Hi, I'm getting an error "The program can't start because mozglue.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." when launching Firefox. Firefox was working last night. I have Windows 7.

I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it from latest version from Mozilla website but got same error when I launched Firefox again. I have tried reinstalling Firefox about 4 times but this did not help to fix the issue.

Would it help fix the issue if someone provides me a copy of mozglue.dll to place in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ on my computer?

Hi, there seem to be a couple of other users affected by this reading this thread (judging by 30 users clicking "I have this problem too").

It would be helpful if you could chime in as well & report what antivirus software (& sandboxing software, if any?) you are using on your system. Also if you take a look into your Firefox program folder: Is the mozglue.dll file actually missing there?

Firefox program folder is in one of these locations:
Windows 32-bit users: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
Windows 64-bit users: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

Out of sudden I am getting this error message when I start fire fox

The procedure entry point ?DllBlocklist_Initialize@@YAXXZ could not be located in the dynamic link library C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe

I tried reinstall, uninstall, reinstall, etc and it is not working out for me yet!

Ever since the MAFF extension was introduced, I've downloaded literally hundreds of web pages archived in that format (I fell in love with it because the format used up so much less space than the mht format). Only problem is, I cannot open them in Windows 7 because it will not let me add Firefox to the list of available programs even after I browse to the firefox.exe after right-clicking the file and selecting "Open With" in the context menu. Is there a reg fix for this?

P.S.: I'm planning to install the Extended Support Release version of Firefox which should give me another six months of support for this extension while I come up with an alternative for archiving web pages. But for now, I desperately need to open these files because prior to switching to the Windows 7 machine I'd downloaded a boatload of maff archived pages containing instructions and tutorials I needed to ease my transition to Win 7.

I just got notice this morning about this new version of Firefox but I'm hesitant to install until I know that my Norton toolbar will work. Can you provide some information? Thanks!

When I try to DL realplayer cloud I get a screen that says Firefox is unable to establish a connection, Also I no longer have the realplayer DL tab in the corner of the videos I am trying to watch/DL. What happened?

This is a windows 8 computer that was RESET yesterday that I am attempting to set up again.

I have copies of the bookmarks on another drive (and actually on another windows 8 computer running FF27) - I can not move the bookmarks onto this reset computer.

I have not attempted to move the whole profile yet just places and also tried export /import bookmarks.

I have just reinstalled FF32 and have the same problem. Yesterday I was successful in moving "places" onto the windows 8 computer with FF27.

When FF29 was released, I discovered that Mozilla had basically just "cloned" Chrome and deleted/broke long-time FF features. So I (and I suspect many, many others) reverted back to the REAL Firefox, version 28. I was wondering if the major blunder(s) had been fixed in the versions following 29?

After the freeze, I could not end the multiple processes in Task Manager so rebooted and uninstalled it. After attempting to reinstall Firefox will not open, yet two instances of Firefox are shown in Task Manager which cannot be stopped (end task) without a reboot. I have deleted all Mozilla folders, profile, and all registry entries. I have tried reinstalling it in Safe Mode with no luck. I have run several malware and virus scans from various sites which show no problems. I can install other software, just not Firefox. I am posting from a different computer so any configuration information shown from this version of Firefox is not valid in my case. I have tried installing this at least 8 times with the same results. I would appreciate any suggestions other than switch to a different browser, as I have faithfully used Firefox since about version 3 and love(d) it. Thanks in advance for any help: I'm stumped!

It seems I am not the only one with this problem. Cannot import data from Old FireFox data file to my newly installed FireFox browser. I have followed the copy /paste steps given to no avail. Has anyone found a solution? SOLVED Thank you.

I've tried for 3 hours now simply to migrate my win7 profile to win10. Using the mozilla guide i get to a point where i open firefox and all is great. Bookmarks etc all successfully show. But then if i close fiefox and open it again, in the top left-hand corner in red i just get

Please tell me what i'm doing wrong!

updated to latest version (today's june 10 2015), restarted, nothing happened. no firefox on drive except mozillafirefox.bak... using chrome now because it works...

I performed a factory reset on my computer today, and when I went to download Firefox 31, I could not find it using this link: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-older-version-of-firefox

I always download this particular version, and just did no more than a week and a half ago.

Up to today I had a lot of downloads in my download library. I usually keep them here for easy access. All of the sudden all of my downloads disappeared. I did not press the clear all button. Can I retrieve my downloads i had in my library? Did I change something by mistake or can I change it so that my downloads stay again in my library until I decide to delete them them?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I downloaded the addon manually because it wouldn't let me automatically. The addon is just to verify the iso image. tails.boum.org has always been the official website. Why does it say insecure connection -- untrusted - phishing attempt and why does it not let me add it as an exception ? Never had a problem before .

Using Windows 7. I have been running firefox for years. 3 weeks ago firefox wouldn't connect to the internet. Tab was saying 'forbinder...' in danish, that would translate into 'connecting...'. Nothing happened. No matter which website I tried to access, or which tab. Other browsers worked fine. I assumed an automatic update had gone wrong. I uninstalled, and got a fresh Firefox. It worked, and it had kept all my settings. Then some time after, I had the same issue. Could not connect. I used windows uninstall and installed a new copy. Worked. But then it happened again. Forth time around I decided to get rid of the mess. I used windows 'remove program'. I deleted the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox, the %APPDATA% roaming profile data also. And then did a fresh install. However, I am back to my old problem. I can't get thorugh to the internet. It is saying 'connecting', no matter which tab or website I use..

I found an issue related to an Nvidia firewall - I don't have that but other Nvidia software. I updated all to latest. Didn't work. I checked proxy settings, changed from system default to 'no proxy'. Checked if other browsers had different settings, which they didn't. So it didn't work. Then I tried messing with the Windows firewall, which is the only one running. When it didn't succeed I deleted firefox as recommended, to let it selfdefine at next startup. But windows firewall is apparantly not triggeded by firefox starting.

Firefox is reporting (Help>About Firefox) that it is running v.43.0.1 and that "Firefox is up-to-date".

I'm not sure whether it is incorrectly reporting v.43.0.1 when it is in fact up-to-date, or thinks that v43.0.1 is the latest.

I could presumably download and install the latest version, but I am concerned why Firefox thinks it is up-to-date, when it clearly isn't.

I have two PCs. One if them has updated to version 48 yestarday. The other one will not update. When I go to the 'about firefox" page it checks and says my firefox is up to date with 47.0.1.

I live in a remote and rural location. Dial-up internet is the only option. Broadband is not available.

The large Version 44.0 update file download will not remain on-line because of rural dial-up limitations.

I've tried a good quality Download Manager software. But the Firefox Update Version 44.0 webpage will not allow the RESUME command needed for a large file download using dial-up internet.

I cannot upgrade to Broadband. I cannot download the Version 44.0 file---it produces a corrupted file--or webpage refuses RESUME command.

A creative workaround from an open-minded Firefox savvy individual is requested.

...I upgraded my Firefox browser today to version 55.0, but when I restarted it, it wouldn't access any of the details of the Profile I use all the time... I have looked repeatedly, and there is never any History, either pre-existing, or newly created, and my Bookmarks and Fast Dial add-on aren't available... When I try to log into a site, however, it still remembers my Password data, and that is visible in the Options : Saved Logins popup... I had a similar experience with Firefox Developer Edition, and I finally gave up, and switched to regular Firefox, but I'm now running out of options!! I am running Windows 10, on a Laptop with a 6GHz processor
