i got an update message and restarted firefox. now all my saved bookmarks and passwords for accounts has disappearred. how do i get them back? under settings, it doesn't give me option to import from previous firefox

When a video is popped out, in PiP mode, and the "owning" page is scrolled such that the video "origin" scrolls off the viewport, the PiP video pauses. If the video is started again, and the page is scrolled more, it will re-pause.

This seems to be a Firefox behaviour and not a site-specific one.

Is there a setting to keep the video to continue playing?

This would be helpful on Twitter/X, for example, when scrolling the timeline with a PiP playing from a tweet.

when using the built-in Payment Methods feature in Firefox, I find it quite difficult to distinguish between multiple saved cards, especially when they are visually very similar.

In my case, I’m working with several Stripe test cards for development, and they often only differ in subtle details (like the last digits). This makes it easy to pick the wrong card during checkout or testing.

Is there currently a way to add a custom description or label to a saved payment card (for example “Stripe test – successful payment” or “Stripe test – 3D Secure”) that would be shown in the card selection dialog?

If not, is this something that’s planned or already discussed as a potential improvement? From a developer’s perspective, this would be a big usability win.

You started pushing a widget a while back that shows the days I've been on Yahoo, concurrent and otherwise. This thing is annoying and I want it gone. I don't care how much I've used Yahoo on my devices and You already know via tracking cookies.

Make it go away or tell me how to get rid of it - PLEASE.

When I try to visit a specific journal site that requires authentication, the browser automatically redirects me to an authentication page that I have used before. This is very annoying because every time I click a link to the journal, I’m sent to the other portal and can’t access the article. I want to stress that I haven’t installed any add‑on that would cause this redirection. I think I did that myself manually but I have no idea how. I’ve already deleted the cookies for both sites, but nothing has changed. I hope that makes sense, it’s a bit difficult to explain.

I'm using firefox 147.0, on mac Tahoe 26.2.

Hi, I set a primary password so that this is required when I first sign in to Firefox but although the request for the password shows up, I realise I only need to press 'cancel' and firefox is opened.

My old laptop computer completely died. I installed Firefox on my new computer. However, after signing back into Firefox, my stored passwords and tabs were not available. How do I find/recover saved login passwords and tabs? I am a long-time Firefox user and had a lot of stored information that I assumed would follow my account.

Moved from Windows to Mac and now facing this issue, so it seems to be a Firefox + Mac OS compatibility issue.

Have turned on screen recording permissions in Mac settings and some other accessibility permissions that have been suggested and nothing helps.

Will need to use a different browser just to screen share.

From time to time I can’t clear my Firefox history. I try from the menu, then within the settings, to no avail. I restarted Firebox and even my Mac, and the history remains. I used CleanMyMac to empty the cache and the history is still there.

My Firefox: 147.0.2 (64-bit) My Mac: Sonoma 14.8.3 (23J220)

one website is timing out, I started to have problem yesterday. I was able to load when I tethered with my iphone.

before that I tried

Closed all the application rebooting Mac tried on Safari

             Firefox
             Google chrome

with no success

Chrome says it's 504 error
