I don't wish to use the calendar that comes with Thunderbird, but instead continuing with my Macintosh iCal.

1) How do I switch off the Thunderbird calendar function? 2) How do I get the calendar invitations sent to me as an ICS file attachments, that I can open in Mac iCal. Just like in Airmail and in Microsoft Outlook.

I would like a view by Year option in the Thunderbird Calendar. Since Microsoft Calendar tries to launch Outlook and setup a new email address when you try to use just the Calendar it has become not useful to someone who does not use Outlook. You can get the Calendar app to launch into the Calendar on the 4th try but it's inconsistent and a pain. I was trying to check a date/month by displaying the Year view with the 12 small monthly calendars like the Microsoft Calendar has and found you cannot do this. I'd prefer it as a feature rather than a plug-in. Thanks

I accidently unsubscribed my current calendar. It does not list anymore, I do not know how to list unsubscribed calendars. How to re-subscribe it? (Window 11 w/latest Thunderbird). thanks very much.

Is there a setting, like in Outlook, to snooze a reminder until "x minutes before start"?

If I have a reminder for e.g. 3pm, which is set to go off 1 hour before and then I want to snooze to give 5 minutes warning, in Outlook I would set it to remind me 5 minutes before. This works at any time up until 6 minutes before the event, regardless of when I snooze it..

But it seems that in TB, if you're away from your desk until e.g. 2.30pm, then you would have to calculate and manually enter "remind me in 25 minutes" to achieve the same effect.

I can't find an addon which does this, but happy to stand corrected!

I was adjusting the width of the calendar list, and every time I clicked on the adjuster icon (that line and arrow that you slide to grow or reduce area), the line moved to the right automatically, until the line went to the far right side and all you see is the sidebar. I can't slide it back.

I have quit Thunderbird and re-launched, and also restarted the Mac. No change.

Is it possible to have my Outlook calender (the email is already in thunderbird) in my thunderbird and the calender should be editable and when I add events, I also want it to show on my calender in Outlook. TBSync is not working anymore. Please help me!

My iCal calendar has been connected to Thunderbird for ages and the connection has survived several updates on both ends. The Server is Nextcloud (currently 32.0.0.13). In the Today pane next to my Inbox I always have the "Tasks" view open. Creating, editing and completing tasks works as it always did. But some time ago (I don't know when exactly) all options in the "Filter Tasks" sub menu became greyed out. This used to work and I'm not aware of any change I made.

The same happened on my other system which runs Thunderbird 149.0 as the ubuntu-snap-build supplied by Ubuntu on Ubuntu 24.04.

Is there something I can do or is this a Thunderbird bug?

Any chance in a standalone Thunderbird calendar application to be put into works and have the possibility to be made for Android now that Thunderbird is available on Android as well, as I think it would be really great if I could have the benefits of both the Thunderbird email client and Thunderbird Calendar at the same time which would rival against other apps like Proton Calendar and Tuta Calendar.

Which would then hopefully increase the amount of people that use Thunderbird products.

Thanks for all the hard work the dev team has done for the Thunderbird email client for Android as i am really grateful for it as I use it as a gmail replacement until Thunderbird Pro is available to get a Thundermail email address, but I noticed a gap in the market for a standalone Thunderbird calendar app for Android and I think it would be a massive missed opportunity!

On my home computer and my lap top I have Thunderbird installed. Both profiles are identical. The emails on both systems are updated by just downloading them from the provider account. My calender is normaly used on my home computer as well all appointments are saved there.

Going on longer trips away from home I would like to import all my calendar data from my home computer to my lap top. Copying the complete profile takes too much time. By just copying the calendar-data file to my lap top I do not get a working result. What do I miss?

Hallo everybody, I replaced my outlook app with Thunderbird and happy with the e-mail function. But I'm desperatly looking for a calender integration. Is there a funtionality I didn't see or do I need to use an add-in? I couldn't find something in the forum yet. Kind regards Oliver

Hi, am not finding anything helpful in the support area, so hoping someone can help me solve. When a calendar reminder pops up, and I try to snooze or dismiss, I get this message:

Status Code: 2,147,500,037, null

Server Replied with 400 If you’re seeing this message after snoozing or dismissing a reminder and this is for a calendar you do not want to add or edit events for, you can mark this calendar as read-only to avoid such experience in future. To do so, get to the calendar properties by right-clicking on this calendar in the list in the calendar or task view.

Thing is, I do want to add and edit events, so I have no other options and the reminder keeps popping up every couple of minutes it seems. Any help resolving is appreciated. Thx!

I have the Thunderbird desktop installed on windows 10 computers that are blocked from any internet browsing. I am not able to find instructions on how to share calendars between computers.

I am able to export and import calendars between computers, but the events only show up in the side bar as tasks. We want to be able to edit the shared calendar from any computer.

Rookie move. I deleted a calendar (not realizing that by deleting the calendar, which I didn't use, I was deleting all of my tasks).

Is there a way to restore the calendar?

The month at a glance format was great. This new format(s) Feels like you fixed something that was not broken. I liked the old format. How can I get back to it?

Thunderbird Mobile (for Android) is missing support for iMIP/iTIP (calendar invitation) response emails. For context I will add that in Thunderbird Desktop when a calendar event attendee has responded to an invite the resulting email message shows a highlighted text about the status of the response. There is also a button to either update the event when the response has yet to be processed or show the details of the event when it has been already processed. This capability is missing in Thunderbird Mobile (for Android). Please add it to the feature list as it annoying to have to lay hands on a laptop just to update a calendar event. Thank you.

mac calendar keeps wanting me to use a password for Safari, which I do not use, which then passes me on to Chrome. Plus calendar is not syncing with phone anymore. Help

How does the 'Covert to Task ...' function work on an email? When I click the Convert to task, nothing happens. I was expecting to see a task in my task list. Where does it go? I have a 'Task calendar' and a Google calendar in my list.

I want to just search my calendars, but the search bar only seems to look up emails, not calendar items. I know I was able to do it in the past. Attached are two images.1) of me putting the search bar into the calendar tab and 2) of the search bar showing up there - but when I search all that comes up are emails.
