Hello,

I really like using the "Shortcuts" (Top Sites) feature on the Firefox new tab page. However, there is one problem: Firefox automatically adds new shortcuts from recently visited sites.

I would like to keep only the shortcuts I manually pinned, without Firefox suggesting or adding new ones automatically. Currently, if I disable browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.feeds.topsites, all shortcuts disappear, and if I leave it enabled, Firefox keeps adding unwanted sites.

Could you please add an option to disable automatic shortcut suggestions while keeping only pinned shortcuts? This would make the feature much more convenient for users who prefer to manage their shortcuts manually.

I am trying to get thee group speed dial back that was on my computer today. i paid a bill tonight and when I was done the speed dial went away. I rely heavily on those pains. how do I get them back. I have been trying for 2 hours and can't understand what to do.

The articles cued up at the bottom of the start page is a great idea, poorly run. Why are all the sources so liberal and why can't I pick what I want to see? Axios, Time, the Atlantic, and the Guardian is not a balanced approach, even in the liberal world.

My homepage saved sites are just not showing anymore when I start Mozilla or open a new tab. They are still saved but they are not showing up at all, I have checked about:config and everything is still there. I have tried following things: 1. restart Mozilla 2. restart PC 3. refresh Mozilla (this worked... for 1 day, I had to manually put all the saved sites again but they again disappeared when I turned on PC the next day)

However, if I enter troubleshoot mode, everything is still there and working. So I assumed it is an extension or a theme problem, which would be a great solve if I had any really. I have no extensions and I use the same basic theme that I start with. So I tried disabling hardware acceleration, didn't work. I am running out of ideas really other than switching to Chrome at this point.

Why doesn't Firefox recognize my correct location? It gives me the weather for Chicago, IL on my homepage. I don't live in IL. MS Windows and Edge have my correct location, so why doesn't Firefox?

I have tried to change weather location on my Firefox homepage by putting in the correct town and state, then hitting the search icon but nothing happens, although once I was redirected to the AcuWeather site.

This is not that big a deal as I can get my weather on my Samsung phone, but it is puzzling.

A long time ago I was able to set the max number of rows for shortcuts on the Firefox home page to 5. Sometime fairly recently it has changed to 4. I don't know why nor can I remember which line in about;config I used to change it. I think the line was "browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.topSitesRows" but when I try to change it, it does nothing. At the time I first changed it, the max it would change to was 5. The max now appears to be 4 if I did it correctly. Your help would be appreciated.

Can I Manual Remove/Disable those pin Marker on Homepage ? I know it is usable to know what page we have pinned, But i want some change to prefer good looks for this. Just personal eyelooks. Thank You

Why have you added pins to each of the pinned apps on main page, its just more extraneous items not needed. that one has to ignore instead of the pins having anything to benefits anyone. We already know that these selections have been pinned.

Why add something has has no benefit and leaves one wondering why?

I updated (latest Firefox for desktop, but feels like I downgraded) and now my home shortcuts seem to have 4 acres of land (padding), each! Mozilla must think my shortcuts are thinking of starting their own space program or something.

Mozilla needs to stop doing these little things, and just leave them as options. Annoying to have to look through the terrible list to find what they changed. It's why I disabled updates in the first place. Too many changes by someone that doesn't physically interact with people in the real world.

Mozilla makes me mad how poor their design changes are. - Bad Mozilla.

It was suggested that the pencil icon was not enabled.

The pencil icon shows that the shortcuts are enabled in the "on" blue position - 2 rows. I also checked the shortcut box in the firefox settings home and it is "on " as well.

Tried rebooting my Dell laptop running windows 11 and still no shortcut appearance on the opening page.

After the update yesterday, all of the pinned icons/links on my home page have been rearranged or replaced with others. I restarted the computer and also closed the browser and opened it. Still messed up, I have several that are the same link and some that are missing.

Any way to get them back in order other than trying to figure out what is not there and resetting it all up again.
