Bonjour j 'ai installe Thunderbird sur mon ordi et avec les parametres adequats celui-ci me met ce meaasage d 'erreur: "Connexion au serveur impossible.la configuration ,l identifiant oe le mot de passe sont probablement incorrects. .Mon adresse mail ; alain.hautreux@orange.fr... Après verication tout est correct,je ne comprends pas. Merci pour votre aide Cordialement Alain Hautreux

A search showed that others have experienced this same error message, but as far as I can tell, they all were unable to access their email. These messages began appearing about a month ago. They pop up in Troubleshooting Mode. They did not in Windows Safe Mode. AVG and ZoneAlarm are not the culprits.

I have been using Thunderbird for many years. I have 4 accounts that have all been set up and working fine. This morning the 2 yahoo.com accounts stopped working. I logged in to the impacted accounts using a web browser and password just fine. I then updated Thunderbird to 116.0 to see if that would fix the problem, but it did not. The outlook and gmail accounts are working fine, for now.

When Thunderbird attempts to download mail for the yahoo accounts, I get a large pop-up window with "Edge: Too Many Requests". The pop-up window is blank except for that error message. I get the small pop-up with the Authentication Failure message. Sometimes I get Retry, Enter Password or Cancel. But I never see a window that will allow me to enter my password.

I can send/receive mail from the accounts while logged in via a browser but authentication fails within Thunderbird.

maybe once per day, sometimes more or less, i get the 'login to server failed' with the option to retry. the retry always works, usually the first time, but sometimes requires another retry. this apparently started happening after an update, because it never happened before a few months ago. i figured another update would fix the issue, but nothing has changed yet. j

is there a retry setting somewhere that i'm missing?

Thunderbird Version 140.4.0esr on Win10/64 on Thursday 10/30 stopped downloading from DigitalSpace... does not connect to server. Suspect DS problem?

T-bird shows "old server" refuses connection. NEW server info shows on attached images T-bird does not recognize as a "valid server".

DigitalSpace impossible to contact. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Until last month, Thunderbird never had any issue connecting to GMAIL accounts to send and receive messages. Suddenly, there is a bug and Thunderbird is not sending or receiving emails from GMAIL. Is anyone else experiencing this? Also, with the current version of Thunderbird, there is no way to insure that I am receiving updates and have the most current version. I have used Thunderbird for decades and it is now very buggy, and getting more difficult to use! - Mark Robbins

Thunderbird stopped receiving emails the day before. Now when I start Thunderbird I am being redirected to pinterest to sign in with username and password...not doing it. Hoping someone can help resolve this issue before I reformat my computer. Have not had this issue in the past and have been using Thunderbird for many many years, happened all of a sudden.

I am using Thunderbird with an IMAP account. My quota for my inbox, as indicated in the lower right, is 98%. If I log in to my provider's webmail the quota stated is 2%. How do I fix this mismatch?

I have relatively few emails in my Inbox, Sent, Trash, Draft etc folders. Deleted folder has been emptied. Folders have been compacted a number of times. Thunderbird has been closed and reopened. I have checked with my provider, names.co.uk, and they confirm that my current usage is 2%. They pin the blame on Thunderbird.

I have searched online and whilst this does appear to be a fairly common problem, I have not found a solution.

I have tried moving all but the few latest emails to Local Folder, going through the usual deletion, empty deleted, compact folders, restart etc. and can only lower the percentage a small amount in Thunderbird, and it soon rises again to 98%. And it's very inconvenient not to have recent emails still in my Inbox.

Can anybody help with a solution, please?

Im struggling with adding second email account in the freshly downloaded Thunderbird on new PC. I tested on multiple PCs and the errors keeps repeating. It says the login information are incorrect but I know for sure they are correct. Exchange auth error it says. After multiple login tries the app just freezes and stop responding.

The first email account added is working fine. Thunderbird version 144.0.1. Windows 11

Hi; I've signed up for the vpn, several times, but nothing appears. I don't see any box on the top right of any bar. I don't even know the symbol, but have checked all that are there. How do I turn it on? I found something about "privacy windows" but that just leads back to the signup page. I know it'll be simple, but I'm missing it totally.

I have been using Thunderbird for a number of years now and found it very good , but at the moment I have a problem, As an example when I clic on an e bay account to open and send feedback it won't open just shows an oblong when square boxes corners and centre. My email server is over a broadband connection. I need help with setting up the account. Both incoming and outgoing addresses are "https:/mail.cis-broadband.com". I have been unable to connect to the server.

Thunderbird not fetching mail. Message: "could not connect to server mail.bigpond.com. Thenonnection was refused. Note: Webmail working.

I recently lost my connection to my ISP and have re-established my connection, but Thunderbird can receive mail but cannot send it. I can send from the ISP mailbox. For some reason Thunderbird will not connect to my ISP’s outgoing mail server. Any ideas will be appreciated.

I was using MS outlook and recently I could not connect. Apparently ATT made a change so that instead of a password you need a Secure email Key. Since I needed to make a change I thought I'd try Thunderbird mail, but I still need the KEY. After a number of efforts with the ATT AI and human support people I could not find where the Key is entered on ATT. Now I know this forum is about Thunderbird and not ATT, but there must be Thunderbird users that have ATT and have made a seccussful connection. There are a few ATT help pages that outline how to do this, but each time I look at my ATT profile I can not find where to enter the Secure Mail Key. Is there anyone that can help me with this?
