttttttttttt

I am going bonkers. I have double checked the file path. I've given it a VERY Specific name JUST in case if I DID save it somewhere 'stupid' lol!! I've checked my 'screenshots' folder! (Which is also bizarre to me!) These images *Are noooooooooowhere*

This is a very new thing for this browser (For me!)

i've gone through my Firefox settings insofar as I can see - with a fine tooth comb. I've cleared ALL CACHE and TMP folders, REBOOTED the system, restarted my browser (which is supposedly fully up-to-date! I Check on this *Daily*)

Can you please help me out here?? this is driving me bat sh*t crazy I'm the desktop PC/Windows 11. i've run scans for drivers! For any system updates! My browsers are ALL up to date!

I tried running this in Opera and it works!! But I need to keep things separate and chose Firefox for this particular game (in-browser).

I am at a loss and can't think of what else I can try to do! (if there's a setting I've over looked! if this is a known issue... I have lost the patience to try and filter through the help pages I'm so sorry) this has put me to my wits end.

Hi! I've recently found an issue with VirtualBox Extension Pack download in Firefox. Instead of downloading the file, it just shows me a web page with a lot of gibberish, like its trying to display the content of the file itself. I'm using Windows 11 and no extensions in Firefox. The only way i have for the moment to download that file is through Edge. Can you tell me why this happens? Beim Herunterladen von Dateien wird mir immer angezeigt "Originaldatei heruntergeladen. API Schlüssel ungültig. Lizenz überprüfen. Die heruntergeladene Datei finde ich aber nirgendwo. Was muss ich machen?

I tried downloading an APK from memesAPK] but Firefox didn’t save it properly it just showed up weird instead of a normal APK file. Has anyone else run into this or know how to fix it?
