firefox on mac seems entirely broken.

in about:profiles I see 1 profile (with custom name). after restart the profile is still there, but all settings lost( Passwords, links, addons )

the same as happened before: I restarted the computer for update. than there were multiple profiles in about data. i got cunfused an in the end i deleted firefox entirely and reinstalled.

I recall that Firefox used to log-in automatically to websites that require a user name and/or password. This helpful feature seems to have been removed, even for sites that are listed in the "Passwords" display. How can I get it back?

Without the correct password, I cannot sign in. However, I want to use Firefox on Windows 11. When I searched with a 6-digit number, I was not specific enough and my got the wrong? Firefox account. Walk me through this please.

I only use Firefox to play two browser games that both use the 1-5 keys as an alternative to clicking the mouse. Accidentally clicking Ctrl and switching tabs out of nowhere is becoming a really annoying problem, but I don't see any way to just turn off shortcuts and hotkeys like other the other browsers I use. Is there any way to do this? Even a specific extension that makes the Crtl button do nothing would help, the one I was recommended won't download due to a "corruption".

I accidentally typed my protonmail password into the field of my username/mail address. I don't remember what more I did (propably answered yes to save) but now there is as autofilled my password for username always I open my Protonmail account. I am using Firefox as browser (should be the newest version) while Emailing.

I tried to delete autofill of Firefox according to the next advise: "go to Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll to "Forms and Autofill," and uncheck "Autofill addresses" to stop saving them"

Then I was astonished. There is no "Forms and Autofill" setting on my Firefox at all!

Protonmail settings didn't help either nor Windows 11 - neither FAQ.

hi i am unable to use the middle search bar on the firefox screen , i understand that this search bar is a dummy bar, i have been told that to make this bar work you have to alter the settings using about:config process, and changing the handoff from ture to false , to which I have done in the past and it has worked , but for a reason I cannot understand this seems not to work now , i am completely lost now and i am reaching out to the community for help and advise thank you . The website commonly used by Arizonans to make filings for court, will not work properly with Firefox, even after turning off Enhanced Tracking Protection. I had to use Chrome instead.

Firefox deleted many folders in my bookmarks file. Then, trying to straighten this out, Firefox has completely changed its home page layout and I can not manage it even in the simplest way. I want to restore everything to how it was two or three days ago.

"Oops, your browser's HLS setting is too low." Trying to stream, in browser, and I'm completely blocked today. The browser says it's fully updated. And yet.

Whatever the case, where and how do I check and/or adjust the HLS setting?

When on Firefox desktop I can't reveal any passwords. Currently, it's set to prompt for a user login from the computer to reveal a password but it doesn't show the prompt when clicking to reveal a password.

Restarting the browser doesn't seem to work. Restarting the computer doesn't seem to do the trick either. I tried signing out and back in from my Firefox account but that didn't work either. I tried using mobile Firefox and that seems to work properly. Passwords also auto-fill like normal, basically the only thing not working is the password reveal. I'm not exactly sure what I can proceed to try next to fix this.

Have tried different solutions like Malware product and cleaning cashe and cookies. When I search a known safe site I get redirect by Convertitmas stating the (known safe) site is unsafe. Best regards Henrik Nygaard
