I use `Always ask you where to save files` when download and every time I download something they're always in different places.
The problem is if I rename the file when I forget to rename it before I press the download, Firefox says the file is missing and refuses to tell me where did I save that file. The `Open Contained Folder` is greyed out and I can't find any location related text.
How can I find where did I download my files?
And why `Open Contained Folder` has to be greyed out?

Hi, I am setting up a laptop for my wife to replace her old one. I have installed Firefox and found that although the main body text is the correct size, the text on the toolbars is very small compared to her old one. How can I increase the toolbar font size without altering the main body. Thank you, Andrew

Hi, I have recently discovered that I cannot save all images via the above route. Might this have something to do with an update? This feature is very useful when you are working with some technical sites that have images of interest. Instead of save the images one by one, or use additional unnecessary addons that may or may not work, I could select all images, point to a subfolder and say 'Open.' This has stopped working. My currecnt version is Firefox 84.0.2, 64-bit, on Linux. Any ideas/solutions on how to get this feature back would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I recently switched to a UK keyboard layout (Logitech MX keys with UK layout), from a US international layout. I changed the system settings to use the proper input and it works like a charm on every program I have, except the browser. Even if I have changed Firefox's main language as "English (UK)" and restarted it, it doesn't recognize sequences such as "CTRL + `" follwed by a vocal. Is there any known solution to this issue?

I have been using Firefox for ages now, and collected a rather large number of bookmarks (>15,000) As far as I know such a number poses some issues, for instance I tried several times to use Sync but was never able to use it.
Since I am using two different machines, I tend to save my bookmarks only on the main one. When I am working on the laptop I never save bookmarks but I message them to myself (never been able to save them on my main machine, sigh) and every once in a while I "restore" bookmarks from the backup set of the main machine on the laptop. It always takes a while and oftentimes it feels like the process hangs, but so far I managed.
Today I started wondering again if there's a less frustrating and more efficient way to handle this. The question I started asking myself was: could I use the same FF profile from the laptop & the main machine? Say by saving it in the cloud?
Thanks for any hint or suggestion!

Hi everyone :)
I didn't find anything about it: I'm looking for a shortcut to open links in the private window without opening the context menu (right click)
I know that.....:
But actually I didn't find any combination to open it in a new private window. Even the context menu "Open Link in a new private window" isn't what I'm looking for as I don't want the new window to be on top.
Is there a way to do it, maybe an extension ?

When I do a search using the address bar, clicking a search engine won't take me to the result directly. Instead a blue box (e.g. @Google) pops up in the address bar, and I have to click one more time to do the search. But the Firefox installed in my office needs one click only (i.e. no blue box pop-up). Is there a way to prevent the blue box from appearing?

When I use Firefox on the external monitor, I set the zoom level to 150%. When I leave home a take my laptop with me, I set the zoom level to 100% to use with a smaller screen.
I want to automate setting the zoom level.
Is there a way to programmatically set the zoom level from a script? Does Firefox expose such an API / command-line tool?
Thanks!

Hi, I opened Firefox this morning and found Amazon pinned among my top sites. Weirdly enough, I can't unpin it or dismiss it - it just stays there whatever I do (in contrast to other pinned sites). It's not a huge problem, but I have some ethical issues with Amazon, so the last thing I want to see every time I open my browser is their logo. I also wonder how did it get there in the first place (I sometimes do browse the site to get an idea what are the prices of various products, but not too often and I'm not sure if there is a way to pin it by accident at all). Does anyone have the same problem?
