Hi our Kaspersky detected objects but unfortunately our antivirus can't delete all the detected. I try to uninstall the thunderbird but still unable to delete the virus's message.

When I search the internet using the safari app, Is Firefox focus working in the background…. Or do I search using the Firefox focus app and it used Safari??? Can you explain how best to use the internet so that Firefox focus adds more security?

I've just received a security alert regarded as High regarding Thunderbird. The alert says it has to do with version 128.7.0 but Thunderbird says I am using version 140.2.0esr (64 bit version).

Have you been made aware that there might be a problem? Do you have a solution for this?

possibly very stupid question - how do i not mask emails to addresses of people i want to know who i am? or does relay only apply to websites/newsletters etc and not emails to contacts in my inbox?

This is not the first time you have sent an email to me indicating I should "View all sites where your info is exposed", and each time I receive your emails the sites you suggest are sites I have never seen before, let alone logged into with a password.

I use a Password Organizer Book, with all of my logins and passwords for each site I use. I do not use a password app, and have NEVER used a password app. Each time I go to the website you suggest, It's always a site I have never seen before so it would be impossible to login and change the password. I always check my Password Organizer Book to make sure.

I don't know what you want me to do since I cannot login to the website you are suggesting. Is there action I should be taking? I don't know what it would be, but if you know please let me know.

Been using thunderbird for at least 20 years, and learn to live with the bugs and wait for the next release waiting and expecting the issues of the previous release were solved in the next one.

I've been using S/MIME certificates for many years without problem. I've recently installed a new certificate wich is correctly installed in my personal repository expiring in 2027. Since version 141 this certificates shows as selected, but is not used. Updated to release 142 ... but the problem persists.

I'm attaching a screen capture were shows the error message and the Developers Console showing the exitcode when trying to send a mail with digitally signed.

Please also note (i don´t know if this is related or not) that when y check the certificate in the account the hexadecimal ID of the certificate is not shown. If I clear the certificate and select it again it is shown in this screen. Attached to this you can find a capture of what mentioned before.

Please let me know if more information is needed.

Thunderbird open when I skip password prompt for more than 4 times. I password protect thunderbird & when I try to open it's prompted for password BUT when I skip it by click on X for more than 4 times Thunderbird opened & I'm able to mail & read mail. It's a security bug so please fix this.

Setting up Thunderbird for some non-technical users that receive messages with tracking images, scripts etc. We would like to prevent users from enabling/allowing remote content; in other words, we would like Thunderbird not to display the “Preferences” button or the whole “To protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked (…)” bar, like it is visible in Remote Content in Messages. Is it doable in current Thunderbird versions?

Setting permissions.default.image=2 seems to actually block remote images even if user tries to allow them, which is good but confusing. It also breaks images in the build-in web browser, it is unintended. We are unsure if the setting applies to all kinds of remote content.

I am looking for a way to protect specific e-mails from being viewed from the list of e-mails, i.e. when the laptop has shut down due to inactivity and someone else opens it again and the Thunderbird window is still open. Albeit the TB password, once in the programme all e-mails are easy to view. Critical, individual e-mails could be protectes. I can do that when using a web browser for the mail provider (instead of the TB software) with a plugin Mailvelope (which unfortunately will discontinue soon). What programms could I use instead? this is NOT about end-to-end encryption, but individual protection of mails, e.g. with a password (or key) shared with the addressee alone. Trying to set up Mozilla Thunderbird for email use on a new MS computer. After entering data into the "Set up your existing email account" form, I get a box that says "Add Security Exception". It identifies the email provider we use with the number 110 behind it. The box warns that the certificate it identifies belongs to another site, which could mean that someone was trying to impersonate the site. What to do? Thank you.

I continually get popups wanting me to give permission for TBird to access all sorts of stuff. Is this a BUG or a "Feature"?. How do I turn them off? Or should I give permissions?

Trying to install Thunderbird on a new computer, when I get to the "set up your existing email address" and fill in the information and click the "done" box. A dialogue box pops up and indicates:

You are about to override how Thunderbird identifies this site. Legitimate banks, stores, and other public sites will not ask you to do this. Location: ___________________________ Get Certificate This site attempts to identify itself with invalid information. Wrong Site The certificate belongs to a different site, which could mean that someone is trying to impersonate this site.

It then goes on asking if I want to make a security exception.

Is this a legitimate site for my Thunderbird install? I'm not very computer literate and concerned to make a mistake that could cause problems. Please help me with this as I need to get my email working on this computer. Thanks, Gary
