Hi, I was wondering why my cursor cannot be placed properly on the place, take a look at the image, the cursor needs to get lower in order to properly placed on the right window,

please help

For seemingly no reason at all - suddenly no menu opens - even if I select text and right mouseclick - nothing! Clicking on folder - nothing. Clicking any menu - nothing. BUT it actually opens! It just does not show! For example, if click on Tools, then it will be dark. If I move the mouse down where should be the first thing in the menu "Downloads" then it is actually there, Downloads opens. So what is this? I need a fix, fast. This is my main browser and I have 8500 tabs. So no "reinstall" is not an option. I even had to make this post in another browser because I can not use the "Which topic best describes your question?" dropdown - it does not show!

I have an external monitor connected to my HP laptop. The display on the monitor is fine for all applications except Firefox. The text is readable, but distorted. Is there some setting I need to change?

When opening AI Chatbot sidebar with ChatGPT and trying to login, after entering email the site says: "Something went wrong while getting your SSO info".

It often happens with ChatGPT but usually I resolve this issue by adding "0" in the URL: https://auth.openai.com/ -> https://auth0.openai.com/ and this resolves the issue. However in case of sidebar I cannot add this 0, so cannot login...

When I receive an email from a facebook source, Fierfox says it cannot open the [age. It used to open the same messages in the past. How do I get Firefox to open these?

I'm getting "Too Many Requests" error message this morning when I try to login to MS Outlook. My OS is Windows and I run Proton VPN.

NOTE: I do not GET this error when I use the DuckDuckGo browser to login to Outlook.

I updated to the latest Firefox 131.0.2 on 10-9-24. After using Firefox to view the digital version of Startribune.com issue, I was able to view the front page but was unable to scroll down or up on the page using my touchpad. I was able to scroll after enlarging the size by one click, but after clicking to turn to the next page, the size button returned to the initial size and did not permit scrolling without resizing the screen with one click to the right. So I can turn the page, but have to resize each page in order to scroll down. So, until Firefox is once again functional enough to enable reading digital version (scrolling and turning the page without resizing) of my local paper, I will use Safari which is completely functional. I have Norton installed, which might be the problem, or maybe not. Computer is a MacBook Air, but the same problem happens on my desktop iMac, which also has Norton protection. Problem is trouble connecting almost every time I want to go to a new website. The internet IS working and computer IS connected to internet. But Server is 'not found' according to this frequent msg:

Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.

We can’t connect to the server at www.google.com.

If you entered the right address, you can:

   Try again later
   Check your network connection
   Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)

See the attached. Usually when the process gets above 1gb I kill it, but I've watched it get over 7gb before. This is a terrible nuisance that other browsers handle with ease. Why does Firefox allow such selfishness through your browser? You have the ability to allow or disallow anything! Get on top of it! I say this because more than a decade ago you had the same problem on Windows as you now have on Linux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GET A FUCKEN BRAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does Firefox block so many news and current affairs links? Is this censorship? When I am blocked by Firefox I can usually rely on Opera to open them immediately and without any fuss. I'm fast losing confidence in Firefox as my default browser.

When I open up Mozilla Thunderbird, at the bottom of my screen I see this message: diane@centerstage.com: downloading message 135 of 5150 in In box. This is keeping me from actually clicking on an email in my inbox to respond to. How do I get this download to stop? My emails come in instantly so why am I getting downloading all these messages when I know that I'm not getting these amount of emails into my inbox?

I am trying to listen to a book on Audible, but can't. I get a notice that "Playback is no longer supported on this browser version" and to update my browser. How do I do this so I can listen to my books on Audible?

I get a message like this every time I start Thunderbird. The topic came up last year but the conclusion was along the lines of "...this problem will be fixed in version 128" but it was never clear whether or not the User followed Mozilla's support replies or what they had to do to clear the email message from Thunderbird. .....Well I'm running version 128.1.1esr and the problem still exists.

My questions:

1. What is Thunderbird trying to do? Compact individual email files? Compae from ct the whole Thunderbird Profiles folder?

2. Is the problem the size of the Profiles folder or the overall size of the hard drive the Profiles folder resides on? What is the Hard/solidstate drive is the maximum?

3. Is the problem related to the amount of Free Space left on the Hard/solidstate drive or is the issue the number of individual files?

4. Is the issue related to the number of Thunderbird files and/or folders OR is it related to the total number of files and/or folders on the hard drive?

5. Is there a limit to the number of sub-folder levels that Thunderbird can navigate?

A couple of weeks ago my Firefox desktop suddenly stopped loading images correctly. This is especially true for image-heavy websites like Tumblr. Images will either not load or only partially load. It takes several refreshes to get even 75% of images to load properly (including Shift+Ctrl+R). My Internet connection and speed are normal. Weirdly, other browsers loaded images fine at first, but now they're laggy, too? They still work better in comparison, though. And the Internet on my iPhone and iPad are perfectly fine.

I've tried all of these multiple times: Restarting my PC, Internet, and router. Disabling certain extensions (especially those for Tumblr and ad blockers). Restarting in Troubleshoot Mode without extensions. Reducing number of tabs.

I tried the different Profile trick I found Googling this issue to death, and it works, but I want to fix my default profile's issues if I can. Oh, and YouTube is insufferable to watch and crashes the browser, but I suspect that might have to do more with what YouTube's trying to do with ad blockers. Especially since Chrome isn't much better on that count (aside from the crashing).

Edit: This issue started occurring around the time I downloaded the last Firefox update before the latest one. I thought installing the latest one might solve the problem, but it didn't. This might just be a coincidence.

I'm a senior and food stamp recipient. I'm trying to et into my account with FL Dept of Children & Families Access account, and I get this: An error occurred during a connection to dcf-access.dcf.state.fl.us. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

I don't know what any of this means or what to do to fix it. I'm using Firefox on my Desktop.

My LA TIMES e-edition newspaper do not scroll up and down.Somehow it needs to do something about the Configure firewalls.Would be very appreciate if you could help.

We mail out publication notices to subscribers. The Titles and Highlights come from a MySQL DB that stores text extracted from Adobe InDesign or PDFs which include typographer's punctuation and may also contain HTML tags added for display on the website.

All data is stored, encoded, retrieved and displayed as UTF-8 using PHP and PHP mailer on Win platform. Other common Email clients tested, including Outlook, display the message content correctly. T-Bird (current) displays error characters for all entities in html view yet the message source correctly reads all charaters in accordance with UTF-8. We have tried every imaginable method from binhex to literal string replacement in regex and an array of PHP functions. Nothing works. The source is correct, the rendering is not. It would appear that T-bird is broken. Does anyone have a clue?
