Recently I am unable to pull up saved passwords when logging on to sites I use regularly. I can go to Settings, Privacy & Security & check the box "Ask to Save Passwords". The saved passwords then stay on even if I close & reopen Firefox. All is then well until the next time I restart the PC. Then it defaults back to an unchecked box. How can I set the PC so that the "Ask to Save" button stays on? Upgraded to Windows 11 about 1 month back. Thanks.

i have no use for the 'profile' tab on the tool bar, how do i perminately remove it? i can not drag it to overflow, it drags the entire toolbar. very frustrationg. also i have no need or use for 'open in split view' in the right click menu. all both of these things do is clutter up the tool bars. please make it easier to remove these things.

When I swipe to the left, Firefox navigates Back & when I swipe to the right, Firefox navigates Forwards. It is VERY ANNOYING!!!! It's really easy to do this accidentally while scrolling around a large web page. When you go back, it deletes all data that was filled out on the web form causing DOUBLE the work. These are technically two separate issues, but both pertain to functionality of the mouse and keyboard. Whenever I right click to bring up the menu, the options (despite being functional) do not appear in the menu proper. Instead there are just empty buttons. In addition, certain hotkeys aren't working at all. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy paste are doing fine, but Ctrl-T and Ctrl-W to open and close tabs respectively do nothing. Neither of these issues were happening yesterday.

Please add a Custom wallpaper options, Your browser has been the best so far i have used many browsers but i would love to have a custom wallpaper option and live wallpaper option too if possible just like operaGX has. Anyone can upload a wallpaper there.

System Windows 11 - Firefox 151.0.3 All normal actions from mouse right click have disappeared eg open link in new tab or private window, copy, paste etc etc. The Settings General - Tabs has not changed and previously worked rt click ok. Any help to restore the rt click function will be appreciated.

I use the middle button only for toggling auto-scrolling on and off, or at least that's what I want to do.

That works, unless I mistakenly (often) click the button while over a hyperlinked image or link. In that case, the link opens in a new tab which disrupts my workflow.

How can I set up the mouse in FireFox so that clicking the middle button will ONLY toggle scrolling on and off and never open a link that may happen to be under the cursor?

I've been looking for a solution for this online for ages, and hope there is a setting for this. It's a frustration many times daily.

(srry if wrong topic) basicly when i use the customize firefox tab it tells me about the overflow menu but when i try to add BUILT-IN tools like zoom control it just, not, and also the overflow icon apears gray'ed out,

if someone can help me with this then pls reply to this, ill come back to this post like a week later

Which implied a configuration file (sometimes named "autoconfig.cfg", "firefox.cfg", "local-settings.cfg" depending on the guide since the name is arbitrary) with javascript code. In the new Firefox 136, this code fails to execute due to a new API being used.

If you want to customize your new tab, follow the previous guide, but on the configuration file write this code instead:

I post this here in case someone has the same issue, because is quite recent and hard to find on the internet.

I opened Firefox today to find that nothing would show up, at first I tried clicking on the icon on the taskbar, but it just made the icon bounce with the window briefly popping into view. That's when I realized that Firefox was completely offscreen and unusable.

For context, last night, I had 3 windows open, two were regular sessions, the last one was a private session I had open on a temporary second monitor that I unplugged afterward. My dad lended it to me, so I'd rather not ask him again unless I absolutely have to. I closed them in order making sure to close the default window last thinking that Firefox would open there next time I launch it, but comes tomorrow and when I launch Firefox it opens off-screen and I can't interact with the window at all.

So, I'm commenting here via brave browser, first to report a bug because I don't think Firefox should remember the last position of a private window of all things, but also because I don't know where else to go to ask that question since windows 11 itself cannot seem to have an option to solve this problem either. I know the position is stored in the profile folder, so what should I edit in there to get Firefox back where it should be? No, I will not delete/reset it it has a ton of search engines and settings that Firefox won't sync.

On a brand new profile for Firefox without configuration of any kind I get an AI chatbot in the sidebar and AI tabs suggestions.

Why?

Is Mozilla looking to destroy decades of good will?

Anything like this should be something you have to opt-in to see, not try and opt-out of.

If privacy is a true concern then any of that stuff should be an extension, and not something on by default.

I really don't understand why Mozilla is doing this.

With the latest Firefox 149, the firefox-l10n.js in omni.ja seems to be gone? its normally located in \defaults\preferences\ the file is now completely missing in the omni.ja is it now named differently or is it migrated into another file? normally i edit the file and add for our deployment: pref("network.proxy.type", 0);

I am interested in Firefox View, but I do not see that button on my toolbar (see attached image). When I search extensions I don't see that come up as an option. How do I add Firefox View?

I despise ai in every use and way with a passion. Now, it gets spammed everywhere on this browser, with no apparent way to disable and/or remove that filth. I don't want to see it, ever! Why is it even on by default??? I don't want "chatbots", "Ai assistants" or any of that shit at all.

the "Open all in tabs" menu that appears at the bottom waiting for you to click on it by mistake. we need a way to remove that option while also disabling the middle button over the folder to open all bookmarks over the tabs. It also should be a default because been using firefox since version 1 (previously Netscape Navigator back in 1998) and I rarely had the need for something like that.

asked chatgpt and it suggested some fixes but apparently userChrome.css is actively being ignored. from the look of things, seems like I will have to stick to an specific version like I had to do with Thunderbird after version 102 where ugly UI changes were implemented.
