Hi,

tab groups on Chrome/Edge really help me in my work. Once one subject is complete, I close all the related tabs. But I am a Firefox user. I do not want to move to a Goggle or MS product that wants me to sign in and collate all my data in one place.

I do not want to use a plug-in - I trust the code that Mozilla writes but struggle to trust code that a third party writes and also has a "Not monitored by Mozilla" banner.

As FF had this feature in the past, are they adding to the roadmap to bring it back in the future?

I added a plugin that enabled privacy.clearonshutdown for a number of settings and I have lost my Cache and History. Is there a way for me to restore that data? I haven't restarted my computer yet.

I was looking at other options: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1290163 and apparently there is an index.dat thing I could use as well, but I can't find it. I really can't afford to lose yet more data after my last mistake.

I am trying to grade online assignments that are either produced in Kaltura or with phone video apps. The current iteration 96.0/Windows 10 of Firefox does not allow me to view these assignments and offers a pop up that says these apps require me to use session cookies. How to I install them? Will that need to occur once or each time I try to grade a video presentation?

It seems your browser is blocking 3rd party session cookies which are required for the Kaltura application. To resolve this issue, please update your settings to allow 3rd party cookies.

By mistake I closed my window with many important tabs in it. I tried to recover it. it seems by trying to recover I also lost all my history. It seems that I did not following to instruction posted previously correctly. I would appreciate if I can get instruction in extremely easy and plain instructions how to recover.

I've tried everything suggested on this post: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1261652 to restore my backups and saved logins/passwords and continue to get 'Unable to process the backup file.' I even tried the tool from https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/bookbackreader.html and continue to get a failure message: failed JSON parsing: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected end of data at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data. I also tried the SQL query below and can't seem to restore my bookmarks/logins and passwords:

Help: no such table: moz_firefox_bookmarks

List table`s in datebase: demo

I'm not sure what else to try...Welcome any other suggestions/recommendations to get my backups restored since I have very crucial info on them for school.

Firefox doesn't automatically open in full screen anymore. I don't think I did anything for this to happen all of a sudden. It always opens now in a small screen in upper left corner. I have to click on the little double square symbol, then on the full screen square symbol to get a full screen.

I recently did a fresh install of my OS after setting up a colorway from Fire Fox. I was signed into my account when I made my theme choice, but I am locked out of the color scheme I had initially picked. The option for the theme has been removed from my theme manager.

I read [documentation] on the feature. What is going on?

Windows did an update and now my firefox background is BLACK! I don't like the dark. I've gone into windows setting and changed it to light. I've gong into languages and changed it to white background and Black Text. This has changed nothing! Please I'm so frustrated. I can't work like this!

i have ff latest version on windows 10 96.0.1 64b I have seen another entry in support about the same topic, but does not solve my problem when i logon to federal service with eid card they use a certificate when I changed my eid a new certificate was downloaded, and old is also available but when trying to login with new eid, error in edge i tried and there I get a prompt with certificates that exist and which to use : select new and ok I want to delete in ff this old certificate setting- security-certificates deleted the entries for citizen ca - close browser -open - they are still there I renamed also cert9.db cert8.db as in other entry : still there how to remove permanently these certificates to be able to login with eid or how to select which certificate to use thanks for all help best regards, Guy

To Firefox developer, please, REVERT THE DEFAULT THEME COLOR BACK TO LIGHT THEME. if you insist on introducing the so called "sleeker" dark theme or similar anti-mainstream things into future updates, MAKE IT OPTIONAL FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO TRY/USE IT... THEY CAN CLICK ENABLE/DISABLE-LIKE BUTTON TO SWITCH TO THE "SLEEKER" DARK THEME.

Please STOP setting-up anti-mainstream features AS DEFAULT.

I believe there are lots of people out there beside me who are also extremely annoyed about this theme color change. Sure, there is a workaround by tinkering the about:config 's layout.css.prefers-color-scheme.content-override section, but the annoyance to find out this solution, not to mention the difficulties faced by those who have less knowledge about technobable, is so bad.

Concern is whenever we perform banking or File Taxes information may be retained if we neglect to manually clear cache.

Firefox caused a refresh and now I have lost all my extensions etc. A. Why did it do this refresh? B. Is it time for me to now change to a better browser, as now I will have to find all re install all my extensions etc. This sucks big time..

Please let me know how I can get my old bookmarks as I do not have any on file in the restore area the only ones I have are five teen year old ones, Can you please help me restore them to the my original ones?

I updated to the latest version yesterday and now my Bookmarks ,History and a few other things have gone into Dark Mode. I really don't care for it and have tried looking into my settings but I see nothing that I can do to go back to the normal white. I am using Windows 11 on an HP All In One Desktop computer. Is there anything I can do to revert back to the way it was? Thanks for any reply.

After updating to the latest version on 1/11/22, many websites now will not load and display the error below. For some reason the google search homepage loads up, but after a search it will display the error.

This is happening to literally anything related to Google. Be it gmail, google forms, google docs etc. If I wait for 10-15mins then it starts working. Then after some time again this problem persists. This happening only in Firefox and not Chrome or related browsers like Brave. So what is the problem?
